John 11:9b-16 If a man walk in the day he stumbleth not

The evening of the 23rd or morning of the 24th of September is the 17th of Elul. That is the day that Germany passed the Nuremberg laws in 1935. "In 1935, Nazi Germany passed the Nuremberg laws, a set of racist policies directed primarily against Jews. The Nazis blamed the Jews for poverty, unemployment, and the loss of World War I. Jews were banned from any professional jobs and Jewish stores were boycotted. Anyone with even one Jewish grandparent was stripped of German citizenship, with no basic rights. Within 10 years, the Nazi genocidal machine had swept through eastern Europe, leaving 6 million Jews murdered."

With this as the context let's consider what the Lord said:

John 11:9b-14 If a man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world. 10 But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because the light is not in him. 11 These things spake he: and after this he saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus is fallen asleep; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep. 12 The disciples therefore said unto him, Lord, if he is fallen asleep, he will recover. 13 Now Jesus had spoken of his death: but they thought that he spake of taking rest in sleep. 14 Then Jesus therefore said unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead.

The Lord is coming to "awake Lazarus out of sleep". Why the play on words? We are told repeatedly that we need to wake up and watch. At the Lord's second coming the dead in Christ will rise first, but also the church will need to wake up. The Lord's coming we need to wake up, and He will rapture us who are alive and remain as well as those who have died. This raising of Lazarus from the dead acts to wake up the sleeping church.

15 And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, to the intent ye may believe; nevertheless let us go unto him.

This verse reminds me of what Paul said in Philippians where he said that the things which happened to him worked out for salvation for our sakes. The rapture of the saints will be a tremendous help for any Christians who are left behind to believe. Think of what that will do for all those believers on the earth who are not raptured, it should help them to believe.

16 Thomas therefore, who is called Didymus, said unto his fellow-disciples, Let us also go, that we may die with him.

People disparage Thomas but he gives us a great sense of what is happening at this time. What we are seeing today does not make sense to most people. You have an experimental vaccine, there are some risks with it, OK, but people can make informed decisions and in many cases it could be the best option for them. But the government doesn't allow informed decisions, it censors all debate, is opaque with the data and ignores all protocols for approving a vaccine. On top of all that they are mandating the vaccine, something that is extremely unusual, even though the risks from this vaccine are much worse than other vaccines that were cancelled because they are too risky. People are getting fired, fined, and prevented from buying anything if they are unvaccinated. Now if this was happening in China or Russia or Iran we could chalk it up to totalitarian dictators run amok. But this is happening worldwide, Australia, France, the US, Canada. The urgency is incredible. This has caused many people to severely question and doubt the government. We have caught them in numerous lies and falsehoods. What is going on? Some Christians see this as the "Mark of the Beast" even though it is quite clear that regardless of how similar it may be it is not "The Mark of the Beast", at least not yet. The antichrist has not been revealed, we don't have one world government and no one is required to worship the beast in order to get the mark. Also, technically it isn't a mark. So how do you explain the entire world going crazy?

They know the only thing that can keep society sliding into anarchy and a barter system is if they impose this Covid19 vaccine. Covid stands for Certificate of Vaccine ID, 19 stands for the letters A. I. It is a computer system for keeping track of every person. With this they can impose a digital currency and prevent any bartering.

That's actually old news as the same was stated in so many words in the book of Revelation and other prophetic books and passages.

yes, I know about revelations and the christian persecution but to me, this news is one of the first evidence i see in America about censorship of Christians on social networks. It all points to the end times. This type or persecution will certainly escalate but I fail to see what excuse will be given to persecute Christians. Also, the mark of the beast is upon us i fear. It is almost ready as many countries are starting to implement digital ID. All that seem to be missing in my point of view is the third temple In Jerusalem but that also seem to be underway, the Jewish people have a plan, trained levites priests for the rites, have found and are breeding red heifer, and have prepared all the items for worship and have practiced the blood sacrifices...

Best,

JF

Death is ugly …it’s painful and causes much grief…I recently saw a bumper sticker that said “Death Sucks” ….and I agree. Jesus Christ used sleep is a metaphor for death…possibly to lessen the grief. It’s a great metaphor, because when we sleep we are not conscience of anything (although I could say that about a particular leader, even when he’s awake)…… But, the next moment of consciousness after sleep is when we wake up….In death…. our next moment of consciousness is the return of Christ.
You can draw parallels regarding the rapture from the gospel ….but the are only parallels ….there is nothing in the OT or gospels (which should be in the OT) regarding the Rapture. This was a mystery (secret) kept hidden in in God ….and nothing of it was revealed….. until Paul received it by revelation.

This verse reminds me of what Paul said in Philippians where he said that the things which happened to him worked out for salvation for our sakes. The rapture of the saints will be a tremendous help for any Christians who are left behind to believe. (emphasis mine)

I am a bit confused as to this statement.
I am assuming that you are referencing those who may convert after the rapture ….because there will be no Christians left behind…the one new man will be gone (Eph 2:15). There will be both Jews and gentiles once again. …. they can convert… but they cannot be born again…. that is only during the grace administration, which will have ended, and the GT (great tribulation period) will (technically) have begun.

Once that happens then the 70th week of Daniel will begin. And the prophecies that Jesus spoke of and those in the OT will begin to come to pass.

If this is true, than believers just rely on Jesus more. We still have it better than early Christians who were hunted down, tortured, imprisoned, executed, and fed to the lions.

