I find ppl like you to be nothing more than an irritant. Always think you are right and finding verses to comfort yourself with, I am not judging you, boy, God has you under judgement and that is what makes you so hateful, plus Satan is your Lord now having you think he is jesus.

no I will agree with you on that won't save me but I agree with scriptures that, this shows that I am saved.

We started out by you twisting what I had said, do you deny it? So it was you who judged me when I defended God's position on tongues, and then I showed you how Satan use tongues mixed with the appearance of righteousness. Again you accused me of being in error and implied that i am illiterate. Then when I resisted you, you took the defensive position, twisting again, Just like you stated, With twisting.
The now you add a verse that even Satan can quote, And you say that that proves you are saved, I do not think so! If you had truth and were saved why do you play games with scripture. Or with other ppls feeling and minds. I tested you spirit, and it is top heavy, and thick like syrup. This is true: (Lk 6:38) Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. As as the Lord says, I should love my enemy too, So there I love you too! And I wish for you to go to heaven in the rapture.
But I am not stupid, you never know when you might meet someone who has the holy ghost, be careful how you speak to ppl.It is not something one can say in a few words, I suggest if you really want to know and are not just playing football games, go to familyradio.com and get the phone number and call up for the free book "The end of the church age and after." Even if you do not believe it, there is still a lot of information pertaing to the bible that may be of some benefit to you.
I was asked several years ago to be part of a Bible Study that met once a week and had grown from about (10) people in a home to over (400) that met in a rented auditorium. There were people from all over and many denominations that would come, including Catholics and Charismatics. They came because they loved the Lord and were hungry for His word. I participated in this gathering for over (2) years as a lay person and witnessed many beautiful things that God did at these services and in the lives of those who came.
The word of God and the Holy Spirit was so precious that many were delivered and healed from strongholds and many things that they had been afflicted with for years and some their entire life. I personally sensed the presence of God in the midst of this gathering and sometimes we would sit quietly praying before God and just let Him minister and set people free. At every service we had from 5-20 visitors and I can't remember a single service when someone did not respond and accept Jesus Christ publicly. I visited many of these people over that (2) years and some of the backgrounds that they came from would leave us amazed but thankful for the greatness of God's mercy and grace.
At the meetings, during the times of worship, people were permitted to exercise their gifts freely and they did quite often, which included the gift of tongues. No one was ever forbidden or restrained from doing so and it was always done decently and in order with a few exceptions. The pastor that had started this Bible study years prior came faithfully to teach them the word of God and had a great love for them. I know this because I was in the midst of it. There were (2) specific instances that happened during worship that involved the gift of tongues being exercised.
For several weeks their was a family that came (a mother with her son and daughter that were both adults), they were really precious people with a great love in their heart, but they spoke in tongues every week and interpreted their own tongue with the same message with a few little changes. Some at the gathering did not understand why they were permitted to do this every week and some of the visitors, that I visited at their homes, did not respond to it favorable and got discouraged by it. So I was asked by the pastor to speak with them about this. It was a delicate thing to do because you did not want to offend them. I told them that some visitors that wanted to continue to come to the meetings had been offended by the gift of tongues that was exercised and I asked them and others to refrain for awhile so that these visitors could continue to come and hear the word of God. In a very loving manner and in a spirit of cooperation they agreed and were not offended.
Another time during the worship, when we had almost (500) people in attendance, a visitor exercised their gift of tongues and there was no interpretation. After the service a man who was attending came up to the pastor and myself with a concern about the worship time. This man was very meek but thought we should know and told us that the tongue that was spoken was in his native language and he did not interpret the tongue because of the message. We asked him what the message was. He told us that the tongue had actually cursed God in a way that he did not want to repeat, and he was upset over it but waited until after the meeting to tell us. The pastor told him that he was right on because God had given him discernment but he did not want to disrupt the meeting and thanked the man for the confirmation. It never happened again and no one knew except the three of us until several came up later to tell us that they were uncomfortable with it also but were not quite sure why.
I am not slamming the gift of tongues but I am saying that there is a counterfeit, that counterfeit is not from God and it is designed to disrupt the worship of the church and to bring in a strange spirit to disrupt people so that they will not hear the word of God. This pastor preached many times about the gifts of the Spirit, including tongues, but never had been given that gift. He had planted several churches here in the states and founded a missionary Bible School that had trained up and sent out over (200) missionaries in groups to more than (50) countries as part of the outreach and work of the ministry.
A conference was set up at one of the European countries where a team of missionaries has been sent. English was the second language but many did not understand the English language. Many of the local people had their doubts and remained in unbelief as to the work of God that was going on in their country. During their visit they were in prayer and God spoke to the pastor and told him to speak in the people's tongue. He did not know one word of their language and was very hesitant. God spoke to him telling him they needed a sign and tongues was going to be it. He told the pastor that you have trusted me all these years and you have preached about the gifts and now I want you to speak in their language. His reply was, why don't you just give me an interpreter and I will do it that way. If not then give me a promise and I'll do it. So God gave him Psalm 81:10. 'I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it'. So he did and God filled it.
They were all edified with this unconventional message and built up in what they needed to hear. There was no need for an interpreter because they all understood perfectly in their own language. One came up to him after who could speak English telling him that it was the purest form of their tongue they had ever heard. This happened one more time at a later date and that was it. The pastor never spoke in a national tongue again and (25) years later went home to be with the Lord since. This pastor, in his early days, was saved and trained up in a Baptist Church that did not believe or teach in the gift of any tongue being given to any believer, national or otherwise but became a non-denominational minister for the last 38-40 years of his life.
I gave this true story as an example of a gift of national tongues that was given to a pastor for a church and for others in unbelief at two different times. I was not there and can not be considered a witness, but I did hear from more than three witnesses that all gave the same account.

I know what Harold Camping teaches on the church age but my question is to you personally. Why do you believe the church age is over? Now you have possession of the ball and it is first down and 10 to go. You better run some go plays if you expect to get a first down on me. Just having fun, sir.
You are an older man and I am treat you with respect, but how are you entreating me or others with the kind of response you have been giving. I asked you a simple question and you could have refused to answer it with a civil response. If you were offended by my jesting, then I apologize for that, but if not then you have a duty to all men to be civil minded and to think evil of none. If you want me to give you the scriptures on that I will and there are plenty.
For all you know I could have more light in terms of truth and experiential knowledge in my little finger then you have in your whole body and that includes Harold Camping as well. So don't be so presumptuous in your attitude toward others because presumption is a great transgression (Ps 19:13). If you want to belittle people and treat people like scoundrels I suggest you keep company with those that think as you do. If not then start by being civil minded with those that you have en changes with, whether they agree with you or not. Sarcasm can be understood on occasions but berating people has nothing to do with the mind of Christ, unless you think everyone is a some kind of Pharisaical religious fanatic.

Well, BLC, I am not a sir, so no need to patronize me. Like I said, if you want to have fun using the bible, go play with a Muslim, The bible is serious and not to be toyed with. So far not anyone here seems t hear what the spirit says to the churches, you all seem to go on beating on a dead horse. The tongue movement is a dead horse, and I do not have to take any guff from anyone that is going to try and run my spirit down. I rather be right for Christ then for the wrong doctrine.
I think it's a bit hypocritical for a non-tongues speaker to tell tongue-speakers when and how to use the gift if they have no idea of what it is like to use it. But I'd gladly watch or listen to you speak in tongues as you demonstrate to all of us tongue-speakers how it is supposed to be done.

as I have posted before let me share this again, many people twist 1cor 13:8 and say that the Bible teaches that tongue and prophecy has ceased: 1co 13:8Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.1co 13:9For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.1co 13:10But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
and Clearly it does say that they will cease but it also tell us in verse 10 when they will cease " when that which is perfect is come" now some will say that this was when Jesus came as a Babe in the manger, but this can't be bibical because Jesus prophecized about His death, many will say that that which was perfect came as the Holy Spirit at pentecost, but bibical prophecy had not ceased at pentecost for Phillip prophecized to paul after pentecost.

I did have one Bible scholar tell me that which is perfect come, meant when the perfect translation. of scriptures was published, but everyone is still revising the scriptures , coming up with New and improved translations or as I would claim preversions of the Bible.( give me that good ole King James Bible)

I'd have to say Reformed churches are pretty stale when it comes to the things of the Spirit. Lots of theological arguments and saying what's what, but little experience. I even discussed healing with one pastor and he had no clue what I was talking about. This is despite scripture saying in James to call for the elders and they will lay hands on you and heal you.
I have even witnessed such people mock and insult the Spirit. Don't think that the problem is a mere rejection of the gifts.
