Catholics are pointed towards the vatican, and they idolize other idols over Jesus. Jesus is nr 3 on their list of prayers. That is fine by me, if God was one of them, but he is not, it is Mary and some other saint. That is idolitary. If they make Jesus out to the be end of it all, as many do. If it is so, people should pray directly, not use conduits. Not go through his girlfriend, or friends. This is all wrong for me because Jesus points to God, so prayers should be directed at God. By judging the head of catholics, you judge catholics, since they worship that church and follow that pope. Rightful judgement I feel. The popes have been bad throughout my life.
Yes, people should probably get baptized as adults. I looked into that, it was not easy at the times we have, covid, and now it is winter, probably not a good idea to do it now. And I do not think it is right to do it in a church I disregard. So I have decided to stay unbaptized. But encourage others to do it. Not a must I think, but a nice thing to do.
I fulfill the first two commandments of Jesus, that is good news. Did not know them before you pointed them out. Of course I obey the commandments, which I take as the 10 commandments, not what you speak of. Not reading them again now, but I think I am inside them, not required yet, this is required after I pray for the first time. Not that I will break them before that, but if I ever were to use his name in vain, or covet what is not mine, it would not send me to bleep until I pray. So I read before praying, getting more informed, being genuine about it. You are stuck in the Jesusthing, ignoring that he points to God. John the baptist is speaking of the 10 commandments. If you love, you obey the commandments first. So no praying till you learn. For me. You do it your way, if we disagree, that is fine. I got my new bible today and will learn much faster now, and another book about the cermons on the mound, and what we as modern christians lost from Jesus teachings. Sneak preview tomorrow, but am saving it for december. Lose your Jesus focus, and see where he pointed, or do a deepdive into his work. Do not do idolotary on even him, when he points to God. He is God, and points to himself as God. Just contemplate his teachings, follow the work, and be light about it, God/Jesus never wanted us to get mired in in a pit over scripture, that is not the message. Was meant to be a joy for us, a fun thing that we sought out because we wanted, not because we had to. Jesus did not command you to do anything, he just encouraged you, if it ends with Jesus for you. Hope it makes sense to you, and is uplifting.
