There's a modern way to personally no that the world is round though it cost some money to do this but if one takes a Plane climbs to 50,000 feet and fly 360 degrees in all directions one at a time look out the window at the horizon it should be in a simi circle you can see the curvature of the earth (that's what I saw from inside a plane has anybody else flown? And saw this)now keep flying in a straight line until your back at your original point were you start back home in general fly around the earth if you don't come back to were you started from then It may not be round but if the curvature of the earth never changes from a simi circle for the whole journey then the world is round a sphere. And also the miles should be the same in any direction.

Nay I flunked them not. Nevertheless, the school systems teach many lies from darwinism to old earth mythology. Therefore it is no surprise if they teach their lies about the shape of the earth, even using the lies they teach such as this to try to discredit the Bible. Sorry, but I'll trust the Bible before I trust liars like NASA and the failing public education system.

The windows of the plane distort the shape, simple as that. It is the same with them using the fish eye lenses on cameras because of air pressure at certain heights. With the naked eye though one can go up great heights to extend the horizon line and it remains straight. Furthermore the fact the horizon line is always eye level no matter what height you go is also proof the earth is a disk, not a sphere.

Though the planes make an interesting proof for the disk earth. Take flight plans on the spherical earth map and notice how they are not in a straight line. Apply the same flight paths to the real map of the earth, which is the disk map, and you will find they are curiously direct routes.

EDIT: Even to add in fact to the point of planes, if the earth were a sphere the planes would have to continually be flying downwards to keep from going to high into the atmosphere, it would not be possible for a plane to continue flying level or straightly on a spherical earth.

If you are believing your textbooks, and claiming what's in them as fact, without yourself having proven what's written, then your textbooks are teaching a religion.
Science takes an enormous amount of faith. So much has been disproven(d?) And we're the ones living in the stone age?

the flight paths are curved because of euclidian geometry its actually shorter to take thet routes they do take versus flying in a straight line. To be fair I honestly did not believe flat-earthers still existed. But I guess some people are just beyond help.

Well it doesn't mention there being frigid temperatures and very little breathable air like actual conditions are on Mt. Everest...the tallest mountain.

Lol, and yet planes do not fly constantly downward, but they fly straightly elsewise they cannot gain lift to stay in the air, thereby proving the earth is a disk.

For me the sun I see the moon I see, the planet Mars I can see from my telescope are all round No man has made these, no man has his hand in making these objects, in my eyes they are truly from God 100% without a debate God made these objects in the heavens. I personally will never doubt that the earth I stand on is also round. Because for me that would be insulting his creation that everything I see in the heavens are round except earth in My opinion. Believe what you may I'll stand by the Father on this til my last breath for I can see these with my own eyes I don't need a book to convince me of other wise. Maybe some should stick to bible says about the earth being a disk for their eyes are blinded from truth of what they see.

Lol, a disk is still round. So indeed you will not find me say the earth is not round, for indeed it is round, but it merely is not a sphere. Saying the earth is flat is of course somewhat a misnomer as well, for it hath topography.

For sooth, I can see with mine eyes that the earth is a disk. Many point to the verse that says the sky is spread out like a tent as proof in the Bible of this. Others point to the fact the Bible says bluntly that the earth is a circle. Indeed it is a good proof from the Bible, and for sooth the Creator knoweth for he created it and stretched the heavens and even declared it to man. For myself the best biblical proof is that it is written in the Bible the earth does not spin. Knowing that the earth does not spin therefore the only shape possible is a fixed disk around which the sun, the moon, and the stars travel in their courses.
