Why do people say that president Obama and the Pope and other various famous people are the Antichrist, if Hillary Clinton or Donald Trumpet (sorry just had to do that) get to be President they would be accused of being Antichrist also. I just wondering i just don't understand it. Maybe it someone taking it too far or just scaring people.

The bible tells us the antichrist will be from the middle east. All the names of the antichrist reference the Syria, Turkey, Iraq region. "The king of Babylon", "the chief prince of Meshac and Tabul", "the Assyrian" and others I cant remember : p
The OT also talks about the nations that will gather against Israel, they are all middle eastern nations that surround Israel.
The antichrist is also a religious man, Daniel 11 tells us he honors a god of war, and goes off to glorify his god with gold and silver. Notice he honors a god, not gods. And a god who promotes war.

The idea that it focuses on a different part of the world feels impossible to them. But the bible is all about Israel, even with end time prophecy, it all relates to the middle east. Much of the prophecies in Revelations are from the OT (like mystery babylon). It all takes place and is centered in Israel, where our Lord will reign from on His return.

So true tanakh. Just as with every Biblical subject, the given criteria must be met. In the case of the antichrist, we have not seen anyone who has made a seven year covenant with Israel and who--3 1/2 years later--set up an abomination in the holy place within the temple, with the result being the woman/Israel fleeing out into the wilderness for that last 3 1/2 years with Christ returning at the end of it. Neither have we seen the antichrists ten-toed kingdom, nor his image or mark, nor his false prophet who performs the miracles, signs and wonders.
I remember reading Hal Lindsey's Late Great Planet Earth many years ago. He suggested that there would be a revised Roman Empire in Europe, what is now the EU. That would be the ten-toed kingdom headed up by a charismatic leader who would propose and implement a seven year peace agreement between Israel and it's Arab neighbors. Perhaps the Pope will play an important role as the false prophet. Regardless, It is my belief that Christians will be raptured at the beginning of this seven year countdown to Christ's return.

Honestly I don't see why the pope is taking so much heat as the antichrist where Islam is growing so much faster and will probably overtake christanity in less than 50 years . Islam is growing far more influential than Catholicism. Statistics are showing in that 50 years mosques will outnumber churches both catholic and Protestant combined, and that is in Europe . Followers of Islam are just primed for a charismatic leader . That is a more likely suspect for a antichrist in traditional Dispensational Premillennialism In my opinion.

The answer to that is, one of the future popes is not going to be the antichrist, but the false prophet. This can easily be deduced by comparing the second beast in Rev.13 with the false prophet mentioned in Rev.16. What links them together as being the same person is that, they are both said to be that one who performs the miracles, signs and wonders in order to deceive people. The "false prophet" is just another designation for that second beast.
Also, regarding Islam, they do not fit the criteria of being the false prophet and that because that designation refers to someone who is disobeying Christ while claiming to be his true follower. Islam is not proclaiming to be of Christ, but is just a pagan religious system, just as is Buddhism or Hinduism, just to name a few. Roman Catholicism on the other hand, fits the characteristics in Revelation to a tee. The RCC is proclaiming to be of Christ, but she is Mystery, Babylon the great! Most of her characteristics, her practices and rituals, stem from the mystery religions of Babylon, such as queen of heaven and mother and son worship. Out in the middle of St. Peter's square stands an 82 ft. Egyptian obelisk, which is pagan in origin and definitely not something that God would approve of.
Just a cursory look at the RCC and it becomes obvious that she is a counterfeit church. And when that antichrist is revealed, he is going to provide the power that she and her pope's once wielded against kings and their armies. She thinks that she is the true church and that everyone should come under the authority of the pope. And during those days, anyone who rejects the beast, his image or his mark will be enemies of both the beast and the false prophet with the consequences being persecution and death.

At the time that John was receiving that information, Rome was that great city that ruled over the kings of the earth.

It could be that folks like to link the Pope with the Antichrist because of the Catholic Church (of which the Pope is the head) took it upon themselves to add books to the Bible, venerate Mary and change the Sabbath.

I personally think that this Antichrist we speak of is not the Beast of Revelation, but perhaps a false Christ that may appear and fool people into thinking he is the second coming of the Lord.

Actually Islam dose proclaim that the follow Christ . It is a different Jesus though . One who is not God or the son of God . Their false Jesus was just a prophet. They also preach in the end times that Jesus will return and claim that Mohammad was a prophet of Allah they also teach that at this time another great prophet will arise.
Also if the concerning the seven hill is of Rome just look at what's happening in Rome now . Rome is home to the largest mosque in the western world. The Catholic Church is dwindling in the world and Islam is rising. My opinion a better fit for the dispensations premillennialism. Just a thought.
PS how's the weather on the other side of south mountain?

At the time that John was receiving that information, Rome was. Though Islam knows of Jesus, they are not a follower of Christ as their savior, where the RCC is, that is, she claims to be. I guarantee you that Islam is not Mystery Babylon.
