One thing rabid atheists love is to argue. It is their drug of choice as they need to force others to believe as they do.

Give me a break. I've never seen so much arguing as Christians do among themselves. Look at this site! And there's close to 2,000 different Christian denominations in this world! Better not be throwing stones until we clean up our own house. Right?

Dear Danschance,

You are not helping Christianity at all. Not all atheists are rabid some would consider themselves ''moral'' people. So calling them trolls and rabid atheists, is not showing the love of God. A Christian would not say that. Please repent, ask for forgiveness, and repent to God and learn how to love like we are called to. God bless.

Why should we care? I could tell the scientists how to use dye to paint on silk, and I'll bet not a one would say they cared a bit. People who do care have different opinions about the way to do it, besides. I feel the same way about their work and they have different opinions, too. I really don't care.

God created me and God created the world and He didn't give me any instructions about how He did it. He did it.

i still like the old which came first.....the chicken or the egg? if the egg came first then chicken would hatch.....it would have to be a hen so it could produce another egg......but no rooster to fertilize the egg and end of story..... the egg would have to hatch fraternal twins then......probability mathematics go way out of orbit here. the odds were against the egg alone....the odds skyrocketed at fraternal twins......two chickens are necessary to produce even one egg. in all of known history ther has never been a case of a species coming before it's parents. that would defy the logic of even the evolutionists. so the chickens came first...... both of them......and that fits the creationist model

illogical: one could say just as easily that NDE are because God created humans that way.

What is the benefit for basic survival for NDE? camoflauge?

NDE's don't matter because people from all different faiths have them. Is there a heaven for
every faith? It's more likely that something is happening in the brain such as a dream or
hallucination.

I've always wondered why this "proves" evolution. it could just as easily be explained as how God used the substances of the world to create animals.

sometimes fossils are found out of order and people explain it away as tectonic shifts.

if you are truly Christian as your profile proclaims, how do you understand the first few chapters of Genesis?

The first few chapters of Genesis also have 4 days before a sun - not possible.
Also says the Earth is fixed upon pillars immovable - not true.

But by using your logic fossils were probably just placed there by the devil in order to trick us.

I would say NDE's are proof in an after life. One person who experienced an NDE was a neurosurgeon. He was placed in a drug induced coma which shut down all cognitive function. Meaning it was impossible for him to think, fantasize and dream. Yet he recalled vivid of being in a beautiful place he calls Heaven, in spite of the fact he was a skeptic. He said while he was in Heaven, a woman remained with him. He did not know who this woman was until four months after this experience he saw a picture of a sister he had never known because he was adopted as a baby and that picture was her.

Well God must have created us with a tail, a full coat of hair that sheds off, and the remnants of vestigial gill slits.
What actually proves evolution is the DNA and genetic evidence.

But don't take my word for it. Listen to an evolutionary biologist and actually learn something.

how does this answer the question and how do you draw anything about the devil from my statements?

Well, maybe I'm dumb, but I've got to admit: I thought might (vaguely) understand what this guy (in the video) was trying to say about there having to be some markers on our DNA to prove that, at some point, two different species with a different number of chromosomes got together (in order to prove human's and apes descended from a common ancestor), but the truth is, I didn't understand his assertions well enough to derive much of anything from this video. However! I do know this much. First off, I know I would have to assume that this guy's assertion is true before I could take seriously anything else he says. But I've no idea if it's true that certain supposed markers have to show up on our DNA to prove this or that, or that they're even supposedly, for sure, there. Again, I have to assume this guy's telling me the truth about these markers, or at least, that he himself knows all the facts concerning them, before I'd even consider his assertion that "here's the proof right here," etc. In fact, I have to make a ton of assumptions before jumping to the conclusion that this guy is making a lick of sense in the first place! Tell me-- why should I jump to the conclusion that this guy knows perfectly accurate facts about all this stuff, let alone believe he's proving jack squat? Lemme guess. You're going to tell me he's got all these letters after his name and is super-intelligent scientist. And there you are right there, asking me to accept these qualifications on your say-so, besides the fact that all these super-intelligent scientists don't even agree with each other on this stuff! Now you're going to line two or three of um up that agree, right? I've taken a ton of college science courses, and I'm well aware of how scientists disagree on just about everything can name! Kinda like us in this forum.

So what you're asking me to believe is a bunch of stuff based yours and his say-so. Right? Well buddy, you're asking me to assume wayyyyyyy too much. And you're thinking I should overturn my entire belief system based on all these assumptions? Give me a break.

Oh, by the way; you also are assuming all these things. :D

you are very arrogant and ignorant since you don't have a clue about who I am or what I've already learned or believed.

If you are a Christian, you definitely don't display the fruits of walking with the Spirit.

so these are your sources?

I don't know about anyone else that read/will read that, but the article made me laugh near the end.

TheScientificAmerican article said:
“the one most plausible hypothesis in Dr. Alexander's case, then, is that his NDE occurred not during his coma, but as he was surfacing from the coma and his cortex was returning to full function. It is curious that he does not allow this obvious and natural explanation, but instead insists on a supernatural one... The reason people turn to supernatural explanations is that the mind abhors a vacuum of explanation."

So let us break things down for you! :p The title is a bit misleading too. There was no counter proof; only a "most plausible hypothesis".

It's perfectly civilized to have a dialogue/exchange! But you're right; people often take it a step further. After all, you can't cut off somebody's nose and then hand them a rose to smell. ;)

He has his faith, Ariel. It's just in these scientists. He's assuming they have all their facts right, and that they have all the facts necessary to actually prove what he's asserting. He's simply putting his faith in these men, what few they are. He's also only citing people that agree with one another on these things. I'm sure he can't even see what he's doing, that his faith has been put in these men. He assumes all their assertions are correct. He doesn't know any of this is true by himself. He's depending entirely on their say-so.

Notice how there are no human or mammal fossils at the bottom of the
geologic column. All it would take is one fossil out of order and evolution
could be disproved. However, the geologic column reflects exactly what
evolution predicts - the gradual rise of complexity.

Man was created on the 6th day. Also, I'm ASSUMING this chart of yours is accurate.

Yes I believe in the Christian God on faith alone.

What kind of evidence do you require? You could visit a museum, paleontologist, biologist, etc. There's loads
of other info on the internet.

I am a female and I don't have faith in science. I am actually looking at the evidence
and trying to understand it. Faith is defined as belief without evidence.
