I was looking around youtube and got into the religious video section from going into the related videos and I saw something a bit disturbing. My question is, do you think this is going too far? Basically it was a video on these horrible remarks made to atheists and one comment was particularly disturbing. "I love jesus and the cross and if you don't, I hope someone rapes you." I must admit though, me being very near atheism, I have heard some horrible remarks made by atheists towards Christians, but this just pissed me the heck off. My girlfriend was actually raped when she was a child. And to say you want someone to rape another person because they simply don't believe the same thing you do? Absolutely disgusting. The people I have met on here seem really nice and I would love to make friends with some of them, so I doubt the people here are like that. Another comment I found disturbing was multiple people saying they want to shoot atheists heads off. So by that logic, if your child was an atheist, you would want them to be raped by someone and have them be shot? Why the heck can't we just all get along. I have no problem with most Christians, muslims, Buddhists, etc. There are extremists of every religion and non religion that ruin it for them and others. So from a near atheist to all the Christians here on the chat, I just want there to be peace. If you don't believe what I do, that's fine. There are TONS of other things we could have in common and get along just fine. I am not the devil, I am not some immoral person who goes around raping and murdering for fun. I am just your average every day person. I have morals, I am a human being. So after my ranting and what not, the simple question is: were these comments going too far? Thank you for reading my mindless babbling.

That shows the love I LACK. But, being that way, I would keep on showing I AM ANY BETTER, and perhaps worst than unbelivers.
I remember way I was ONE atheistic. I thought GOD was a lie (one more) and shielded myself against BEING USED or ABUSED. I understand ANY BELIEF can be used to be controled under another´s direction or rule, same way we cannot broadly express our inner thoughts, under the risk of being misunderstood or banned but, HOW COULD BELIEVERS HELP UNBELIEVERS?
I was there as unbeliever, worst than any pagan, since I used to blaspheme God´s name (and He gave me a proof He is real).

No I am not like that. I can respect authority, but I always question. Ok I am in NO WAY mocking and bashing Christianity but I can not worship a god that does this: Judges 21:10-24 NLT. KILLING CHILDREN? Really? Absolutely disgusting. And what about all the young couples where since the girl is a virgin she gets to live, but the boyfriend gets murdered. How would you like it if someone killed your boyfriend or girlfriend, then forced you to either die or live at some camp. I could NEVER in my wildest dreams imagine if my girlfriend was killed. And that's only one passage out of many. I'll be the first to admit, I never read the bible back to front, I don't know much about the bible, but seeing that rape in certain circumstances and killing children and their families is ok? ABSOLUTELY disgusting. He will not be worshiped by me ever, and if he sends me to hell, then so be it. Look I don't want to engage in a religion bashing argument, I have no quarrels with a lot of Christians and they are fine. It's just the crazy stuff in the bible that made me just disgusted. I don't get why we can't all just live in peace. All religions and non religions. Helping each other in times of need, having relationships, loving one another for who we are. No need to rape and kill a whole village simply because a religion commanded it. I have no problems with most Christians, muslims, atheists, etc. It's the extremists of all different religions and non religions that ruin it for me. I am not some devil worshipper, I don't rape people for fun, I have no plans on killing anyone. I am just a regular guy. I have made mistakes, but then again so has everyone else. I am not perfect and everything. I just want to get along with everyone even if we have difference of opinions
If you dont want to get in a relgious debate i understand i would like to encourage you to study more into the things your speakin of though God has his reason for anything he did and nothing like that has been neccary sence christ came to earth but anyway i want really get into it........ an i will say i have known some friendly athiest an muslims an stuff an been friends with them i try not to let diagrements get in the way of potential friendships like you seem like a pretty cool person i could see us being friends despite r diffrences if you could put up with occasinally being preached at cause ometimes i do it without thinkin lol.
I don't mind being preached at at all. I have had my share of church sermons. It's not that I minded them, it's just that I don't agree with it. Just like television preachers. I just don't see the religiousness in someone saying the word of a holy figure then 2 minutes later "Give me money. You can donate here!"

So true...those words defiantly do not sit right with me. A true follower would plea for souls to be saved...not push them away. I believe you, being a Christian, then leaving the church was a work of the devil. Satan puts doubt into our minds daily to turn us away from the living God. So what if you don't fit in at church? your not there to be seen by men, but to be seen by God. I feel like an outcast at my church all the time, But I continue going to church because I love to worship God and the pastor preaches the truth. So in actuality I am happy being the outcast...regardless if the people look at me funny or talk about me behind my back I truly do not care because God still meets me at every service or every time I pray.So I admonish you to pick up where you left off and run for God no matter what people say or do. Man can destroy your body but only God can destroy the body and soul. The only way you can find a church that preaches truth is if you know the truth and live by it. The bible says test the spirits by their fruit.Just know whatever you do dedicate it to God and you will succeed.

But that still doesn't change the fact I don't believe what they taught at church. And I couldn't be a believer even if I wanted to because I know deep down I wouldn't believe it. And if god knows everything about you, then he would know I am a non believer at heart so I am in a bad position either way

Of course it's going too far. If no one has apologized let me be the first to say that I'm sorry that those "christians" said that in result that you questioned a christians true behavior. I consider myself to be a christ follower, and the older I get the more I see people who distort the very behavior we are supposed to live out...so I don't even define myself as the label. Jesus' example is what we are to live by, and if you see anyone who is doing the opposite, they are not truly living out how he called us to live. BTW, YouTube is in my opinion one of the worst places to go to if your mind isn't guarded. People can say just about anything they want and upload it without review. Anyone can say they are christian just like anyone can say anything else about themselves that may or may not be true. Watch how people behave, and you will find out who they truly are. Again I apologize for those remarks of those people that was very wrong of them to say.
