The traditions of man? What's the traditions of man have to do with God's Laws? Besides, we don't need to know zip about the traditions of men. We only need the word of God which through Christ tell us exactly what He wants from us. You obviously are entirely dependent on what others tell you, having virtually nothing to do with what Christ tells you through scriptures.

Your Avatar says Orthodox Catholic, hence, I assume you are Orthodox Catholic.
Did you read that right? It says that there are TWO traditions mentioned in the bible. The traditions of man and the Traditions of God. The Traditions of God are the Holy Traditions. Protestants follow traditions of men. LUTHERanism CALVINism ect ect. Founded and named after men. Lutherans are FOLLOWERS of MARTIN LUTHER. IS MARTIN LUTHER CHRIST?? NO. Why would they call themselves Lutherans if they didn't follow his ways [his traditions].

Why are you referring to Edward as "Father"??? What about the Lord's instruction:

"Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven." (Matthew 23:9)

Calling Catholics by the title "Father" only gives creedence to their positions. Observance of Sunday is a mandate of the Church of Rome. So,,in reality,,Sunday-keeping churches are Daughters of the their Mother church,,,,,The Church of Rome!

The Leaders of the Catholic church view Protestants as "estranged". Sunday observance will be the uniting point. And the family will be united under the mandate of Rome,,which is the institution and exaltation of Sunday.

Do you call your father "father"? Is Thomas Edison the father of the light bulb? If you think about it, you have probably called other people father too. FOr me it is his title and out of respect I call him Father Edward.

I don't hate Catholics. I don't bash the Catholic church either. In fact I almost joined RCIA several years back, but I could not get past the things I saw which are not in the bible. I saw kneel and bow before statues of men and pray to them. The bible never mentions that deceased saints in Heaven are omniscient (One would need to know what was being said all over the world to hear those prayers offered all over the world and know all the languages spoken in prayer to them.) or able to hear a single prayer.

I talked it over with Father Edward and he said I should go find a protestant church that I felt comfortable in and I did. I now consider the Catholic church in error on praying to the saints.
Well obviously that "priest" you spoke to was an ecumenist heretic and a modernist. I don't know why you are protestant they accept everything there is a member of every denomination that is fine with homosexualism and abortion. The pastors don't preach aginst it either it is rare you will find a pastor that does. Orthodoxy is the only way that people can worship God with upmost clarity and receive grace everything outside the Church is deprived of grace; however, God can grant grace to those who truly love Him, but that person doesn't receive grace from his worship in its self God's direct grace giving is required for this.

I am starting to think you are not a reasonable person and I won't bother you with another post.

"Remember the sabbath day and keep it holy"
"If you love me keep my commandmenys"
"Many say they know me but their actions are aganist me"
"On judgement day the book of laws was opened and people were judged according to what is in it"

MY QUESTION IS WHY ARE PEOPLE REJECTING THE LORDS WILL. WE CARRY OUR BAGS AND SAY WE ARE GOING TO CHURCH ON SUNDAY. SATURDAY HAS NOW BECOME A DAY OF PARTING AND SOCIAL EVENS. WHY? Someone please answer.

BECAUSE SUNDAY IS WHEN MY DAD TOLD ME TO SHOW UP TO CHURCH

I wouldn't address them as "Father".. But,, I understand you doing it. Afterall, you also keep the churchs mandate to observe Sunday the 1st day of the week. So,, it's quite obvious you have great reverence for the priests of the Church of Rome.....Carry on....

considering that "BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH" was apostate Jerusalem who would not come into the new Covenant, seems like the Judaizers (and Millerites et al) are the daughters.

Unreasonable person? How is that? Because I condemn error and only want Truth in the world? Practically everyone today accepts everything and allows error to co-exist with Truth. Don't you agree that God's Truth is the only thing that has a right to exist??

Actually all Protestant churches are products of Rome. All the reformers were former Roman Catholics and therefore all the later reformers had been part of a line of Roman Catholics. The Orthodox Church is the only Church free from Roman heresy.

And they knew in 1 AD to begin calling it A.D.? And the common language was Aramaic.
I said that that term may not have been used at the time. But it is impossible logically, that Christ was born before Himself. Please tell me how He could be born before He was on earth? We can it AD because that is the first year that the world had God on earth. We continue to call it such because He said: I will be with you always, even unto the consummation of the world. He is not absent from the world, if you say so then you fall into Rome's heresy, that's why they say they need a vicar of Christ, one who takes the place of Christ.

There has been no more horrendous example of persecuting followers of Christ than the Catholic church itself.
How many did the RCC kill? A few thousand maybe? at best. And the Protestants kill just as many Catholics. They fought wars. If protestants were true followers of Christ they wouldn't have made war with other people over their religion, they would have accepted martyrdom like the Orthodox saints of ancient Rome. The RCC also persecuted the Orthodox such as St. Peter the Aleut. Orthodoxy is the only Church that didn't fight a war or persecute.

I go to church On Sunday because that's when the preacher and other christians are there. Other wise I worship God daily by myself. But I enjoy worship with fellow believers and hearing the word preached.

actually the eastern orthodoxist churches are just rome's little sisters...they teach practically the same things...only in different words...

the only real difference between roman catholicism and eastern orthodoxism is over who gets to be in charge...their diotrephes or your diotrephes...

No that is false. Rome broke with the Church therefore is no longer part of us. There are no "sister churches" like the pope claimed. That alone is heresy there is only ONE Church just as there is ONE God.

The Orthodox Church's head is Christ the patriarchs are not mini "heads" or "vicars" because Christ is not absent. ["I will be with you all days"]

eastern is put there to make it appear as a "sister church" but it is the Orthodox Church. I am a catechumen for the Western Rite. And the current "patriarchs" who have engaged in the WCC or dialogue with other religions are heretics and therefore not part of the Church; however the Church is still ONE. Yes the teachings may be close however the RCC is closer to the protestant churches then the Orthodox Church. No matter what the acceindents [such as liturgical worship, saints, ect) appear thay are not the same. Two trees may look the same but are they the same individual or sisters?? NO.

BTW the RCC actually has the heresy of Collyodyians {might not be spelt right} they worship the Holy Theotokos. Yes we should honour the Mother of God as we would our own mother (honour they mother and father) but she cant be worshipped as a goddess. Orthodoxy is the perfect balanced between the two extremes.

Protestantism- do not honor the Mother of God

Orthodoxy- honor the Theotokos as the Mother of God

Roman Catholicism- practically worship the Mother of God

And calling Orthodoxy orthodoxism doesn't make sense because it would translate:

"correct/true/straight (Ortho) path/way/opinion/faith (Doxia) belief (Ism)"

You miss a gap...a huge gap in history, and interpretation of biblical understanding between the two my friend

considering that the early church was mostly Jewish, and that many attended synagogue on the sabbath (saturday), i think a lot of the choosing of the day of the week to regularly meet had no small part in not interfering with previous engagements.

so Paul comes to town, and preaches the good news in the synagogue on saturday.. many believe, many want to hear more - do you think Paul said "OK let's plan on thursday.. " ? i rather think it was more like "let's meet again tomorrow"
