How old is old ? Do you color your hair to look younger ?
Silver is pretty. Did you know Proverbs tells us "White
hair is a sign of Wisdom?" Yep.

I don't know if all the ladies went somewhere else where
old people go or not, but hey, if someone decides they want
to talk, ( ahem...old lady talk ) this is great spot.

Seriously, I don't have bad breath. I am not senile YET... I
think 68 qualifies me for this group. I hope someone will take
pity on me and whoever wanted and started this group ....
please participate.

Talk about Jesus, Family, Inspirational Books.... Dentures,
Aches, Grandchildren...

Okay, Good night

I'd definitely go for it! 55 & counting, lol...we often have things to share that those with less life experience cannot quite appreciate yet.

I totally disagree!! Unless your talking about starting threads with titles such as , "How was your colonoscopy today ?" Then I would agree, the young people can't appreciate what it's like to drink that jug and have to spend hours in the bathroom. But who wants to talk about that stuff!

Seriously, this is a Christian site I thought meant to interact with others of all ages, colors, and cultures to share the Gospel and to Glorify our Creator. To share our life experiences and how God pulled us out of our holes and from the brink of death.

News flash! The young people have a lot to share with us. I for one have been on this site for nearly 2 months. I am a women of God, have had many experiences and like many, a personal relationship with him. I am so impressed already by some of the young men and women I have been interacting with on most of the threads. They could be my children by age and some are still younger. The heart of God knows no age. I believe that with every ounce of my being. So I say respectfully that please consider thinking about how important it is to share all life experiences with our young. They can learn from them, just as we can learn from them. Oh...what I wouldn't of given to have the heart of God at a much younger age like these young people here. God Bless, I hope this is taken in the spirit in which I tried to give it.

J-Kay, this section is for making suggestions to improve the site. If you guys wanted to create a thread, it should be started somewhere else.
Another idea, is you could create a private group. This way people have to ask to join, and you can approve/deny based off their age or other criteria. Its kind of like a forum, within the forums. But bear in mind, the 'private' means who can join, not that everything said is in private. It can be read through other facets of the site by anyone. I discovered this after posting some things in a private Creative Writing group we have.

WELL EXCUSE ME... I thought I was responding to a group that tried to start a little
over a week or so. Okay, I guess being mature is considered out of place ? I am still
at a loss why I am being kicked off a group that appeared it would be for OLDER ADULT
THREAD .... I am reading top page to left... It says.. I QUOTE... "OLDER ADULT THREAD."
That being said, I am asking you to delete my posts here please. I look like a fool. Oh,
yeah, I guess going private is like saying "put the old lady in the rest home ?"
I do ask you to please tell me how to delete all my posts please. I really am dumb and
need help.. no kidding. Thanks..

You can't delete your posts, J-Kay, but don't worry about it. Simple misunderstanding. :)

Hello, yac11. I am very interested n communing with any1 of any age when the topic is my LORD Jesus Christ. I am not speaking of discussions such as you mentioned, when I say that we "elders" have things 2 relate 2 each other that the younger ppl cannot quite appreciate. An example of what I meant is being aging grandparents without any insurance. I do not think too many young people would b all that interested n learning how to survive the shattering breakup of our grandchildren' home...I simply feel that young ppl will possibly not b that interested. (I know quite a few young people. :) )

Hi, I was told here we should start our own group elsewhere. I have no problem with
young people either. Gosh I have teen age grandchildren, plus a granddaughter 29.
So, now that being said, we need to figure out a title and start our own group .. but one
that will appeal to all who want to participate. What do you think ?

Wow, all i did was try to help you out by explaining the way to forums work and you get offended and blow it all out of proportion?
And i didn't say anything about 'hiding' anyone. I made a friendly suggestion about making a private group, that you can control who joins. Many people make these groups. It has nothing to do with 'hiding the old people'. It has to do with you making a request, and i made a suggestion on how you can fulfill your request on your own.
And, again, i didn't say it was wrong to respond here, but the suggestion was made to turn THIS thread into a thread for older users, and i pointed out that this is not the correct section for that. Again, trying to help. If i hadn't pointed this out, the mods would have to move this thread, or close it, to discourage its misuse. So i was trying to help prevent that extra work for them, or for you guys to have your thread shut down.
Everything i did, i did to be friendly, helpful and to make it easier on you and you get mad and act like i'm putting you down? I'm sorry i tried to help you and give you tips on how the site functions, and suggestions on how to make things more effective and easier for you. I promise you, i will not make the mistake of trying to be helpful to you again.

Well thank you for that post. Actually while I was in bible study this morning, I was thinking about my position I took on the older thread and realized my comment was kinda of stupid. Meaning that we should be able to have an older thread and after all there is a single, women, teens...etc. etc. However, I do believe what I mentioned in general....we can all learn from each other which you clearly agree with as well.

I am sorry if your going to lose your insurance or if it's a huge possibility. I pray everyday we are not going to lose ours as we have 2 family members here with catastrophic health issues. To say it's scary would be an understatement. I am sure there are many young people who wouldn't be interested in the older thread, but again since so many young Christians are so mature I am sure they will come and check out the older thread and decide for themselves. I would add I would hope to see it not closed to others. Because I lost my mom at 18. I would of appreciated learning about life from my elders, I had no one to learn from or teach me about life in general. I look back and realize as a adult women that others learn from us even when were not meaning to teach them. However, most of my testimony is that though I didn't have a mom, etc. etc. I had God and he is the reason I am a balanced adult today.

Also being a grandmother for this last year and all the blessings that come with it, I would also be devastated if their parents were getting divorced, and their world was being shattered. :)

As Ugly said, this portion of the forums is for making suggestions for improvements/changes to the site. This particular thread was started to make the suggestion that we add an older adults forum which we have not and probably will not do.
