Here was my thought last night... if we as sinners sin.. and we ask for forgiveness and mean 100% of repentance.. we know the Lord will forgive us and forget it.. why is it hard as humans to forgive ourselves when the one whose opinion most matters was able to forgive us before a blink of an eye?

Spent time with sis and fam over weekend, was fun, my nephew, 13, and, niece, 6, went to shop for dad and grandpa and had fun in a puzzle shop and 7 other exotic color shops and my niece got her dad a mosquito bracelet, she just liked that for her dad, didn't really say why, guess since they live on a lake, there are mosquitos there so just seems a bit profound that a 6 year old can think that much through, she's a smart kid and quite the birdy voice, with maya angelou thrown in too, she's poetic in her singing is what's meant there, I read 'I know why the caged birds sing' in high school my senior year, never did like it then but I know maya anglou can write, I was just into other things no matter how good the writing was and she really could/can write, not sure biblical aspect but I just remember she was so scared she peed her pants in some early part of the book because I never read past halfway, my mind was on soccer in high school, not girls and not books, I must have got an 'F' in that class, American Lit., hmm, never thought about it, no, wait, no 'F's' ever in HS. Whew, was getting scared there, I did get a 'D' or three though, I remember, I always teased the teacher in algebra, me and another guy, we really should not have done that but we did, and, we both got worse grades because of it. Again, I was into soccer in 9th grade at this time, algebra was, hmmm, for the birds :D

Im not done yet, we went to the arcade and played games where you get tickets for doing well in a game, like chuck e cheese, if you're familiar. we also played mini golf and my neph and niecee were good to each other, they are not sometimes so was nice to be able to enjoy time with them. we walked all over ocean shores and then went and ate chinese food and jumped on the trampoline and i tried to jump low, jump high, say , and, then do arm cheers up in the air (one at a time) while saying 'go, go, go.' God is good. It was quite the challenge but fun, my niecee can really think things up to do, and, she DEMANDS that uncle do them just sooo, too. Not easy, I will remind you :D
My neph still has his grades to get, and, I had a talk with him a month ago, I told him to really try hard not to get 'F' grades , and 'D' not good either but I told him too I got a 'D' or two in 7th grade and went on after 7th and 8th grade completed to get on the high honor roll . So, just because you may be struggling now--and he's smart as a whip, extroverted as all get out, and can tell joke after joke to you-- was what I told him you hang in there, and, don't forget God, and, you work hard and do your best and keep on keeping on. And, keep on all the time thinking of God, put HIm everywhere, not just your morning prayers, evening prayers. Because He is there :)

Oh, one last thing, my niecee said while we were eating dinner, after having gone gift shopping for dads and arcadeing and golfing, 'This is the best day ever.' That was nice to hear. I am sure of one thing, although it's hard to understand sometimes, God is ALWAYS the best ever :)

Today was not an injury free day for my family. Or a sass free day for my Children. My husband sprained his ankle, but he's OK. My daughter was playing with a friends boomerang and accidentally hit my son in the mouth with hit. My daughter slipped on a hill at the park and hurt her behind. I whacked my head on an open cabinet door so hard I thought I knocked my brains out of my head.

Summer in my house seems to mean a lot of injuries, I'm so glad for Neosporin and Band-Aids. But being able to stay outside later and let the kids play is wonderful. We visit a lot of playgrounds and parks and Zoo's during the summer. We have a park here that when it was planned the landscape architect modeled after central park. I love that park, it's beautiful. We also have a state park called Presque Isle, there are beaches and trails to walk on. When I go to either place it gives me a sense of peace. I'm not a huge fan of swimming at the beach but sitting on the beach when it's quiet is so peaceful.

Ya know what? You wanna screw up a good thing? Go ahead. You wanna behave like a child? Go ahead. You wanna pretend that what you're doing isn't stupid? Go ahead. You wanna choose yourself over the "most important thing in your life"? Go ahead.

