That awkward moment when you think you're alone and you're talking to the baby who's wiggling an awful lot today, and everything you're saying to said baby wouldn't be anything you'd say to anyone else. But someone walks in and asks you who you're talking to, and when you tell them it was a private conversation with the baby, they give you a weird look.
Hey! I enjoy talking to my baby!

You continue talking to the baby! Their language center will develop faster and better. It will help increase their intelligence, and help them speak faster; take their hand and place it on the side of your mouth while you speak. It's a speech therapy trick they use with older children, but it works wonders! The eye contact you make with the baby will also increase attachment and help aid in the comfort of the child.

That awkward moment when you almost fall off of your porch because a hummingbird scared you.

So in high school one of my friends brought bubbles to school. I think I was a senior. Anyway, we were eating lunch in the band room and I has turned in my chair talking to someone else. My friend called my named and I turned around... there was a huge bubble about a half inch from me, and I screamed. Yep. At a bubble. My brain finally caught up with the fact that it was soapy water, and I started laughing. The band director comes running in because he heard me scream above the din of the lunch crowd. Apparently I scared him bad enough to grab a weapon-- an oboe.

That very-nearly-awkward moment when someone gives you a little stuffed animal, and then asks you the next day if you still have it, or if you threw it away. Awkwardness was avoided by merely saying that I still had it, and leaving off the part about using it for a new pincushion.

That awkward moment when you go up to meet a guest speaker at your church and they go for a high five so you try to high five them but then finding out they were going to high five someone else that was taller than you. Then having to awkwardly play it off. Or the awkward moment when its your freshman year of high school and you see your friends at a table so you run to the table and sit down and say whats up guys?? Only to find out when they turn around, its not your friends, Just very confused people.

Aimes, you realize this kid is still a bun in the oven, right?

That awkward moment you'd love to see a humming bird but live on the wrong continent to see them and hate anything resembling needles.

yeah... that's weird. Out of all the dreams I've had since I've been pregnant, I was only pregnant in one of them....

This happened when I was in high school. That awkward moment when baking an apple, and your mom thinks it's a pecan pie, cause you shredded the apples, not sliced. That awkward moment when you find out that when the cook book said shredded apples, it probably meant sliced. (Although, it still could have meant shredded.) That awesome moment when your mom says it tasted great.

Nope, I thought she had already given birth. If I was pregnant, I would talk to my unborn fetus. I would read to it and play good music for it. That way they'll know what to expect after I've given birth.

It's my job as their mother to prepare them for the world. :p

That awkward moment when you realize about 30 seconds too late that you SHOULD HAVE SHUT UP, but you just couldn't.

Man, that was horrible.

I will not go back...I will not go back...I will not go back...

That awkward moment when the coaster gets stuck to the bottom of your coffee cup, but you don't realize it until you've walked half way across the house, at which point said coaster falls off and makes a gun-shot sounding noise against the wood floor, so you jump and think you might be dead now, and fling coffee 10 feet out in several directions and drop the cup, which also startles you because you haven't yet realized exactly what happened, but then it occurs to you that you're still breathing, so you look around, the situation dawns on you, and you feel like a total idiot.

AND you have to mop the floor for the second time today.
