No Obama did not have a policy of separating families or putting kids in cages, Trump did. Your facts have been fed to you by billionaire right wingers and they could not be further from reality. It is not a lie Trump is actively trying to cut food stamps right now, look it up. I do not need ot look to any other country for socialism, What I call socialism exists right here in the USA and we need more of it. Public roads, public utilities, government subsidies, government grants, medicare, medicaid, food stamps are all examples of socialism and that is a fact. So we already have socialism and I believe more of it is what we need.
No, you're wrong. The cages were put there by Obama/Biden. Even the MSM had to admit it. Where were you? Obama was called the "Deporter in Chief". ACLU wrote letters to him about conditions at the border. Look it up and you'll find it to be true. And no, we don't need more socialism! Go live in a socialist country if that's what you're wanting. The founding fathers didn't intend it for this country. I lived under "free" healthcare. It killed more than one of my family members. And had my mother lived there, this year I would have lost her too. So before you run your mouth about socialism, go live under it for a decade, then come back and tell us how it's workin' for ya. smh

You actively try to find the

Why do you actively try to find the worst example of BLM and ignore the good. I could play that game too. Think of all the horribly racist Trump supporters out there. What is your point? Most KKK members support Trump therefore all republicans are KKK. That is the logic you are using. The fact is the vast vast vast majority of BLM suporters do not fall in line with this person's philosophy.

There is no good in BLM, they are Marxist. They are out for themselves. Last night they were out looting a Dollar General. Do you know what that does for the local people that live, work and shop there?!!! After a pandemic, none the less. They don't care about anything but themselves. They are anti-Semitic, one of their leaders went on a rant the other day, not that the radical MSM would show it. And blacks are waking up to this, thankfully, and are taking back their neighborhoods. They are out with bullhorns saying they don't hold with BLM and want them out of their city. And if that happens in my town I will be out the door and right behind them. We don't want socialist/communism in this country. Period!! Go take it somewhere else.

Yeah so what is your point? No one is advocating for that form of socialism. The only thing being adovocated on the American left is universal healthcare, free higher education, more social welfare. Things that are present in nearly every other developed country of the world. So it is better to compare what the American left is advocated for in the form of socialism with countries like Canada, the UK, Norway, New Zealand etc. To compare these countries to Marxist countries is misinformation.

As I said, go live there and tell us how wonderful it is. I HAVE lived there, was born there, and I can tell you it's not what you think it is. Trust me.

I have read quite a few articles about the government and what is the best sort. For several years now the consensus has been the best government is self-government. If people will take responsibility for themselves, the country benefits enormously. People that branch out and start a business are taking responsibility for themselves and at the same time are often providing jobs for other people.

Most big companies started as small companies and grew over time because they were good at what they did. One of the richest men in Australia started his business in 1939 with one truck. Then he had two. Then he had three. Now he has some two and a half thousand in more than one country. He is a billionaire and one of the nicest men you could wish to meet.

Are you going to decry his riches because he was good at what he did and made a success of his business? His success was the result of capitalism, not socialism. He had a service to offer and people wanted it. What is wrong with that? Socialism won't allow you to succeed like that. All it will do is take away from you the outcome of your efforts and give it to those who cannot be bothered to work.

Did you know that Marxism, Communism, and the like is another word for socialism? The people at the top make all the decisions and you have to toe the line because they think they know better than you do. Russin communism/socialism however was a complete and utter failure. If I get the same wages for working hard or for not working hard, what am I going to do? Russians made it clear. They were not going to work hard. And what happened? The economy collapsed.

If my income depends on how hard I work as the case is under capitalism, what am I going to do? It is obvious. I work hard. I had my own business in the UK and some days I worked from 8am to midnight because the business was there to be had. I didn't say "It's 5 oçlock so I am going home." My customers were open so I was open. Some days I emptied my truck of everything I had in it and I went back to the warehouse and loaded up again and went out into the night to do more business.

The worst that can happen is when you rely on the government to keep you. You develop a mentality that the government is responsible for all my needs so why do I need to work. There are families with three generations that are or have been on the dole. It is built into their way of living and thinking so they become incapable of getting a job. They spend all their time drinking, smoking, gambling, and sleeping.

If that is what socialism produces then it is a complete failure because the scripture is clear that God expects you to work and provide for yourself and your family.