I don't understand why you think your decisions are a good idea. It's very apparent by the last two times you tried this EXACT THING it didn't work out... so why are you trying again? Hmm, let's see. What do all three of these extremely similar situations have in common? That would be you! For goodness sake, are you that blind?! Have you really chosen to repeat this process? Did you not tell me over and over that you need to do a list of things you had been praying about first? And yet, here you go, doing the exact opposite. Again.

I love you, I've known you almost forever, and I'd love to keep you in my life. My heart breaks for you because this will blow up. This will fall apart. And then where will you be? In pain and worse for the wear. But this is who you are. You rebel against anything, you think you know what you're doing, you hide. I know you. You've said it yourself. I know you better than just about anyone. And yet you won't listen to me.

I wish you'd listen.

And here's another thing. You only contact me when you want something from me. It's getting old.

You're too concerned about YOU. You want me to listen to you talk about stuff you shouldn't be doing. You ask my opinion about that, however, and then you don't like my answer.

I have feelings too. I need to talk too. I have major stuff going on in my life too.

I tell you what's going on, but do you ever ask me about it later? Nope.

Have you asked about the fact I have to have a biopsy? Nope.

Have you asked me about my classes? Nope.

Have you started out a conversation asking me about my life? Nope.

It's all about you.

In sincerety, God has begun the good work in you and completed it in your new Spirit God gave you in your new heart, being that the hidden Holy Ghost of your heart, where all that beleive serve in the Spirit not the flesh
Flesh is not yet redeemed so when one sins, it is with the unredeemed flesh, and no longer you that does it, it the the flesh that is not born again, that is why we are called to discern between flesh and Spirit, and walk in the Spirit of God where no sin occurs hope that helps your ? romans 7 and Gal 5

I feel like we sometimes tend to make fun of new things, instead of adapting to them in order to spread the Gospel. I grew up in a certain time period in a certain part of American culture before there were things like Twitter or Facebook. Or even many of the technologies we have today. There are new things in the world. There is also now a younger generation trying to figure itself out. At 21, me and my peers aren't the new kids on the block anymore. Churches aren't trying to race to my generation and get us before the world does. Their aim is a new, younger set of people. And my goodness are they different from what us 90s kids were like, in so many ways.

And it seems to me that we tend to make fun of the trends of these new kids, these Millennials. Their trends and slang may sound silly (Yolo! Swag!) to us... but would words like "Sike!" sound equally weird to them? And we discredit very real issues they are facing - homosexuality, as an example - with vague logic and an all-around refusal to address this society. I feel like this is a really big issue. Instead of mocking and down-playing the world of this younger generation, we need to take it seriously. We don't have to like everything, of course. I'm probably not going to become a Justin Bieber fan. But we need to take these seriously, if we ever want to see Christianity become a major part of these younger people.

That would make a great thread!

I was reading fen's post and she talked about her niece slipping on a hill and hurting her bazooze. I slipped on a step walking last week and went straight down so quickly I barely had time to catch myself, I really didn't catch myself, my back whammed into the step but....

...I had on a thick Woolrich shirt on top of a regular shirt and this helped considerably cushion my fall. But, also, I got my arm slammed down quickly and it wrenched my shoulder socket some but, yes, here is what I wanted to talk about, and, I think the combination of my just throwing my arms down as my back FULLY did hit the step did something positive too, for my back was only sore for a few minutes and better. My forearm, where it most hit the step, has a bruise still that's recovering. But, what I wanted to say, wait for it, wait for it.... (can't you picture that Centurylink commercial, where the dude says 'Wait for it, wait for it' and then a plane comes and bombs the '$19.99' in big stone letters, which, of course, don't even suffer a mark D: )

I used to have fun with my cousins when I was younger, they were 3,5,7,9 and I was 21. I would take them to the park and we would roll down the hill, but, not rolling until, we fell.....

