Because Jesus Christ is the one with the power. It was by His name alone that I had an evil spirit cast out of me and had my life transformed. Perhaps you should try it, that is, if you're not intimidated to ask Christians to lay hands on your shoulders and pray to cast evil spirits out in the name of Jesus Christ.
How does that prove the other gods are false? Couldn't they all be real and have power as well?

Have evil spirits ever been determined to actually exist? Reason tells me that it's something that's just made up.
Sorry, I don't believe in ghosts. If you have sufficient evidence to provide that proves evil spirits or any spriit
actually exist I'm all ears but until then I must reject the claim.

I didn't ask you to believe in anything. I asked you to go out and do you. You want your evidence? Go out and get it. If you're too intimidated to ask a Christian or two to lay hands on you and pray to have evil spirits cast out in the name of Jesus Christ, just say so.
I have no problem having someone lay hands on me but first it must be determined, instead of assumed,
that I actually have evil spirits dwelling inside of me. This probably isn't the case because from all the knowledge
and common sense I've acquired it's reasonable to count "spirits" out until there is actual evidence for them.
If you were lethally sick would you have faith that Christians putting their hands on you and praying would heal
you or would you go to a doctor?

I'd like to chime in here.
Atheism is the absense of religion, basically the absense of faith. It's taking the default position in a claim saying that we are not convinced that x is true, so i will reject it UNTIL there is is sufficient evidence for it. Therefore, atheism is not a religion, it's the "not guilty" verdict.
Now as for "ALL ATHEISTS BELIEVE EVERYTHING CAME FROM NOTHING DERRPPPP", that's not true. Atheism has nothing to do with the origins of the universe or the origins of life, it simply is the absense of the belief in god: thats it. I don't know why people assosiate atheism and science.
But i'll play the game thats happening here. I'll admit i dont know if anything came from nothing: it could very well be that something has always existed for eternity. However, now that i agree for the sake of arguement that something cannot come from nothing, how does that prove a god? It's the arguement from ignorance saying: i can't think of any other way of this happening, therefore god. It's more ridiculous to go to magic then to "something for nothing". So please lets not bring that up again ok kiddies?
To be intellectually honest with yourself is to look at what you velieve in and ask "could this be for another reason?". "Is god even required for their to be a universe?". There very well is a good explanation of how the universe and life originated, so now there isn't a "must be a god anymore". Back then, people equated everything they didn't know about to god, known as the god of the gaps arguement, and slowly shyed away from that as we investigated things. So now, it's even more important that we investigate "is there truly a god?" And a better question "is it the christian god?".
Im happy to have a nice convo about this with anyone
