Is it wrong to start dating someone that doesn’t go to church?

No. But is the other person or yourself a believer? If the answer is you are & they aren't then...don't date them, because the bible speaks of being unequally yolked.

Hmm...umm...I'm going to say it depends on your convictions and how you define 'wrong'. The Bible does mention not being unequally yoked, but I think that's something you need to pray about. If you feel God's against it, then no, but otherwise...loving people is sort of the defining Christian characteristic. (That can be misused/skewed though, so please...don't take it in such manner.)

I personally know people of all faiths (or no faith) which have good relationships (and bad ones), but it depends on what you're looking for. If your guy is to be the spiritual leader of the household, than one who is not living the Christian life would obviously be a less than stellar choice.

I agree with iTOREtheSKY.
I've dated girls who were atheists and agnostics and pagans. In the end it just doesn't work out. And for me at least, they'd bring me down to their level where I myself was acting out against God's will and making a fool of myself. http://christianchat.com/member.php?u=152214

Depends, if the person is a true believer in Christ, then no, I wouldn't consider it wrong. Some Christians have been burned by churches and the corruption that can happen in them, so they choose not to go but that doesn't make them any less Christian. They could still be used wonderfully by God, if they seek him.

Now, if the person is not a Christian and you are, then that would be unequally yoked and not a good thing.

...and just to add to that, unfortunately as a believer I made the choice to marry an unbeliever & now here it is 10 years later & we have been divorced now a little over a year. So it doesn't work,no matter what good intentions there are or what you think you may have in common,if Christ isn't the center of the relationship & you both aren't bringing 100% of yourselves into the relationship,it's doomed to fail...epicly! She wanted the divorce, not me...but she also had no desire to go to counseling, secular or christian...alone or us together.