I taught them how to fall. Whenever you are going to fall in a situation, remember to put your arms out. So, we would be walking down this grassy hill and I would say, 'OK, fall, and roll, remember, use your hands, and, protect your head at all costs.'

Years later, they still remind me of that time I taught them how to fall. But, sometimes, life just happens, like my slipping on a step, the step wasn't even wet either, I just caught it at the tip, and, my shoe slipped off it. I'm not bragging, I'm athletic, I've been told before I should have played pro soccer, but just didn't, too many injuries kept me from being able to play soccer at a high level, and, I say, just me. I was just failing to keep my relationship with God best, and, I believe, truly, that one must put God FIRST in whatever you are doing, because He has you doing it, and, my decision to watch movies not perfect, sneak into movies not perfect, to see church as a afterthought while I was in college and just generally be choosing worldly things over His things for me, hurt me in respect of ever 'getting' to play professional soccer. So, anyway, God is good, He has His plans for us and our ACTIONS do influence what happens in our lives. I do know that I have ALWAYS accepted God's things in my life, I know He is there, and, though I am being lukewarm, He is spitting me out, but I am, 'like Cain,' seeing that 'God, you're punishment is too great,' and God listens. I don't know IF like Cain I will then go an 'build a city,' but ya never know.........

The Lord leads :)

I don't like feeling so angry. I keep getting it under control, and then something else happens.

Just wanted to let all of you know, as of tomorrow I will be out of state and, for the most part, without Internet connection. Therefore I won't be on here for about a week.

I've had days like that. They suck. :( I used to be very good at not getting angry but I forget exactly how I did it.

You ever see a kid act up in a store and think, boy that kid's parents don't know how to control him or her? Yeah I would think that too sometimes. Not saying that's not always the truth, but when you see a parent struggling with a child in the store, kid wants a toy, parent says no. Kid has a melt down. Do you think the parent really wants this scene? I can tell you from first hand experience, they don't.

I used to be one of those people who thought I could do it better as a parent. You don't know what it's like until you're responsible for a child 24/7. You can say, well spank them, or do this or that. But you don't know how you're going to deal with it until it happens. It's hard and stressful and you have to do what works for your child.

If you had a child with Autism would you hit them when they acted out? I hope not, that would be the worst thing to do. I'm going to say it again, until you're responsible for a child 24/7 you don't know what you would do, period. Every child is different and one way may not work for another.

Thank you and good evening.

I used to be that way, too, Fenner. I'd see these frazzled moms walking through the store with a screaming child in the cart and think, "What is WRONG with that woman? Why doesn't she just take that poor kid home and let him have a nap?!"

...then I moved here, had kids, and found out that just does not always work. When I take my son to the store with me, he's usually good. Usually. Sometimes, he starts throwing things out of the cart or crying, and it IS stressful. And when I tell him no, it makes it worse. And I feel like everyone I pass is mad at me. But I can't just leave and let him take a nap, because that's a 60 mile (round trip) excursion, and it only happens twice a month.

I used to judge mothers who were dragging an obviously tired or sick kid around to do errands. And then I had to do it. I had to go to the DMV with my 6 month old son (er...he's not 6 months NOW, but when he WAS). And the woman at the DMV was very rude, and my son kept crying no matter what I did, and people were staring, and when I finally got to the counter, I found out I didn't have the right document, and had to go hunt it down, came back, waited, finally got to the counter and found out I didn't have something ELSE I needed. The woman was glaring at me. She lectured me. She pretty much told me I was a bad mom and human being, and she said, "I'm going to just accept this document even though it's not the right one because I'm tired of seeing you torture that poor baby."

I don't judge parents anymore. If I see a mom at the store with a crying baby or kid, I'll try to sneakily make funny faces at the kid to calm them down. Sometimes it works.

Wow, Misscriss that woman at the DMV was awful. Those are the people that, I wish them a crying baby in the middle of busy restaurant filled with dating couples and grumpy people. That's my secret wish for people like that.
