This will be a Poll.

If an attractive stranger requests your friendship on facebook and they have only 1 mutual friend (a friend who is related but who you barely know), should you accept it??

If I don't know you, I don't trust the request.

That is very close minded.

You have to be a stranger to someone before you meet them, no matter what the setting is that you meet them.

I think I would ask the other friend a little about the stranger first or take a look at her FB page before accepting.

They're probably a spammer. Either way they're probably fake. So, no. I wouldn't.

No, it's not.

It's called a FRIEND request, so a request to become friends. You have to get to know each other first before you can become friends. That's why I would never accept such a request from a stranger on FB.

Not that I use FB btw: it's a waste of my time, besides the CIA owns it.

I have made many good friends by accepting requests on facebook. nothing is wrong with it.

The CIA arent going to come into your house and take your job because you accepted a pretty girls friend request.

Trust me.

I don't accept friend requests from anyone I don't know in person, OR that I don't know fairly well from CC. Sometimes, not even then.

Because people are horrible.

Trust you? See... that's where internet contacts go wrong in the first place... :p

Anyway, that's not the reason.

This is why I only accept friendships from ugly strangers.

Re: If an attractive stranger requests your friendship on facebook should you accept

9/10, no...it's just spam, a hacker, or fake to some degree anyway...

....if you're feeling kind of desperate and interested ( oi...), message them a couple times and talk to that mutual friend first.

Doesn't matter if they are attractive or not. What matters is that they are a stranger. Regardless of what they look like you should always find out exactly what they want to befriend you for, and use wisdom and discretion- keeping in mind that your facebook doesn't just involved your privacy, but also that of your friends.

I got this from Wikipedia:

A "catfish" is a person who creates fake personal profiles on social media sites -- pretending to be someone more outwardly appealing than his/her true self, by using someone else's pictures and false biographical information. These "catfish" usually intend to trick an unsuspecting person or persons into falling in love with them.

There's hundreds if not thousands of people who do this... so NO. I will not accept a stranger's friend request.
