I've been thinking that I need to say something profound, so someone feels the
need/desire to use it in their signature. I am just not that profound.:(

So I have a friend who is being lied to by a guy she likes. She's totally blind to it. However, there are a few of us who see the problem and can see she's being lied to. Now, do we have a little intervention or let her continue with the guy?

No, just pool your money together and hire a hit man. :D It's much more effective. Or you can call Dr. Phil and schedule them for a show. :)

Seriously though, have an intervention if you guys really think she needs one.

"Hey man, we know you're full of it, and we don't like that you're lying to our friend. You come clean, or we tell her. Your choice."

A good woman to find, dyingdailyHis, is like a fine wine, is aged to perfection, is perfect to swirl(swirling wine in a wine glass like in wine tasting, I think they do that, I don't know, I never been, I don't drink, much), is expensive to have, and, is like some very nice bottles of wine as in a perfect complement to your tastes, is able to go with different things complementary to your things (is good at what you ain't, in other words, and, good at what you are, too), is that which money can't buy, is,then, therefore, priceless :)

Time to go to bed, I've derailed this thread enough now, wait, I have not !!!

Talking about miladies, all 'fine wine,' is NEVER deraling, it's already right on topic, perfection as they are in the making even though they already are perfect in God's eyes by just following Him :) The Lord leads. God bless all miladies, Lord, they on c.c. so want to follow Thy will, for it, above all else, to be done in their lives, to go to Sunday School and find a right guy in their constant learning more and more of you, knowing you more, your greatness, your power, your ways for their life.

This summer !!! Find miladies Thy man for them, if it be Thy will, Lord, and, this I pray, and, that they see that you KNOW best, if it not be so, for you are ALL there's FAther :)

See, that's my style. Straight and to the heart of the matter.

I've considered this but it won't work. He's an expert manipulator and I think he knows I'm onto him. He's joked around how I can see through him. Last time he said this to me I said very calmly, "Oh yes, I can." He got very quiet and changed the subject.

I think it might be hopeless for her because she's already told him how she feels. She's a sweet, caring young woman who trusts too much too fast. He's a rebellious bad boy who seems to think he's entitled. Confrontation won't work with him. That's why I thought maybe the plea should be made to her.

Both of them are Christians but she actually reads and studies. He does not. He knows the right words though so he sounds good. He's very selfish but she thinks the world of him. Like most women she's playing the part of Psyche, blind to the truth.

Talk to her about it....tell her what the deal is. I had to do that with two of my friends at one point. I happened to know both of the girls really well before my friends had met them (actually dated one of them for a short time). I told them honestly what the girls were like and that they were both bad news (Lying/manipulative types). Neither believed me of course and both proceeded to get schooled by them. Some people have to learn those things about people on their own but at least I did my duty there. Your obligated to tell your friend what the truth is if you think they're ignorant....after that, it's better to stay out of it.

Tell her she cant be his savior
She can't take the place of Christ in his life
The man was created to lead
The woman was created to follow
The devil tries to get people to do the opposite to Mock God
God didn't create us to do anything the opposite of his design
While Love may cover a multitude of sins, Love don't make a wrong a right.
When Jesus said no one hath more love than he who would give his life for another
He didn't mean to suppose one should sacrifice their salvation for another.
Christ and Gods will come first, not ours

I'm so into being straight forward and honest....I'm not good at hinting at things or talking about things in a round about way. :/ I'd say to get them both together and confront him while telling her all at the same time. Then two different stories will come out and you can hear his lies and she can hear your side and then decide for herself. After that, it's all up to her to believe you or him. Just so you know though, she'll most likely choose him.

I agree with Catlynn, that she'll most likely chose him. She may have to learn the hard way, which is sad and I hate seeing my friends get hurt, but unfortunately when it comes to love sometimes we see the person through rose colored glasses until we get sick of it.

Hey Aimee! Been in situations similar to yours. Unfortunately, the person usually chooses the person they are loopy for over God or reason,or at the plea of their friends. :( It will eventually come out that he's been lying/manipulative,whatever & she'll be devastated & come running back to her circle of close friends saying how right everyone was & how she should have listened. 90% of the times I've witnessed this same thing. All you can do is be honest...say what needs to be said if God is telling you to confront her & then let it go. You did what you had to...the rest is up to her. You know all this though.

Good morning BTW everyone/anyone!

Did my eyes deceive me,or did I really see a post from Midnite? lol Howdy stranger!

I agree, Aimee- prolly the girl will end up learning the hard way. That's how I always was, friends or family would warn me about something, and I would just ignore them. Actually, most times, being warned NOT to do what I was doing only fueled the fire and made me want to do whatever it was even more. I worry that this girl may do that, but if she's truly Christian, maybe...MAYBE...she will be better able to hear the truth than I ever was, and maybe she won't have to get burned to learn not to play with fire.

This is my problem with "Christian" it's a term that seems to carry some kind of weight all on it's own just the word. Sorry Aimee, I can dig you wanting desperately to save your girlfriend from some pain. When you face a manipulator you can be honest and upfront all you want. This only works with other honest and upfront people though. It's going to be your word and his word. Just let the man hang himself and be there for your friend along the way and pray hard! God will expose this guy.
