Would you even recognize your obsession with conspiracy theories as unhealthy? First, you'd have to look at it from a different point of view. What is the upside to going online and telling people you believe FDR was murdered? What do you gain vs. what do you risk losing. I feel you gain nothing. Instead, you mark yourself as a person who spends their time on conspiracy web sites and is likely swallowing each and every one of them. I've posted articles from physicians who state how unhealthy that sort of obsession is and that it normally afflicts people who 's lives are coming unraveled, and find comfort in the false narrative that the government is entirely evil and they are to blame for all their personal problems and failed relationships. If you find yourself spending hours online viewing sites that tell you the government is evil and that 9/11 was an inside job or that FDR was murdered, when you need to be outside getting fresh air or going to church or spending time with family, then you probably have a problem.
Many of the conspiracy folks that come here have made the rounds and have been kicked out of numerous other online chat sites. They don't seem to be able to turn off their obsession and simply copy and paste countless made up stories they read on conspiracy sites. Like them, you are almost oblivious to what you are doing with your time and how others are judging your mental stability. It's hard to help people who don't feel there is anything wrong with their behavior. The best advice is to not come to this particular forum and post conspiracy theories. It's a red flag that identifies you as someone headed down the wrong path.
