Well that's good to know you like and love the Philippines.. But never forget to seek God first and ask Him why you have this great desire for this country. He knows everything.
God bless you! :)

Nakakaw.....at one time, I got this 'obsession" about the country of India, it's history, it's opportunities in sharing JESUS Christ, etc. I would dream of going there. I contacted a missionary outreach who offered me a chance to go on a trip at my convenience. A local pastor acquaintance of mine is now pastoring there. An actual date for me was arranged online for me to visit a mission there and I had begun to take this very seriously because I was invited by a family who would open their home to me to stay with them. Financially, it failed to go through and I was upset that I had failed GOD. Then a report got back to me....that particular region I was to visit was caught up in a disastrous flood and 1500 people in that immediate area were drowned in the very week I was to be there on location. In God's timing I may or may not end up there...but it all got started with a dream. Your dream will be a success if what you are studying ends up as a mission outreach for GOD's glory..and not just your own. I would not stop my knowledge seeking on the subject, but I would allow God to move me as HE opens doors for you. Otherwise, it will be like mentally divulging into the Land of Oz with no clear purpose.

I want to know if I am insane!!!

Okay, so I am a 17 year old white Canadian Male, and I am heavily obsessed with the Philippines... It as if it is my God because I idolize it so much, I am so devoted unto studying everything about the country and even learning the language.... Everyday I expand my vocabulary in their official language called Tagalog. As well, I always spend at least an hour a day reading about Filipino history from books that I have. I even plan on buying more history books. I am even at the point that I know the location and name of every province and major city, as well as the major languages spoken in each province,
Also at school every time we receive assignments, I always manage to turn the assignment into something about the Philippines. I am also thinking about learning how to read in the ancient script of the Philippines called Baybayin or what is incorrectly known as "Alibata"; even though this would have no use at all. But the weirdest thing is, every time I hear someone say the word "Philippines" I jump internally in excitement. It just feels so good to hear the name for some weird reason... And when I happen to see Filipino people, hahaha I feel so crazy in the inside, my heart goes fast my eyes light up and I have to fight the urge to yell kabayan.. hahahaha

Important note, I NEVER BEEN OUTSIDE OF CANADA BEFORE....
E DI WOW!! but hindi ka baliw kapatid..i have that feeling also before when i was teenager .. pray to God that He can use you in the future in some great purposes..huwag mo kalimutan kontakin ako kapag andito ka na sa pinas..FOR sure you can understand what i am saying??? :))

It sounds like you are very hungry and starved for real CHRISTIANITY and it's impact on your life. Rightly so...for to live in a country where CHRIST Is not openly accepted by the majority would cause that..we bless and pray for you, JCluvsme...and hopefully you are and will be a continual light to the rest of your countrymen.

Wow! That true? That's super great to hear! You know I can teach you everything I know about our culture if you want. I just want to know why you are so obsessed with Philippines if you don't mind me asking. Is it that you find Filipinos so cute and beautiful? Or is it our beautiful beaches and historical places? Did you find out about our national treasure? Hmm..but you know, I'm not really surprise to hear that you love our country because me too! ;) High 5 brother! Thanks for your love! I hope someday you'll visit us. God bless!! :)

It's funny and amazing at the same time knowing that other nationalities like you love our country because I know a lot don't and only think or see Philippines as a third world dirty with full of corrupt leaders and servants. Even those who are born Filipinos are not proud of being one.
I had a dear friend who was born in the Philippines and adopted as a preteen and brought to America. She always thought of the Philippines as her real home. I asked about the Philippines quite a bit. I love learning about other places haha
My other friend lives in Egypt, which people only think if as "dangerous" or "full of war" when really if you talk to someone there many will tell you its not like tht

:haha: you really love learning about other places
so we if we may asked you if you could somehow search this
place in the philippines which is only known as " ibako "

i cant find it on the internet even though
i've been there miraculously
and why i've said miraculously becaused theres no record of that
place where the street in the main road is ful of butterfly design
and all the things there are somekind of dream
for i saw some things there that i've seen in my dreams
when i was just a child
and
i have no doubt about it
because im not dreaming during that time
and for once i was scared during that time
that i could not not go back from our home until
i saw this tower WHICH LOOKS LIKE A BIG LETTER T
THOUGH ITS MORE LIKE A TRAIN TOWER
BUT THERE IS NO TRAIN TOWER IN THAT PLACE WAAAAAAAAA
BECAUSE THE DRIVER OF THE JEEP TOLD ME THAT THE PLACE IS
CALLED PARANAQUE LAS PINAS
AND AFTER I PASS THAT TOWER ALL BECAME DARK THAT IT WAS
LIKE AN EMPTY SPACE OUTSIDE OF THE PLANET EARTH

Whoa. Dude, you sound like you love the Philippines more than my moms does... and she's FROM the Philippines. All I can say is, stick with the tourist spots if you ever visit there. The first time dad went there he almost got kidnapped by Muslims, and the last time I was there someone offered to buy me. Not exactly memories you want to associate with your vacation spot.

As a Future Filipino Teacher that you love Philippines and you're not insane hahaha. Thank you for choosing Philippines, it is rich in history and culture and we have so many dialects. What makes me smile and proud of you is that you know our ancient script is not Alifbata/Alibata it is Baybayin. Kasi marami ang nagkakamali rito. We will be glad if you visit here in the Philippines :)

Well, you may well be insane, but it isn't because of your love for Filipina culture. My aunt is Filipina and one of the best women I know. She follows strict values and teachings and instills it in her children as well. I went to Phil with my job the summer before last. What an amazing place. I am anxious to go with my aunt soon and experience it from a tourist perspective!