“They used to say I built the cages. They had a picture in a certain newspaper... of these horrible cages. They used to say: ‘Look at these cages, President Trump built them,’” he said, adding: “Then it was determined they were built in 2014 – that was him,” pointing at Biden across the stage.

Back in June 2019, Barack Obama’s former ICE chief, Thomas Homan, acknowledged at a conference hosted by the Center for Immigration Studies that the “cages” Democrats blamed on Trump were the product of the Obama administration. “I’ve been to that facility, where they talk about cages. That facility was built under President Obama under (Homeland Security) Secretary Jeh Johnson. I was there because I was there when it was built,” Homan said.

“They did it. We changed the policy and they built the cages. We did not build the cages.” Did the Obama administration build the cages?
The Obama administration did build the cages Trump alluded to. The facility Trump mentioned was built with chain-link fencing by the Obama administration in 2014 in a warehouse in Nogales, Ariz. The makeshift shelter was built in response to an exodus of unaccompanied immigrant children from Central America. But those children did not arrive with their parents; they were unaccompanied. The shelter was not being used as part of a child separation policy, and U.S. border agents did not separate those children from their parents.

These are all statements from FactCheck.

When it comes to comparisons America is definitely a democracy. In Africa they have various Democratic Republics that are no more democratic than North Korea is. In fact, when you see a country named a Democratic Republic you know that it is not Democratic.
Americans believe themselves to be exceptional - falsely so. As a rule we are individually intelligent but as a group we are dumb as rocks. Even the definition of our type of government is misunderstood by the whole.

America is NOT a democracy according to the strictest definition of the word. Recite the pledge of allegiance. Those who utter the pledge are making a vow to support the government, NOT the nation. Sing it again, Sam. What sort of government do we have? Legally and theoretically, it's a republic. In actual fact, it's something else entirely.

Under dictatorship, people are enslaved but they know it. Here, the politicians constantly lie to people and they become immune to these lies because they have the privilege of voting. But voting is rigged and democracy here is a gigantic profusion of lies and clever brainwashing.” - Allen Dulles, former director of CIA

President Franklin D. Roosevelt defined our actual system as Corporatism. Benito Mussolini used a different word when he defined the politics of some modern industrial nations as fascism. In both definitions, the private sector of large corporations, the military and the financial cartel establish policy. The people are deluded into thinking their votes matter.

POTUS is a middle management position. It doesn't matter who sits at the Resolute Desk. Congress and the President are subservient to the ruling powers - that which has been called by some The Deep State (Mike Lofgren, C. Wright Mills, Greg Palast, Brigadier General Smedley D. Butler, etc.) This isn't some obtuse imaginary hallucination. America really IS a fascist state, but one significantly different from those that arose in twentieth century Europe (Spain, Italy, etc.) America has no single directing influence, or dictator, as was the case in Europe. Instead we have a sort of triune ruling class that decides major policy. Proof of this is that American policy hasn't generally changed in the last seventy years despite the change of administrations from democrat to republican.

The American problem is further complicated by the decline in spiritual leadership in the last half of the twentieth century. Following the last great national revival (circa 1967 - 1977), denominational churches rejected divine inspiration in favor of their own power structure. Evangelistic leaders used the new technology of satellite TV programming to sell conservative political soap to gullible religious folk who were too lazy to study scriptures for themselves. ( * ) Conservative political leaders also took advantage of this cyclopian point of view and gathered votes from them.

When a nation wraps its flag around the cross it inevitably wanders into error and SIN.
"When fascism comes to America, it will come wrapped in the flag and waving a cross." - Sinclair Lewis 1935

It is time for Americans to REPENT of their SIN and wickedness. Divine judgment is upon the nation and cannot be reversed, BUT it is possible for individuals to get right with God and obtain mercy for themselves and their families.

By whatever definition you choose to assign the government of this nation, it is lost. One can bury one's head in the sand (or some dark part of the anatomy) but the truth cannot be avoided - only denied or hidden.

that's me, hollering from the choir loft...
(*) Jimmy Baker, a popular TV evangelist was imprisoned for perpetrating real estate fraud on gullible viewers. He later stated that he'd never read the Bible from cover to cover until he was in prison. This is a classic case of a wolf in sheep's clothing leading the ignorant flock. (Mr. Baker is back on the air, btw.....still pushing his rubbish to millions.)

It is high time for America to repent I agree. I would say America is a partial democracy but that elements are constantly undermining it and no we have never had a full on democracy. The fact that our vote matters can be demonstrated by the fact that elite groups pour millions upon millions to try to influence and/or prevent various groups from voting.

