This thread is a good reason for Christians to avoid politics. The thing with the end of times talk kind of amuses me since he comes when you least expect it.

Be careful little children that this hate doesn't fill you hearts.

Actually if he is the anti-christ shouldn't we be happy that we are called for this time.

I saw someone talking about alot of young Christians being called because their could be a great persecution about to take place, well the bible says that when you are persecuted you should rejoice for great is your reward in heaven.

Wow...Don't you think you are a little bias in your views? How about praying for our leaders; that may be more constructive. Don't you think that if God did't want Obama to be your president, that he wouldn't be. SOmething to think about. Maybe your president needs your prayers rather than your sharp critisim.

Pulling out all the conspiracy theories tonight, aren't they?

1. President Obama's Hawaiian birth certificate has been verified by the Health Director in Hawaii. His birth certificate has been made public. Two newspapers from 1961 (Honolulu Advertiser and the Honolulu Star-Bulletin) have birth notices for him in them. The birth notices come directly from Hawaii's Department of Health.

2. About the "heroin" thing, Afghan poppy farmers are being taught to grow different crops like pomegranates and wheat by the coalition.

You know what, nevermind. Cup-of-Ruin, your sources are unreliable. Even Ann Coulter, even Bill O'Reilly, and oh my, even Michelle Malkin laugh at "birthers" (cute name for those who believe Obama wasn't born in the US). And you, MaggieMye, the original post was very mean-spirited, and not at all appropriate for a Christian.

It should be obvious that Obama isn't the Anti-Christ.

His teleprompter, on the other hand...

I think Americans call Obama the anti-christ due to culture-shock because of having a president who is intelligent, black, good looking, can speak the english language well, and generally knows what he's talking about.

God says pray for your Christian leaders, not for lying fraudsters!

God also says that if people disobey Him He will hand them over to be ruled by their enemies, but then again maybe Obama is not your enemy, maybe he is your true leader and you approve of this, something to think about...

we've discussed this before but God really does say pray for whoever is in leadership. Obama is a very nice man. Just like all those Jews you love Cup of Ruin.

Well actually it appears that Barry Soetoro AKA Barak Hussein Obama has not hired enough lawyers, I know he has about 100 of them working round the clock, but they have still made a few errors with their attempt at forgery. Don't worry the real Christians will take care of this.

That's Christian leadership we pray for, not alot of that around at the present time, if you want to pray for anti-christ fraudsters then go right ahead.

I don't know if it was your intention, but please don't insinuate that Americans are ignorant racists. If you MUST insinuate it, try to do it more subtly.

Being an American myself, with sources on the ground, I think a lot of my ilk mistake Obama for an Anti-Christ figure because of the intense adoration he inspires in people abroad, and for a long time his religious preferences were ambiguous.

Long story short: some folks mistake media savvy for supernatural evil...but really, who can blame them?

1 Timothy 2

Instructions on Worship

1I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone— 2for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 3This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. 5For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,

1. For everyone
2. For kings
3. For those in authority

There are no kings in churches. And the kings that lived during Paul's time were NOT Christians and saints. So I reckon he had them praying for some pretty corrupt gov't leaders.

And just in case you're KJV only..

1 Timothy 2

1I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
2For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
3For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
4Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

We're only supposed to pray for Christians???

My Jesus said in Matthew 5

43"You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor[h] and hate your enemy.' 44But I tell you: Love your enemies[i] and pray for those who persecute you, 45that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? 47And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? 48Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

Just in case you're KJV only...... :D

44But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; 45That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

Also Jesus said to give to Caesar what is Caesar. Caesar was corrupt.

Bottom line, Jesus doesn't draw a dichotomy between praying for believers and non-believers. We're to pray for all.

What?

Are we talking Sermon on the Mount?

What?

It appears that you are of miss-understanding????

Are you having trouble with what Jesus meant?

He is talking to His people...

the context of what he is saying should be obvious it is to unsaved unbelievers:

4who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth
