This is a great question, but seeing as I'm not getting any younger... and already had one husband walk out on me for someone else... I am undecided about having children. It would really have to be a stable, God-fearing, solid marriage to convince me... yes, I realize anything could happen (death, etc.), but my biggest fear would be being left behind again... this time with children.

I admire all the single parents out there because they are obviously so strong.

I don't want to have my own children. I want to adopt as many as God wills. God has given me a heart for foster kids I can't ignore. I pray my husband feels the same.

I hope you are talking about the ones that nobody wants? Those poor children need love.

That is truly awesome, Rissa. May God bless the desire of your heart and give you a spouse who feels the same way.

I'm adopted myself and am so grateful that my parents felt the way they did about adopting. This fall, I'm going to work at several orphanages overseas... I'm looking forward to it because I feel in my heart that God is allowing me to pay back a small part of what I was given.

I'm #4 of 6, and while not all of us were at home at the same time, I can't imagine having a small family. I think 3 kids is enough.

Of course! He's also granted me patience with difficult children. It'll be hard, but when it's God leading the way, it won't be too hard for me and my husband to handle. I've always liked a challenge. lol

How wonderful! I hope you can make a differance for some childrens lives. Usualy they just need to feel loved.

Actually I would say they need God. I mean God=Love. Yes being loved by people is nice but humanly love fades away. With God there is a love that passes all understanding I mean we could never begin to comprehend.

Now back to the main point lol. Im thinking about 2 or 3 but you know it's all in Gods hands and I will love whatever children and give me if any!!!

Ok, umm lol... EIGHT!
Hahaha, I used to be serious about that cos I grew up watching '8 is enough' (for all you oldies who know what that is) but since I am alas still single I think unless I am robotic, it will almost be a biological miracle which I dont want to perform!!
SO, realistically speaking, I would like 2.....but who knows if I will get the chance to.....

I remember 8 is Enough... (I guess I'm an oldie :).)

I always thought Tommy (Willie Aaames) was cute. ;)

STILL not enough to convince me to want 8 kids though. If I never have children... I plan to do volunteer work involved children... that and I always have friends who are happy to lend theirs out. :)

hahaha thats so funny! I think I wanted that many kids because there was only my sister and I at the time and most of my cousins were 20 years older than me, so a big family looked so much fun in comparison!

i want five, i have one brother but lots of cousins so i was always surrounded by them. and i have a feeling ill end up with twin boys but im told i could handle it because i have then "enegry" for it more than anything i have God for it
