Hello,

what will happen if a chatter dies? Can you write a "last will" or something like that? What should one do with the threads or blogs?

They won't be around to close their account, or get booted/have their posts disappear...?

I guess if we can verify their death, we could make some sort of note.
But often the whole i'm dead thing ends up being some sort of scam from trouble makers.
So we'd need a very solid verification of death before we implemented something like this.
For the most part if someone dies, their account obviously isn't accessed by them, and their lack of activity is perceived as another of the many unused accounts. Their posts settle toward the back of the forums.

Stilly, I noticed on Jaggers profile after he had passed away that he had a note on his profile saying "May he rest in peace." I know we won't be able to keep up with everyone as that is impossible. However, if others can verify it if they are connected through other media means, I think it may be a great idea.

I changed the user title for Jaggers after his untimely demise. Of course in the circumstances of Jaggers, his death was verifiable through multiple users that knew him in real life.
