Can SOMEONE here give me one legitimate reason as to why?

Lol, and before I'm "corrected" about "the love of money" being the root and not money itself, remember God is LOVE. We cannot take love away no matter how it's expressed. We surely can't get rid of people, but do we have the mentality to do away with money?

It is the love of money that is the root of all evil. Money can be very useful, even to the most devout follower of our Lord.

Jesus said give to Caesar what is Caesar and He used money.

[h=3]Matthew 17:24-27[/h]New King James Version (NKJV)

[SUP]24 [/SUP]When they had come to Capernaum,[SUP][a][/SUP] those who received the temple tax came to Peter and said, “Does your Teacher not pay the temple tax?”
[SUP]25 [/SUP]He said, “Yes.”
And when he had come into the house, Jesus anticipated him, saying, “What do you think, Simon? From whom do the kings of the earth take customs or taxes, from their sons or from strangers?”
[SUP]26 [/SUP]Peter said to Him, “From strangers.”

Jesus said to him, “Then the sons are free. [SUP]27 [/SUP]Nevertheless, lest we offend them, go to the sea, cast in a hook, and take the fish that comes up first. And when you have opened its mouth, you will find a piece of money;[SUP][b][/SUP] take that and give it to them for Me and you.”

We've been offered a wise and purposeful scripture regarding how and why to use money if one has been blessed with it.

Luke 16:9
I tell you, use worldly wealth to gain friends for yourselves, so that when it is gone, you will be welcomed into eternal dwellings

Perhaps this also ties in well with "just one" of the various reasons Jesus told the rich man to sell his possessions and give to the poor,
I tend to think so.

The things that are shown unto me about this world, you would not believe. We are kings! Do ants sell reliable food supplies to other ants? It is NOT the money that takes care of us people but God. But we refuse to obey, even by the things we can see with our eyes.

I called us "internet warriors" because we only do on a broader scale what was done for many years before us....... Talk. Why would anybody really believe anything when Jesus needs a collection plate, Allah has to sell newspapers, and both of their servants pay bills like mindless sheep.

I tell you today that the only thing holding us back is our imagination and the power we give over MONEY! Because of it people starve all over the world. Most of the world lives on between $2 a day and $8 an hour and yet we are abundant in EVERYTHING!

Now this may be ignored like most of my posts over the years by most here, but this is the truth. And I'm no better than you all so I NEED YOU! My spirit is indeed willing, but the flesh is weak. I wrestle with the same problems. By the standards of the world, my light and gas will soon be cut off because I simply cannot afford it. I am unemployed and only get enough to pay rent.

I could find another simple job to help "make ends" meet, but that is not the answer. I would rather work to enter into rest.

Together we can slay the beast. But we must do it in love.

Matthew 8:5-10

[SUP]5 [/SUP]These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:
[SUP]6 [/SUP]But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
[SUP]7 [/SUP]And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.
[SUP]9 [/SUP]Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses,
[SUP]10 [/SUP]Nor scrip for your journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor yet staves: for the workman is worthy of his meat. You paid for neither life, the sun and the rain, the air you breathe and death but in between you are charged for everything else?

mmm i see that scripture makes no difference to the socialist agenda.........but for those who would like to know more. Money is just a symbol. its placed upon the value of a person's work, used to exchange for the fruits of their labors be it food or clothes or other material goods that need human hands to craft.

Money has been misused but the system of barter was replaced with monetary coins even in Jesus time because it made it easier to exchange your goods for good you needed even if that other person didn't want your goods.

For example you need a plow, but the blacksmiths doesn't want your crops but needs some more metal. however the miners would love to have the food. Instead of having to travel to exchange for the metal and the metal for the plow. you can sell someone the food and get money. the money then can buy the plow and then the blacksmith can use the money to pay for the metal and the miner can in turn use the money to buy food. Money is just symbolic of a sort of trust system established for an exchange of goods. Money in itself is NOT evil. its is an attachment and love of money that causes problems.

So you are saying instead of finding a job, you would rather die? You want our help but won't listen to what Scripture actually says when it doesn't fit your preconceived false view of the world and how God wants the world to work?

mmmm......

[h=3]2 Thessalonians 3:11-12[/h]New King James Version (NKJV)

[SUP]11 [/SUP]For we hear that there are some who walk among you in a disorderly manner, not working at all, but are busybodies. [SUP]12 [/SUP]Now those who are such we command and exhort through our Lord Jesus Christ that they work in quietness and eat their own bread.

[h=3]Luke 22[/h]
[SUP]36 [/SUP]Then He said to them, “But now, he who has a money bag, let him take it, and likewise a knapsack; and he who has no sword, let him sell his garment and buy one. [SUP]37 [/SUP]For I say to you that this which is written must still be accomplished in Me: ‘And He was numbered with the transgressors.’[SUP][a][/SUP] For the things concerning Me have an end.”

I could find another simple job to help "make ends" meet, but that is not the answer. I would rather work to enter into rest.

