Cutscenes have ironically ruined story-telling and gameplay. They were cool when they were rare and you had to work for them.
But now so many games are movies with small play periods and the silent protagonist is GONE. So you don't get to interact with the characters as easily and the writing has taken a nose dive from believable to movie sophomoric.

Not to mention that certain of the games have "different save features" sometimes making them "dull" and "frustrating" wanting to hurry up and save at certain points but sometimes having to wait through hours of cut scenes or dialogue to finally save,at that point a person can lose interest and focus on real life.
