dear Brother,
hub and I totally understand the feeling of being totally alone and separate, and persecuted -
even though we have not resisted unto blood,
HEB. 12:4.
You have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.
even so, the 'walk with God' is demanding and very draining at certain times...
HEB. 11:37.
They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword:
they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented;
in other words, there is 'nothing' that the 'enemy' will not use 'against us',
it's just that at some point in our life for Christ that 'suffering' is inevitable!,
but as Paul says;
'I have learned to be content, whether I abound or whether I am abased'...
and,
as Christ says,
'To whom much is given, much is required' -

the evil inclination 'wrestles' with our good inclinations' -
it is a 'raging BATTLE', where the 'evil inclination is nurtured and persuaded
that he is the righteous man of God, for he is rewarded according to 'the flesh' -
BUT the 'Spiritual man' understands that the suffering is the 'refining' so that he may be
acceptable to 'enter into the Temple of The Lord'...

I usually run between a 3 and a 4 under the older pain standard but still tolerable. It's not so bad if you think about it.
Honestly, I've been numb for decades. Not sure if that's good or bad ;)

I know suffering is inevitable, I've got a list of 40 plus verses that say we're going to suffer hard if we stand for God. The question is in the percentages, and means by which they are delivered. And the results.

To whom much is given, much is required... that assumes to whom is allowed to give back, right? Jesus tells us to give of our time and money to the less fortunate, but what if the less fortunate don't want it? What if, in your attempt to do what God tells us to do with what God gives us to do it with, you're stymied stonewalled and rendered irrelevant every time? Ok, 999 times out of every 1000 times. God has given me a LOT - yet every time I try to pass it on to those more needy they tell me to take a hike.

That's what I don't get. Apparently I'm on this earth to do only one thing, and all the other 999 parts of the Great Commission don't apply.

Yeah I'd still like to see scripture on that.

Having giving this considerable thought it is probably a good thing as numbness dulls the pain. There are times that life is so hard that it is better to be unconscious in peaceful slumber. I feel like sleeping in, the world can spin without me.

Well, that goes along with someting I was told many years ago... you can tell how powerful one might be in the kingdom of God by how hard hell works to hold them under. And I can't say that God hasn't shown me some literal 'mountain into the sea' miracles. But I've also come to see that is the exception and not the norm... for every time God steps up and intercedes, there's 1,000 times He sits back and lets poop happen. And I'm not ok with accepting those numbers. God demands 10 out of 100, why should I accept anything less? And that is one of the problems ... I don't accept that ratio. Not one bit. Yet I seem powerless to sway Him to do more.

But again, I may have found the answer. When these things hit, rather than wallow in them alone, I turn them towards Michael in prayer. We will see what comes of that.

Still doesn't answer all the questions tho.

And I appreciate you and Tourist joining in here. Too bad the rest of CC thinks I'm expendable. But then that's the way society at large looks at me, so why would I expect different here?

Maybe because we're supposed to be DIFFERENT HERE.
you turn to Michael? Is that the Michael Dalton from number 9? Or is it the auto mechanic at Toyota? I always get the two confused. I did hear one isn't very reliable in passing that prayer onto God that's all.

Another thing that distresses me. People who can't be bothered to read and understand before responding. I can't tell you the level of idiocy that response evidences. RTFT before you respond.

No, I'm not sick but often have aches and pains and occasional depression. God bless you for your concern. I sincerely appreciate it.

Glad you're not sick. Aches and pain, ups and downs I guess all part of the territory right? Hang in there, you're the best comic relief on CC! Thanks and God bless you too.

yes, Brother Ricky,
it is definitely 99.9% of those who won't be affected by the Love that we desire to share
with them that Christ has bestowed upon us, for the 'carnal-mind' is enmity against God,
for it is not subject to the Law of God, neither indeed can be.'
in other words, we will always hit a lot of brick-walls, because only a very few are ready
to receive the Ministry - we really have to have an extreme closeness to God to be able
to discern when, where, how, to cast-out our Spiritual Seeds...

'A word fitly spoken is like apples of Gold in pitchers of Silver.'

I want to thank those of you who came here and offered support. I know there was a lot of angst here, but it seems that with your help I have found the direction I need to go in. And it seems to be working!

OK, today is a perfect example.

Tried to get a receipt from a retailer. Their computer crashed instead.

Tried to make a change with our cable provider. Their computer crashed instead.

Tried to log into a banking app. Their computer crashed instead.

If I had a dollar for every time I've heard a computer expert say "that's not possible" I would be a rich man.

Again, every effort stymied, stonewalled, and rendered irrelevant. One occurrence, it's to be expected now and then. Two occurrences back to back, a funny coincidence. Three or more occurrences one after another ... now somebody's (satan? God?) screwing with me. AGAIN.

I watch 100 people get into a situation, take a course of action, and get a certain result. I get in that situation. I take that course of action, and what comes out of it can only be described as pure insanity.

Some say it's a Job trial. Well it's been going on for 62 years and I'm sick and tired of it.

This is not whining. This is a presentation of the facts of being born under an unlucky star, and of the line of John the Baptist.

Any suggestions?

Now, can/will God do something about this? Or is this another case of Peter's thorn?

2 Corinthians 12:7-9 "Pauls thorn not Peter's",,,lol

I thought I was the only one, my phone doesn't even recognize itself.
I call it, "My life is twice as hard". I see you found the key to ease your stresses in life are small prayers to our Lord.
May God bless you and be a lamp into your feet, your buckler, and place you on a rock far above your problems, my brother in Christ.