This might be morbid, but the thought of being a martyr is exciting for me.

For to me, living means living for Christ, and dying is even better. Philippians 1:21

this news is one of the first evidence i see in America about censorship of Christians on social networks.
Christians have been being censored on social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter for quite some time, having their posts deleted, accounts frozen or shadow banned, and relevant content being continually blocked if it does not fit the platform’s narrative. When I tried to find out through a search engine how long this has been going on, I found an article from eleven years ago! Link

Then how do you explain Revelation 3:3? Why all the warnings by Jesus to watch if it doesn't really matter? Who are the foolish virgins who have lamps that are lit and yet are locked out of the wedding feast? Who is the Lord's servant that was given a talent but buried that gift and was cast into outer darkness? Who are the ones during the tribulation that have their heads chopped off because they refuse to take the mark of the beast?

They'll come for our weapons before they execute such a plan as that. Because they know they'll have to.

Not everyone believes pacifism is Godly. The Bible tells us God isn't passive toward those who declare themselves his enemies.
He employed his faithful to war against them. And they did so and were victorious in his name.

I think our enemies forget Christians are the majority in America.

I think our enemies believe we will turn the other cheek no matter what happens. Because we believe we will find our real home in Heaven come what may.

I think they may want to rethink that. Though there shall be some happy to be led to their slaughter.

As for me and mine, I'd rather we meet God on our own two feet. After having left a legacy of a fight for freedom from chains that would have us serve Satan on our knees.

thank you for your stand and faithfulness in Christ Jesus

Then how do you explain Revelation 3:3?

Since I do not know what you are asking about Sardis, I will give a broad answer.

Everything in Revelation is pertaining to the GT (Great Tribulation) period.

Why all the warnings by Jesus to watch if it doesn't really matter?

It does not matter to us….

Ours → (The Rapture) is not to watch for……… The tribulation time is for watching.

Rapture peeps get this↓

1 Thes 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:…boom!...were outta here baby!

No warning for the rapture → A shout from the Lord… Voice of the archangel ….and a Trump of God

When Jesus comes for the Church of grace …IT IS….. ANNOUNCED!

Quite the different scenario for the tribulation …. like a thief…… Thieves do not announce themselves they are stealth…

Verses regarding thief → Mat 24:42-44, 1Th 5:2, 2Pe 3:10, Rev 3:3 & 16:15.

As an aside: The latter part of 2 Thes 2:2 reads Christ in KJV ….most all other versions, including Greek MMS and Peshita from the Aramaic…. have the words The Lord….There is a difference The Lords day or Day of the Lord references the Tribulation. Our gathering together unto him, the day of redemption, our glorious hope, the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ….All give reference to the rapture.

2Th 2:2 … as that the day of Christ The Lord is at hand.

As for the warnings and prophecy that Jesus gave in the gospels….

They are all accurate and they will come to pass…….After we are gone.

The reason nothing in the gospels can be referring to the rapture is because (as I stated in my previous post) The grace administration (that we now live in) was a mystery (secret) I will call it the “sacred secret” to delineate it from other secrets (mysteries) in the Word.

This sacred secret was kept hidden in God …no one knew, except God… Jesus was not aware of this or He would have been lying…and He didn’t lie…He was sinless! …(side note: When I have made that statement previously …some tell me that it diminishes Jesus as God…My answer is NO! ….it diminishes what some believe of Jesus when He was here on earth….I am just quoting the Word.. People can conclude whatever they want …but this is what the Bible states.)

The following verses clearly show what Jesus knew.

Mat 16:28 Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom. (Also Mar 9:1, Luk 9:27)

Mat 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

At the time that Jesus spoke things regarding, and in context of the tribulation, He spoke them because according to OT scripture those events were to follow (i.e.) the 70th week….He didn’t lie ….the things He spoke were the truth…at the time. In hindsight we know that the administration of Grace was ushered in at Pentecost with the full realization of the sacred secret gradually being revealed.

The why of the sacred secret is revealed in 1Co 2:6-8

8.) Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

There are many things involved with the sacred secret…. but to be born again, to have the seed of God in Christ in us….. has to be a huge blow to the devil. Instead of having to contend with just Jesus Christ He now has to contend with millions of born again believers…who can walk with the power and authority of Jesus Christ. If the devil knew the implications of the sacred secret he wouldn’t have crucified Christ ….that is why God kept it a secret.... why there is no mention of it prior to the revelation Paul received.

God Bless and thank you for your stand and faithfulness in Christ Jesus.

Since I do not know what you are asking about Sardis, I will give a broad answer.

Everything in Revelation is pertaining to the GT (Great Tribulation) period.
This is Revelation 3:3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and didst hear; and keep it, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.

As you can see this verse is a warning to watch and if you don't watch the Lord will come as a thief. Based on the context they are warned to watch for the Lord's coming. Not only so but they are to remember the way they received the word in the past, how they did hear and keep it and repent. It is very clear from the Lord's word that they way they received the Lord's word in the past is not the way they are responding to the charge to watch and that is what they must repent of. This is a church, they are under this administration of grace you talk of and yet the Lord says that His coming will be as a thief if they don't watch! Yet you say this can't happen to believers? Your teaching is nullifying the Lord's warning. Given the choice I'll listen to the Lord.

Clearly this "coming as a thief" is referring to a different event than the one you refer to about the Lord descending with a shout. This warning is given specifically to a church, of course they are believers and of course it matters to us.
