We know know that algae can form methane hydrates in the sea floor. The idea that these need to be cooked for millions of years is baseless. The sea floor is on a conveyor belt being subducted beneath huge volcanic island arcs and other zones where the oceanic crust sinks to the bottom of the earth's crust because it is denser than continental crust. Those methane hydrates are buried in the sediment at the bottom of the ocean and are put under intense pressure and temperature and it is thought that is how we get oil.

This is based on the fact that oil is percolating up from beneath the sedimentary layers that we previously thought were where oil formed.
it's not about just being cooked as you put it,

It's about the pressure of the earth above forcing it downwards over a long time

Why does it have to be a long time? The pressure at these subduction zones is very intense, strong enough to make metamorphic rocks like gneiss and schist. Gneiss forms at temperatures greater than 600 degrees C and pressures from 2 to 24 kbar, that is certainly enough to make oil.

The reason they say "millions of years" is because there is no evidence that it happens sooner than that in the sedimentary rock layers, therefore they just use this as a fudge factor.

Good question it's to do with the force of gravitational pull from both inner core and the moon and sun and other planets I would imagine

But worth a research I think 🤔

so if there's no reason to say it can't happen sooner what would be the most plausible theory 🤔

Is oil extracted at the very top layer of earths crust is a place to start

yes, but this Planet X system which will pass close by the Earth will be when you see mountains melt and rise. One major mistake geologists have made is to infer too much from "the present is the key to the past". They assume since plate tectonics is moving at 1-2 cm a year that it always has. When this brown dwarf star crosses our orbit we will have great earthquakes and you will see mountains do "millions of years of movement" in a very short time. This is what we are told by the prophets in the Bible.

When the Bible says that Israel is a land flowing with milk and honey, one theory is that the "honey from the rock" does not refer to honey from bees but the highest quality oil which comes from very deep within the earth. No one wanted this theory because it is an engineering feat to drill 20,000 feet deep and deeper. But once they do this Israel will have more oil than any other nation in the Middle East (that is a prophecy in the Psalms).

who started that theory lol.

Would you say when or if they drill that far one day it's a sign the earth is no longer flowing with milk and honey

there could be something about an extra force at play.

Do you know extinct animals like the sabertooth and wooly mammoth where found in a tar like substance buried under ground.

That tar is known to be an earth like oil substance that was pushed back up to service from under the earth in many regions , but by internal heat of the earth or external heat or both or by extra gravitation forces.

Oil was discovered in the middle east after Rockefeller read in the Bible that they had tar pits (pitch). The highest quality oil is called honey because it looks exactly the same. Honey comes from bees, "honey from the rock" is obviously a different kind of honey.

Once again we have to look at the possible new ice age coming 🙂

Our best hope

Gulf stream could collapse as early as 2025, study suggests
A collapse would bring catastrophic climate impacts but scientists disagree over the new analysis

The Gulf Stream system could collapse as soon as 2025, a new study suggests. The shutting down of the vital ocean currents, called the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (Amoc) by scientists, would bring catastrophic climate impacts.
Amoc was already known to be at its weakest in 1,600 years owing to global heating and researchers spotted warning signs of a tipping point in 2021.
The new analysis estimates a timescale for the collapse of between 2025 and 2095, with a central estimate of 2050, if global carbon emissions are not reduced. Evidence from past collapses indicate changes of temperature of 10C in a few decades, although these occurred during ice ages.

yes but in Canada isn't it mostly crude oil they extract now, not the good stuff

You know in Canada the third largest supplier of oil in the world its oil is mostly unconventional oil they extract from something called oil sands, it's extracted by pumping steam into the ground at top level , the oil is a mixture of all sorts of nasties that has to be cleansed.

Well should they be removing it because they can't get to the stuff underneath it, which means this oil must surely be going through a process

A couple of things bother me.

What is the result of reflecting the heat from the surface of windows and solar panels back into the atmosphere?

What happens to the natural wind patterns as we remove energy from the prevailing winds with all the generators being added there?

Wind turbines probably don't remove any more energy than a couple of trees do or a building does. They obviously do not affect the jet streams.

this may help the more green house gases there is in are our atmosphere the warmer it can get,
Because certain gases can absorb heat
possibly reflecting material could warm it further at present.

But the issue is once it gets to warm you then could get to much smoke which then could blocks the sun all together triggering an ice age.

Quick 3 min vid for you 🙂

Real studies have only just begun. We'll see what happens as the number of and size of wind turbines increase.

https://www.usgs.gov/news/national-news-release/wind-turbine-wakes-can-impact-downwind-vegetation
wind turbines is probably the best solution at present,

I'm in favour of banning all petrol and diesel cars as quick as possible.

And switching to renewable energy asap

I'm also in favour for bans on diesel and petrol cars at present where there is public green energy transport available.

I'm in favour of every single carbon emitting appliance being banned.

It may come sooner than you think.

It may even be if you have no public transport and you can't afford electric car then you'll have to get a pedal bike 🙂

What is niggling me is why do they have mine such crappy oil in Canada when there's a so called abundance replenishing oil in the world,

The oil in canada only achieves a small profit to mine too compared to other oil mined.

It's time for clampdown on coal asap. But will India and China switch.

No because the world is crooked and selfish and world order is a joke,

There's a good new car coming one day but will we make it

The flying car has got the full license well its actual a giant drone all electric 🙂

The mass production model will only be 30.000 dollar in 2030 with the ability for clean hydrogen gas to go further, the gas is lighter, it also has a long-distance land range.

The only "solution" is Fusion, though Fission is not an unreasonable short term solution.