America is presently a fascist state. By this I mean to employ the classic definition of the word rather than the one practiced by Germany.

The traditional definition of a fascist state is more accurately termed corporatism. The political situation in a corporatist/fascist state is such that government is influenced MORE by private corporate interests than voters who actually contribute nothing to the electoral process except scratches on ballots. In America, when banks or big corporations need a bailout they get it immediately. When private citizens need unemployment assistance or universal healthcare debate rages for long periods of time. With regard to healthcare, nothing has been done of substance BECAUSE the insurance lobby and the AMA block it. It has little to do with conservative values vs. the liberal agenda.

The "elite groups" who pour millions into the election process are the same corporations that suck money and special favors from the government in the form of contracts. Defense contractors are foremost, which is why America suffers endless war. It's profitable for business, but not for taxpayers or those innocents who suffer from injury and death as they believe they are being patriotic in uniform (including yours truly). Nothing could be further from the truth.

All of the above is the political and economic mechanism that now rules our land - not God.

When God is holy in the land, meaning HE is held apart and aloft in hearts and minds and deeds, the whole attitude of a nation changes. Honesty peace and unity are the result. Such is not the case in America, a nation which has turned its back upon God.

Repentance is needed to reverse current trends of division, violence, corruption, disrespect of individual rights and our constant slide into mediocrity and poverty.

It might also save a few souls.

"The little bit of freedom...gone after 9/11" you mention can be pegged to a specific date and act.

On October 26, 2001, a bit more than a month after the attacks of September, the US congress de-ratified the first ten amendments of the constitution known as the Bill of Rights. Justification for the legislation was presented to the American people, as similar acts since then, in the form of security measures. We have traded our rights for faux-safety. Without going into a lengthy description of how each amendment was aborted by means of legislation and legal precedent, it's important for us to identify an unusual link to the SAME circumstance that happened in Germany in the 1930's.

In February 1933 a fire destroyed the German Reichstag parliament building. Barely a month later the Enabling Act was passed. This legislation allowed the German Chancellor (Hitler) and his cabinet to enact laws without an approval vote of the elected members of the Reichstag.

Since the adoption of the Patriot Act as well as subsequent acts of congress, an alarming number of presidential edicts or orders have been issued from the White House. Each of these orders carries the weight of law, but without approval or vote of congress. In effect, POTUS has become a limited dictatorship.

According to the Bible, there are only three types of persons anointed by God to hold public office. One is prophet another is priest/judge and the third is king. Jesus is anointed (English for the Hebrew word messiah or ha-mashiach) all three. When Jesus is not king in the hearts and minds of people, society devolves into madness violence corruption and disintegration. The Bible gives specific historic examples of this happening in ancient Israel. Human history since those days has repeated this principle. People never learn from their mistakes. Jesus MUST be king, else the nation circles the drain of history.

It is time to repent - nationally.

Not sure why some christians support a republic, possibly just being rebellious against Church of England, it goes waaaaay back.

whoever subsequently runs for republican ticket automatically gets support, even if they are frankly, an idiot.

This was not always true.

One may assume the modern evangelical era began with the advent of satellite TV and televised preaching by hucksters like Jim Baker, who spent a few years in prison for real estate fraud. (1)

In those days, the gospel became cheap soap to be dispensed to gullible viewers hypnotized by the boob tube. When Pat Robertson, the richest evangelist to this day, ran for president the terms 'religious right' and 'moral majority' were coined to support his run for office in 1988. He failed, thank God, but the term stuck. The blow-back, however, was that those who identified with conservative evangelical fundamentalist values clung to the Republican party - even though they supported liars like Ronald Reagan (2) and false prophets like Robertson (3).

But it wasn't always true that conservative Christians supported Republicans.

During the Vietnam conflict many Christians backed the anti-war movement. In those days we were accused of siding with liberals against the war (despite the fact a Democratic liberal government promoted the war). Politics can be a very fickle thing and Christians risk losing credibility when they identify with extremist views such as support of a war mongering government, aberrant life styles, and mass murder of innocents to name a few issues.

It should be remembered the Holy Spirit NEVER vindicates a nation or a political party. It ALWAYS vindicates the Kingdom of God.

