Tchaikovsky was gay? He made some great music... I played some of his works for the piano.
Yes, he was. There are other classical composers that were and I'm trying to think of them...

Besides, some of the greatest artists of all time were gay. Thomas Mann, Oscar Wilde, Leonardo Da Vanci... thank god they lived. =)
But where are these artists spending eternity? That is what matters.

You think god made these homosexuals for the lake of fire........you think their gifts were an accident and an abomination. Michealangelo, DaVinci, Carravaggio, Walt Wittman, Aristotle, Cole Porter, and an endless list more....sorry.... I think god had a purpose for the likes of these great artists. Whether we understand it or not......and no Musical me, Jesus had nothing to say specifically himself in the new testiment about homosexuals, despite the theological gymnastics of some.

Homosexuality is wrong period . Don't try to stick up for them. Love the person , hate the sin and move on. I'm so tired of christians condoning sin all the time.

I'm right with you pinkstixs. It's called compromising the Word of God for the sake of people's feelings. And in response to Muninsperch, Jesus might not have 'directly' said anything about homosexuality, but since the entire gospels are 'God-breathed' we can know that it is an abomination to God. It is not His intended purpose for His creation. It's just another act of rebellion against God for the sake of doing one's own will and fulfilling one's own desires despite God's will. Now I do not hold homosexuality as greater than any other unrepentant sin, but the big difference is that you don't see liars or murderers pushing their 'philosophies' through the political arena and through our school systems to aid in their beliefs that there is nothing wrong with it. There are even false christians who claim to be a self-practicing homosexual that would even go as far as compromising the very Word of God and conforming it to fit their own lifestyles. It's one thing for me to be an unrepentant liar, but it's a whole other ballgame when I try and push my beliefs into the public arena to tell everyone that lying is not a sin, that lying is not wrong, excuse holding myself accountable by saying I was born a liar, and push to change the word 'lying' to maybe calling it 'alternative truth'. And I would like laws to be put into place so I can teach that to the younger generations through your school systems and there is nothing you could do about it.....oh, and if you talk bad about my lifestyle and even quote your bible on how it is a sin then I would want to have you put in prison or fined for hate speech. Praise God for His never-changing Word despite the constant winds of change through the public square......even among 'christian' circles.

JJKG: God did say something about homosexuality.

Leviticus 18:22 - "Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable." (NIV)
Leviticus 20:13 - "If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads." (NIV)

Romans 1:26-27 - "Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion." (NIV)

YEs, I know of those, but I was responding to someone who commented that Jesus was never quoted as saying it is a sin. Just because Jesus wasn't quoted directly as establishing homosexuality as a sin, it is littered all over the gospels, both new and old that it is in fact a sin against God...and since the gospels are God-breathed, we don't necessarily need a direct quote from Jesus to confirm it as such.

Being overweight is not a sin. Where at in the bible does it say that fat people are sinning. I know that gluttony and slothfulness are a sin but being fat is not a sin. All I know is that Jesus calls on us to love all people. Doesn't matter what they do. Homosexuality is not natural. Certain parts don't fit other parts but thats not the point. We should love gay people and treat them the way we would treat any other person we see in church. We can love them without condoning that lifestyle.

As I said before; Yes, the bible says living gay is sin, but as I also said before; So are many other things:

22 But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, ‘Raca!’* shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says, ‘You fool!’ shall be in danger of hell fire.

I don't know about you, but I Know I have been angry with both christians and non- christians without the "right" to be so...

Nobody is born gay.
Do you think they CHOOSE to be gay? Yeah being gay sure has a lot of advantages:
- You get lectured all the time by mentally retarded people that you are an abomination. That rocks!
- You are more likely to get AIDS. Sooooo coool!
- You get beaten up by nazigangs. Who doesn't like that!
- You get discriminated by your co-workers. No downside to that!
- Only 5% of humankind are homosexual, so you have a much harder time finding a partner. But being alone rocks anyway!

Give me only single reason why ANYONE would CHOOSE to be homosexual. It only has disadvantages. I mean, there are even homosexual animals. Are they also corrupted by our liberal media or what do you think?

Just as some people are born blind or deaf or limp or mentally retarded or blonde or black or I don't know... some people are born gay. Or do you think the blind also CHOOSE to be blind? "Oh man, I sure hate seeing stuff. Let's stop with that."

You can't be serious with that.

People choose to be gay because they're depraved and dead in sin. Blindness and homosexuality are far different and I can't believe your ignorant enough to compare the two.

I do not believe people choose to be gay, but neither do I believe they are born gay.

I think they just... end up that way. .. people change... the world we live in causes people to change... I am not the same person I was even two years ago, though I never said "Now I am going to be something else than what I am". It's the sum of all we do and feel, we can't always control it...
I agree with above on one thing: WHY would they choose to be gay (especially earlier) knowing what will face them, if they could choose not to be?

Seems like you are one of the persons I listed on top of my "advantages" list. Ever thought about a therapy? Get all that hatred out of your soul.

Name calling isn't going to help. This should be a place for debate - not mud-slinging. If you disagree with what someone has to say, that's fine and you have every right to state your opinion but there's no need to start calling people stupid.

If we can't even love each other, what hope do we have to be able to love anyone else?
