mary and joseph were obedient to God's design for marriage...they had sex...mary did not remain perpetually a virgin...and it is insulting to her to claim otherwise...
You do not know that. There is no way to know this with such certainty and for you to state it boldly in such a manner only underscores how totally full of stuff and nonsense you are.

What arrogance.

I personally think Mary was a humble woman, and dont think she would approve
of what you doing on her behalf. What your doing is starting a nasty fight on her behalf.
I cant see it is anything more than a form of worship. Look up the word worship to understand.

The 'Queen of Heaven'.
Look it up.
Total pagan and pantheistic garbage.
Mary wasn't the female form of God, she was a highly favored young woman.
Jesus was the only God made flesh.
God only had to send one savior, because He doesn't make mistakes. - (So He didn't have to send more than one)
Mary was fully human and not at all God. She provided the human side of Jesus' DNA.
The Holy Spirit provided the Holy (or God side) of His DNA.
Don't confuse the two. Jesus was all man and all God. Mary provided the man, the Holy Spirit provided the God.

well there are only two options...either mary and joseph were obedient to God's design for marriage and had sex...or they were disobedient and did not unite sexually...

i am going to give them the benefit of the doubt and say they were obedient...

You are arrogantly assuming you understand "God's Design for (ALL) Marriage"

P.S. I think they were obedient too.

1 Corinthians 9:5
Do we not have the right to take along a believing wife, as do the other apostles and the brothers of the Lord and Cephas?

Wow... so you think you know what Mary would approve of?

"Nasty" is pretty much in the eye of the beholder and is often more a projection than objective evaluation.
(not always - but often)
Check Rachel's verbiage and compare to mine... phony made up "insult" vs obvious "arrogance" -- which qualifies as more 'nasty'?

You do understand Abiding, that you are free to step down from the peanut gallery and join the debate/discussion, at anytime...ok? (just checking)

why are you here?
i mean - protestants are anathema to RCC.
and you're clearly not trying to convert anyone to RCC.
so is this fun for you?

So... am I supposed to see God's design for all marriage baked into that quote or...?

But Xanadu.........Mary was a human with a biological father and mother.
She supplied the part of Jesus that made Him fully 'Son of man'.
The Holy Spirit provided that part of His DNA that made Him the 'Son of God".
It is plainly written in the scriptures.
A riddle for you:
How can Jesus be the "Son of Man"-(Matt *:20,16:13, 17:9,17:22; etc.,etc.) and the "Son of God"- (Matt.8:29, 26:63, 27:54, Mark 1:1, 5:7, Luke 8:28, etc., etc.)?

Oh... maybe I misunderstood

I thought this was "Christian chat"

Am I required to be
a. Protestant?
or
b. trying to convert others to the RCC

I guess I didn't get the memo.

But it is entertaining and I am learning a lot.

["protestants are anathema to RCC"? (or is it the other way around? ... is this another 'dogma' thing?)]

i guess i got you mixed up with another Catholic.

do you agree with his assessment? is he rightly defending the RCC position here (spoken to me, a LUTHERAN (ya...THAT Luther:cool:)?

Apparently, you don't know your history - or Church history.
You're outside the Church so the Anathemas don't pertain to you or any of your fellow anti-Cathoics. They only apply to members of the Body of Christ.

Mary was not a perpetual virgin.

Romans 3:21-23 [SUP]21 [/SUP]But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; [SUP]22 [/SUP]Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: [SUP]23 [/SUP]For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Romans 5:11-12 [SUP]11 [/SUP]And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement. [SUP]12 [/SUP]Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

Neither was Mary sinless before the crucifixion.
