I just want to vent.
Sometimes I'll go to give a person a 'reputation' dealy wheely, but in response I get a msg to the effect of

'you must spread around some reps before you can give 'So-and-So' another rep'.

This strikes me as a form of Socialism (hehe) rather than a system of where credit is given where credit is due.

(whew) vent over.

It's some sort of intrinsic inhibition per vBulletin. I run into the same thing on other forums based off of vBulletin software.

Lol @ the Socialism remark.

Ya i hate it when I am wanting to give someone rep but it gives me that message. I also hate it when it says I have given to much rep i have to wait another 24 hours to give more. How dare they cut me off:/

I've had people give me a rep point, but I don't see them. It doesn't bother me though. I know this isn't what you're thread is about ,sorry.

Well I like the rep button the best because if i like their post i will like it but if i love it i give them rep. I also hate when i get rep but don't know who it is from or why they gave it so what i do is when i give rep I say from Blain: And tell them why i gave the rep point. Plus it's like an awseome gift you give to people so I like to give it often even if for no real reason

You could totally fix your reputation spreading issue by giving me rep... (I don't mind waiting 24 hours, either). :p

If you click on the little sheriff's badge-looking icon, in between "Blog this Post" and the "/!\" on a users comment, it will add to their reputation - which is the set of green bars underneath their username.

Don't cross that note! Ha! Ha!

I'm not living this out in a country who believes the lie she is living "socialism", and I wish the world could see the many who played the boot lickers. These are those who long to kiss Fidel Castro's boots to receive some bread and partake in the benefits of the social and administrative corruption of this nation.

I dont see any of that but im on my phone
Try looking down at the bottom of the page and look for a 'full site/mobile site' option. Choose the 'full site ' and then check for the rep button near the bottom of a post.

Screw power to the people, reps to the proletarian class!

The rep restriction I believe is limited so you can't just sit there and rep the heck out of one person. And they somehow count on the 'rep power' figure. The green dots I believe have to do with the number of posts the person has made. Same with the seniority title.

Some day I would love for someone who actually knows it to create a post explaining exactly what these things are and how they are figured. I've seen lots of theories but no actual concrete data.
