We do not. He does, Only God, Christ alone. But, we are to be pure vessels who are faith fully following Him in our lives, with His power in us, working, He is us, we in Him, living, walking, we can read the Word and see that He wants us to have the power to speak out righteously against those who oppress the poor and the needy. That is called righteous JUDGMENT, and, Scripture says in many places, like Isaiah 1:17 and Psalms 98: 8-9, and, Proverbs 31:9 we , indeed, are not to sit still when it comes to helping those in need. If you know of a brother in need, then, help them.
God does say the poor will always be with us, but, besides the fact that that verse is saying, too, that Jesus will not always be on this earth with us living as a human being, the verse says, indirectly, that we ARE to help the poor by virtue of the plethora of verses in Scripture that tell us to support the poor and needy as God Himself said He will help 'the oppressed in the land.' Now, these are those who are poor in a different way, but they are poor and needy, too, and, we are to do the same things as Jesus did within our own little sphere of influence, or, 'enormous,' if He so wills, in our life. Whatever we do, great or small, we are to KNOW He is doing a work in us, for we are His workmanship.

Money is made from the same wood we make to wipe our backsides with! It has no power but what we give to it!
I've always found that the LACK of money is the root of all evil.
Throw that in with the media campaigns which make us yearn for the next iPhone, that cool pair of shoes, that awesome new video game etc.
I don't think god even has a look in here. Everyone wants what they cant have and most people will do anything to get it. They will steal, beg, get into debt etc because they are told they must buy this to be socially acceptable.
Marketing studies show that when people buy things, one of their main influences in buying something is what their friends will think of it and how it will make them appear to other people.
Fortunately I don't buy into that mentality.

THE VISION OF THE EPHAH VESSEL[/h]Verses 5 through 11 describe the vision of the ephah vessel, which is the measuring vessel, a container able to hold one ephah, used for purchasing and selling in business.[h=2]A. Its Appearance in All the Land[/h]"Then the angel who spoke with me went forth and said to me, Lift up now your eyes and see what this is that goes forth. And I said, What is it? And he said, This is the ephah vessel that goes forth; and he said, This is their appearance in all the land" (vv. 5-6). A large percentage of the world's population is engaged in business or commerce. The appearance of business is not that bad; rather, in all the land commerce seems to have a proper appearance. But as we will see, actually today's commerce is totally wicked.[h=2]B. A Woman Sitting within the Ephah Vessel[/h]"This is a woman sitting within the ephah vessel. Then he said, This is Wickedness" (vv. 7b-8a). This reveals that the woman sitting within the ephah vessel signifies the wickedness contained in commerce, such as covetousness, deceit, and the love of mammon. The seller loves money and tries to get money out of the buyer's pocket; the buyer also loves money and tries to obtain the things he wants at a low price, thereby saving money.The vision in Zechariah 5 corresponds to that of Babylon the Great in Revelation 18. These visions show us that in the sight of God the wickedness contained in commerce is a kind of idolatry and fornication. Business is an adulterous woman desirous of making money.[h=2]C. A Lead Cover Thrown
over the Opening of the Ephah Vessel[/h]In Zechariah 5:7 and 8 we see that a lead cover, a lead weight, is thrown over the opening of the ephah vessel. This signifies the restriction of the wickedness in commerce by God's sovereignty. Wickedness is hidden and concealed in international trade. If commerce, especially international trade, could be restricted, the whole earth would be holy.[h=2]D. Two Women Going Forth[/h]"Then I lifted up my eyes and I saw, and behold, there were two women going forth" (v. 9a). The one woman becoming two women signifies the double effect of commerce once it becomes free of the restriction.
[h=2]E. Two Women Lifting Up the Ephah Vessel
between the Earth and the Heavens[/h]The two women had wings like the wings of a stork, and the wind was in their wings. They lifted up the ephah vessel between the earth and the heavens (v. 9b). All this signifies the rapid spreading of the wicked commerce.
[h=2]F. A House Built for the Woman
in the Land of Shinar[/h]"I said to the angel who spoke with me, Where are they taking the ephah vessel? And he said to me, To build a house for her in the land of Shinar; and when it is prepared, she will be set there in her own place" (vv. 10-11). This signifies that God's sovereignty will cause the wickedness in business, which the people of Israel learned of the Babylonians in their captivity, to go back to Babylon (the land of Shinar). Let this wickedness return to Babylon. All the people among God's elect should be honest and simple in their living.

Money and greed produces evil works. A mere lover of silver (money) will not besatisfied with silver. A lover of wealthis never satisfied with income. (Ecclesiastes 5:10) They have an insatiable appetite for money which spins them out of control, even when it causes injury or death to others.
A cancer cure will cost money lovers trillions. Believe me they have cures.
Money lovers know of environmentally safe alternative fuels from renewable sources.
Money lovers have used their churches to gain riches. The fleecing of the flock.
The list goes on with great cost to the common people.
If money did not exist would this solve the problems? No, for whatever can be used as a substitute will be used.
The only solution to the problem is the return of God’sson Jesus to rid the earth of these evils.

Look at the condition people are in today because of "love of money." Some worked
very hard for what they earn. Others steal from those who worked for the same. Hand
outs are expected from those with the "you owe me mentality." No, God said, Man
must work to earn his keep. He did not say money is evil. The Love of it has caused

It was. The problem with how you see the story. If the planet consisted of only Adam, Eve, Cain and Abel, then why would Cain kill his brother, or even be jealous for that matter? If 4 people had dibs on a whole planet, Cain would not give a damn about what Abel did.

Jesus does not need the collection plate. He does tell us " prove me herewith, and see if I won't
pour out blessings." He prefers to be Lord of our life. If we can give to others, this shows we are
willing to give our all, just as He gave His life for us as an example of Love and even sacrifice.
Who is our Lord ? Let's turn that around and ask are we willing to do without and make Him
Lord of our life ? God bless...
