ok so continuing to beat the dead horse of how completely without merit this 'yinon plan' conspiracy theory is...i decided to get creative and come up with some -other- conspiracy theories based on the same information...

#1...the 'greater israel' borders resemble those of the ancient assyrian empire...therefore i conclude that the ethnic assyrians today are secretly in control of israel...and secretly attempting to reestablish their ancient empire through israel... furthermore the assyrians are predominantly christian...members of a nestorian sect called the assyrian church of the east which was condemned as heretical in the fifth century...therefore it is likely that this will lay the groundwork for the rise of the antichrist...

#2...the rise of ISIS and related groups has provoked iran to send its troops to syria and iraq...iran also has proxies in lebanon in the form of hezbollah and in the gaza strip in the form of hamas and jihad islami...finally the former muslim brotherhood regime of egypt had been mending ties with iran... therefore the rise of ISIS has actually been orchestrated by iran in an effort to establish its 'shiite crescent' as a revival of the sassanid persian empire...

#3...take conspiracy theory #2 a step further...iran will actually be conquering the territory of 'greater israel'...since iran will do the hard work of consolidating this territory...perhaps iran is actually -working for israel- and all that stuff about 'wiping israel off the map' was just misdirection...

#4...'greater israel' resembles the map of the neo babylonian empire...therefore i conclude that the past several israeli prime ministers have actually been -possessed by the ghost of nebuchadnezzar- and he is using them to reestablish his ancient empire for him to rule over...

#5...combine 'greater israel' and the european union plus turkey which has been wanting to join the EU for decades...along with north africa where there has been a lot of destabilization and regime change lately too...and you get -the revived roman empire- and therefore hal lindsey and jack van impe were right all along!

#6...the 'yinon plan' only the other way around...israel is allied with ISIS and ISIS will soon annex israel into its islamic caliphate without a fight...

#7...space aliens...enough said...

#8...no one expects the spanish inquisition...

here is the point of all of this silliness...the fact is that the 'yinon plan' does not have unique explanatory power to account for these several coincidences...once you suspend disbelief and stop insisting on reasonable plausibility as you do when you buy into the 'yinon plan' and 'greater israel' conspiracy theories...there are -lots- of fantasies that can explain everything...not just your conspiracy theory of choice...

or to put it more proverbially...evidence that can 'prove' anything is 'evidence' that proves nothing...

I see all of these conspiracy theories, and usually write them off. But they do stay tucked away in the back of my mind. One of these theories is the Yinon Plan. Supposedly Israel has plans to destabilize the region then greatly expand their borders.

Below is a map of the supposed Yinon Plan borders.

I compared the borders to the region of land ISIS controls, and the borders seem to roughly fit.

So let's just say there is something to this theory.

Could ISIS be used as justification for a major invasion by Israel in the future?
ISIS is threatening Jordan now, and Israel IS supposedly threatening to intervene if this happens.
Israel to Intervene If ISIS Threatens Jordan Stability? | HonestReporting

Let's say ISIS gains control of Jordan, and then controls Syria too.
Then let's say ISIS uses that as a launching pad to attack Israel.
In return Israel could order a major invasion of the ISIS controlled land.
If successful, Israel's occupied land would match the Yinon Plan borders fairly well.

Keep in mind Israel is also currently being attacked from Gaza, and sometimes even from Lebanon.
This could also further spur Israel invasion of these territories, further creating occupied land that fits the Yinon Plan.
Israel Mobilizes 20,000 Troops for Possible Gaza Invasion - Bloomberg

I'm not too familiar with the motivations behind this theory. The motivations may be anti-semitic.

Regardless it is interesting that ISIS is severely destabilizing the region, and the land they now control fits some of the Yinon Plan's borders. If they pose a threat to Israel, Israel would be VERY justified in mounting a land invasion to control that land.

I'm cautious of linking to sites which further explain this theory. Those sites may be anti-semitic. Some of the sites speak of NATO plans to destabilize the region, and divide the Middle East. I don't know how much of this is meant to foment anti-Jew hysteria.
The world has always been anti-semitic. Whatever 'plan' man has for Israel we must heed God's warning.

From the biblical declarations of God's love and care for His chosen people, the nation of Israel, and from the history of nations being destroyed because of their evil dealings with God's chosen people, the Jews, Christian believers should give support to the chosen people of God. This is not to say that we support necessarily the methods they use in their relationships with the Arab nations. The Bible warned that conflict would always characterize the relations between the descendants of Isaac and Ishmael. Sadly, this conflict will continue until Jesus comes back to judge the nations and sets up His 1,000-year reign of peace on earth. We must look at the "big picture” with a biblical worldview. While we do not have to support everything Israel does as a nation, we most definitely should support Israel’s right to exist. God will fulfill His promises and covenants with Israel. God still has a plan for Israel. Woe to anyone who seeks to defeat that plan; “whoever curses you I will curse” (Genesis 12:3).

With all that's going on in Israel today we should remember:

"Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem." Zechariah 12:2.

Conspiracy theorizing is partially creative writing, so here is some creative writing.
Maybe this has nothing to do with meddling of Israel. Maybe NATO needs justification for a land invasion. This could reflect the meddling of NATO to destabilize the region in hopes of justifying an invasion on humanitarian grounds and maybe security grounds.

If occupied, the land would generally mirror a revived Babylonian Empire. Maybe that is where Pope Francis steps in and offers to broker a regional peace of sorts?
Hamas will never sit down and talk 'peace of sorts'. They can't allow any peace talks.

•The founding document for Hamas is the Hamas Covenant, which denies the existence of Israel and calls for the destruction of the Jewish state. In addition, it demands the killing of Jews. (The founding document of Fatah, the PLO, and Hezbollah also declare that their mission is the violent destruction of Israel.)

•The covenant declares that no Arab country, Palestinian leader, or any organization can negotiate with Israel. It further asserts that any peace initiative contradicts the principles of the covenant, and the only solution is jihad.