Finally, it should be remembered that one of the slogans adopted by the Germans during the rise of the Nazi party to power was, "make Germany great again". Sound familiar? It should. Fanatic slogans, be they political or religious, should never be adopted by those who place 100% of their allegiance upon Christ Jesus.

that's me, hollering from the choir loft...
(1) Baker later admitted the first time he read the Bible from cover to cover was when he was in prison.
(2) Reagan lied to congress regarding his testimony of duplicity in the Iran-Contra affair.

(3) The Bible says a prophet of God is correct 100% of the time. Robertson wrongly stated God told him Trump would win reelection.

Really, really tired of people trying to make this false comparison. Surely you're not trying to tie these two campaigns together, or comparing them in any way. Many countries, even our own have used "make _____ great again" In fact, because Trump is a fan of Regan he most likely took his cue from him...

The use of political slogans to advance one group over another is common, as you correctly point out.

The underlying power structure, however, is not.

America today is a faux-fascist state. More correctly identified as corporatism rather than the 1930's German version of fascism, it nonetheless values and responds to corporate interests rather than those of private citizens. From the moment a person is elected to Federal office they must begin work on building a reelection fund. Those that contribute money are those that glean favors. Those that only vote get very very little. This is a fact of life throughout the world and especially in America.

You take exception to American adoption of Nazi political slogans? Consider another one, "God bless America". I have in my library a photo of Adolf Hitler in front of a Lutheran cathedral used in a campaign poster. On the bottom of the poster are written the words, "Gott mitt uns". Roughly translated it means, "God is with us". Sound familiar? God wasn't with the Nazis and God certainly isn't with America despite our misuse of His name for slogans.

Reagan was a consummate liar. During Iran-Contra, when the CIA acquired international funding and supreme power to conduct its own affairs apart and above US law, Reagan LIED to a congressional investigation committee about his knowledge of illegal CIA activity.

I don't doubt Trump used Reagan as a pattern for his presidency because Trump has been caught lying many times as well. Don't get me wrong. All politicians lie. Some are just better at it than others. Joe Biden is more consistent with his lies than Trump. Biden's inner circle generally support Joe - as opposed to Trumps administration all of whom had their own separate agenda of whom many were caught in their own separate web of lies.

The comparison is certainly not false. Many parallels can be made of which I have only posted a few. Shall I go on with this? I can provide a legion of examples of parallel comparisons between Germany and post 911 America. Moderators here won't allow it of course because of the length of them.

Honestly I'm a little on the young side to remember Regan, and I wasn't living in America when he was in office. I believe Hitler used whatever he could to gain support at first, then snuffed out anyone who opposed him, Clinton style, just a little more obvious. I think God Bless America has been a saying, not a slogan, for many years. Again, many countries have said the same of their own country "God Bless". With Hitler I believe he was playing on the anti-Semitism of the German Christians that had been gas lighted many years before with Martin Luther, who had a terrible hatred for the Jews and preached sermons later used in Nazi propaganda pamphlets. Hitler well knew this. One of his many tactics to try and stamp out the Jewish people. I don't think he himself had any belief in any god, other than himself. He simply used what was already there, within his people, an inbreed distrust and hatred for the Jews.

So before you run your mouth about socialism, go live under it for a decade, then come back and tell us how it's workin' for ya. smh
The Democratic party and the media want us to see this.

I found the model of the border control holding facility's cage in use. (Warning fake news)

Border control holding facilities may not carry the weight like a prison but they do hold people that break the law either through an illegal border crossing, drug smuggling, child trafficking, gang-related activities, or terrorist cells that have been trained up in Mexico or South America.

They are largely overfilled due to the misuse of immigration laws and how Democrats do not like to fund ICE of border control for bigger housing facilities.

Vice Presidential candidate Kamala Harris was asked by an illegal immigrant about what they can do this election since they aren't allowed to vote.“I’m undocumented … I can’t vote …What can we do during this election to help make sure that we get you elected?” asked Astrid Silva, an illegal immigrant who was brought to the United States by her illegal migrant parents.“You can tell people who can vote what life is like for you now, and what life can be like,” said Harris."We are committed to shutting down private detention centers and ending policies that have been about separating children from their parents at the border, "

Here is Harris saying they want to shut them down. Biden wanted the illegal immigrants to vote for him. Some children are separated because their parents broke the law, their parents are too sick or their parents were not their parents.

It happens every day in America when parents or a parent gets arrested. They are separated from their children as they go to jail or prison.
