Jesus also taught one was not to look back when he decided to follow Him. He also said not to call any man your father for you have but one Father in Heaven. Many make the mistake of thinking what Jesus said to the discilples and would be disciples was said to them. Many do not know they are sheep and others shepherds. Jesus raises men up incorruptible. One attached to family may be extorted by threats to them. Those who have given the poor all they had do not fear financial loss and cannot be threatened by it. What you need to know is 'hate' on a higher level is best defined as 'withhold virtue from'. It is not proper to reward evil with good. All are evil. If you cannot see it in your own family members then you are not disciple material. How many preachers declare they are children or sons of the Kingdom? Matthew 8 reveals Jesus sayiong, "The children of the Kingdom shall be cast into outer darkness and there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth". In another locale it is written 'If one does not work he should not be fed'. These two statements are false. They are stumbilng blocks placed by the Evil One (weeds in a parable Jesus told). Those who stumble on them are those who are selfishly motivated. There is no unselfish reason to believe one of these statements to be true. Those who believe them become the very weeds they are. Your familial love is selfish for it always contains rewrd for you. The hated (virtue witheld from) poor believe the children of the kingdom go to hell and the well to do (who lock church doors) believe those who do not work should not be fed. Your hearts despise one another. Those who supplanted Jesus and stole the Vineyard (another parable) must they themselves be supplanted to reap as they sowed. I am James (defintion:supplanter) as in James, brother of Jesus if some fearful soul has concerns.