Together we can slay the beast. But we must do it in love.
but haven't you entered into His rest?
your church will help you make ends meet until you find another job.
they are able because there is a collection plate:)

Acts 18
18 After these things Paul departed from Athens, and came to Corinth;

2 And found a certain Jew named Aquila, born in Pontus, lately come from Italy, with his wife Priscilla; (because that Claudius had commanded all Jews to depart from Rome) and came unto them.

3 And because he was of the same craft, he abode with them, and wrought: for by their occupation they were tentmakers.

The things that are shown unto me about this world, you would not believe. We are kings! Do ants sell reliable food supplies to other ants?
no some ants will steal food from other ant hills or even eat other ants. so you example... um leaves something to be desired....

It is NOT the money that takes care of us people but God.
true God gives us the means to care for those He has entrusted us with.

But we refuse to obey, even by the things we can see with our eyes.
one wonders what you think you "see"

I called us "internet warriors" because we only do on a broader scale what was done for many years before us....... Talk. Why would anybody really believe anything when Jesus needs a collection plate, Allah has to sell newspapers, and both of their servants pay bills like mindless sheep.
you may be mindless but Jesus said to give to those what is due. He didn't tell people to try and overthrow the money system.

Jesus does NOT need a collection plate but His body uses it as a way to meet material needs. you're inching your way into becoming insulting.

I tell you today that the only thing holding us back is our imagination and the power we give over MONEY! Because of it people starve all over the world. Most of the world lives on between $2 a day and $8 an hour and yet we are abundant in EVERYTHING!
well that is a lie, but doubt you would listen if I tried to explain it to you.

Now this may be ignored like most of my posts over the years by most here, but this is the truth.
not ignored, just recognized as a lie you have allowed yourself to be deceived by.

And I'm no better than you all so I NEED YOU!
no you need JESUS.

My spirit is indeed willing, but the flesh is weak. I wrestle with the same problems. By the standards of the world, my light and gas will soon be cut off because I simply cannot afford it. I am unemployed and only get enough to pay rent.
only get enough from where to pay rent? disability?

obviously you get enough to find a way to come on the internet....mmm, wonder how that happens?

I could find another simple job to help "make ends" meet, but that is not the answer.
its not? why not?

I would rather work to enter into rest.
now how do you plan on doing that?

Together we can slay the beast. But we must do it in love.
what beast?

i'm begining to think its not physical disability that you are on.

Anyway, I'm going to pray that God gives you wisdom from Above and a Spirit of love, power and a SOUND Mind.

I would recommend if you are able to get a job and find ways to pray and WALK in the HOLY SPIRIT; instead of trying to overthrow the world's monetary system.

Galatians 5:27-31

[SUP]27[/SUP]For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: for the desolate hath many more children than she which hath an husband.
[SUP]28 [/SUP]Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise.
[SUP]29 [/SUP]But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now.
[SUP]30 [/SUP]Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman.
[SUP]31 [/SUP]So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free.

my dear....this means we are saved by Grace through faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ and have passed from death to life.
the New Covenant. not under the curse of the Law.

the word free in there doesn't mean without cost. Jesus paid a High Price to set us free from sin death and the devil.
free doesn't mean handouts either, as far as i know:)

though a church can help you since Christians give of their money cheerfully.

if there's an alternative that doesn't look like this, i'm open:
It involves freeing all of debt and working together to freely give all people all the things we need. The proof that we can do this is again the 18 million houses empty and 3 million homeless who cannot afford anyone of the six home he or she has to choose from.

Ecc 10:19 A feast is made for laughter, and wine maketh glad the life; and money answereth all things.

The previous is a lesson from the Word on the usefulness of money. It does not allude to loving money rather to its usefulness.

As for the disciples being sent out, in the scripture it is state, a workman is worthy of meat. In other words it was expected they would be cared for along the way, ergo, no need for them to be toting cash.

but you'll be imprisoned or shot for going against the money powers.
they stole those houses and are protected in their Racketeering, for now.

are you suggesting squatting?:)
i think i asked this once before.

perhaps move to the desert and live outside in a tent? some do.
learn to gather edible wild foods?

don't have a solution for you, really.
room-mates?

take care though.

That's the problem and the point. I do not need a church (which God does not dwell in) to give me money to pay a bill. What I need is for you to see that the "bill" is simply our imaginations and traditions passed down as Jesus mentioned to Peter. But the sons are free.

For it they are persecuted meaning if I keep saying that all men will be saved (as a free man) too many times, I may be banned from the site. If I do not pay my rent, light, gas, and various other bills and taxes, I am persecuted by the system of those who live by it's customs and regulations.

Again I don't need money, just the computer not to program my house to be cut off for lack of "payment" and for more minds to be free.

As long as the material world exists, the flesh that is, coveting will also at all levels with all levels of conflict from individuals to international conflicts. As written, what causes wars amongst you? You covet and you cannot obtain. In our very recent history it was declared, "Greed is good." What else is greed other than coveting?
