People will tend to believe what they've heard all their life.
Plus, Catholics are not very adventurous and tend not to listen to anything unless it's CATHOLIC.
So how would they know anything else?? They don't.
Plus, they're told they're the ONE TRUE CHURCH. It could go to your head, know what I mean?
They aren't the most humble people on earth since they believe they have the whole truth and other Christians have only partial truth.

So, yeah. I agree with you. I do know some born again Catholics, BTW.

Fran
I don't know what it is like to grow up in a Catholic household so I can not really speak as if I have walked in your shoes. So please don't feel like I'm trying to insult anyone because we all have different obstacles to overcome in life. I was just trying to explain the importance of understanding God correctly in a world that seems like they think Christ was bluffing when He tells us unless we repent we will all like wise perish

Hi EL

I explained what I meant in my very next sentence. Here it is again:

It could go to your head, know what I mean?
They aren't the most humble people on earth since they believe they have the whole truth and other Christians have only partial truth.

I meant that being told all your life that only your church is the right church could go to your head and make you not be humble, as Jesus instructed.

What I get from your whole post, however, is something I believe to be true and that is that there is no perfect church. That's because churches are made up of men. There's only ONE true church and that's the Church, the Body of Christ. There are problems there too but God will protect that church as the future wife of Christ.

Revelation is not a favorite book of mine - in fact, I've never studied it. Would you care to explain about Jesus not being one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse? I'd appreciate it.

Oh. And Catholics don't really read the bible. Only recently have they begun to and have bible studies. The CC just wanted to proclaim what they wanted and everyone just followed.

Okay. Just so we're clear. I grew up Catholic and know their doctrine well. I don't agree with it and am no longer Catholic.

My belief of the white horse is the false gospel that being proclaimed through out all denominations. And if the white horse isn't here already I'd hate to see the world when it does arrive. Honestly I read scripture everyday for hours for over a decade and did not see it clearly enough to even consider myself a child of the promise. Why was that so? Because while I had stopped drinking and doing drugs and stuff there were still stuff I needed to repent of that I thought I was justified in thinking such as the US government spending trillions of dollars. As well as resentment thinking I was being oppressed. After I noticed it and repented I saw the word clearly. What I am saying is it takes a totally repented heart to understand the word. Also I was just thinking about the verse the love of money is the root of all evil and I used to think it played a big part in sin but perhaps it may be a verse we should take literally perhaps behind every sin the love of money is behind it somehow.

I'm not sure what you mean by:

I mean, I think it's not good that the U.S. is spending trillions of dollars. I believe we're oppressed by governments. Are you saying you think this is sinful?

What false gospel do you think is being proclaimed?

My experience has been different. I felt like a child of the promise from the first day Jesus came into my life, many years ago - before I had ever even read the bible and knew no doctrine. But I knew God existed and that He must love us, and I knew satan was alive and well.

Even if it is wrong we are to cast all of our cares to Jesus and love our enemies. And if you don't know what false gospel is being preached I suggest you stay in the word until you do because I don't want to offend you but that white horse maybe already in the process of trying to totally conquer you.

it is obvious that the 'white-horse' is 'false-religion', and IMATATOR of Christ, and a bow with no arrows...

satan deceives the 'whole-world' - always the MANY are deceived...

all sins can be traced to one of (3) principles - for the scripture says, 'love not the world, nor
the things that are in the world, for all that is in the world, the lust of the eyes, and the lust of the flesh,
and the pride of life...every SIN falls into one of these (3) catagories...

SO, be not 'tempted nor be ensnared' by the SIN that so easily besets us'...

How does anyone really know what the truth of the matter is? how do you know that the one seated on the white horse with a bow and a crown is not the king of the heavens Jesus Christ Himself?

=====================================================

using the principle that scripture interprets scripture, and looking at the scripture in MATT. 24:3-4,
the disciples asked Christ, 'what shall be the sign of Your coming and the end of the age?,
and Christ answers, 'Take heed that no one deceives you, for many shall come in My name, saying,
'I AM Christ,' and will deceive many.'

this is 'false-religion' or 'the white horse'...if you look at MATT. 24:6-7, you will see that wars are
described and then famine, pestilences and earthquakes, this is the 'red horse' red is blood, and then
the 'black horse' mentioned in REV. 6:6, is describing famine as in MATT. 24. - the pestilence mentioned
in MATT. is the 'pale horse' mentioned in REV. 6:8.
in short, MATTHEW 24 and REV. 6 tell the same events, one in straight forward speech and one symbolic...

hope this helps.

Are you saying here that you believe a vast majority of Europeans are Catholic?
And if so, do you mean in religious affiliation (which means nothing) or in practice?

A vast majority of Europeans are already Catholics. There are a lot of things wrong with the EU but the Illuminati are not at the top of most peoples lists. We are having a referendum about our Membership in June I hope we vote to leave and get our Sovereignty back. Obama is coming here this week to lecture us all as to why we should stay in. Its not going down well here. Its like us sending David Cameron to tell the US who to vote in as President.
Oh my. I missed this. A vast majority of Europeans are already Catholics.
How do you know that? A poll?

I hope you vote for the Brexit too. What do you need Europe for? It just ruined everything with no end in sight. A nice experiment at the cost of normal working people. Everybody knows it doesn't work, but we can't get out.
No sovereignty, no printing money - just a lot of austerity. Great, isn't it? If England could get out of this mess, it should.

As for Catholics. I hope you mean by religious affiliations, since the religion of Europe is Secularism.

And where does Barak Hussein Obama get off telling England what to do?
Does the EU help him somehow? With trade agreements, maybe ? Does he even know how to MAKE an agreement. It's pitiful what the U.S. has been reduced to. AND Europe...

I'm sorry Bonie. The above statement of yours is incorrect.

Catholics believe that when Jesus told Peter that he was the rock and that upon the rock of Peter Jesus would build his church, they understand this to mean the church under the leadership of the Pope, or the church in Rome, the Catholic Church.

In fact, if you check Mathew 16:18 you'll find the the word church begins with a lower case "c", indicating the institution, not the Body of Christ.

All believers in Jesus, however ARE members of the Body of Christ- but Jesus meant an actual, physical church.

When Jesus had dinner at Matthew’s house He was asked how He could spend time eating with sinners (Matthew 9:9-13). When Jesus heard this He answered with words that were very telling. He said, “They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick. But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”
With these words, Jesus described the church. Imperfect people who know they needed a Savior, working together to build relationships, help those in need, and to glorify God by striving to be like Christ and share His love with others.
