Read Hebrews 3 and 4, to see what the rest is that God has called us all to. For me it is everyday in Christ I am at rest as I wake up each day and die to self with Christ on the cross, learning from God day by day
Hebrews 4:1 [ The Promise of Rest ] Therefore, since a promise remains of entering His rest, let us fear lest any of you seem to have come short of it.
Hebrews 4:3 For we who have believed do enter that rest, as He has said: “So I swore in My wrath, ‘They shall not enter My rest,’” although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
Hebrews 4:10 For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His.

So if any of us are going to work, let's work hard to enter God's rest, not just one day a week as in literal, more like Spiritual in God through Christ.

Maybe you are not yet seeing your freedom, from working out your own salvation, for from what you just wrote you are working very hard at this, and only entering his rest one day a week where you are taking the time to make sure you did everything all right that week before, and are asking God to forgive you further than God has already forgiven you.
I am glad you have a heart for God, but you are working very hard to stay right with God and are very miserable in this behind closed doors, and wanting eagerly to stay and be right with God, is this not so?

So when Christ went to the cross and died for the sins of the whole world, how many of your sins did God leave out?
Are all sins by God through Christ forgiven or not?
How many are left for you?
Does God just love you or not?
Who does the working out of your salvation, God or you?
If it is you, then it is of flesh carnal self is it not?
If it is of God, by you believing God to do what is needed to be done in you, then I guarantee you it will be done if you do not doubt God.
Read matt. 9 where the woman had no doubt and was healed.
God came in the flesh to heal us all, in Spirit above the flesh, is where we are healed through the cross.

It was in this period that Christianity spread throughout the Roman Empire and probably east to India. Christians then realized they were a part of a rapidly expanding movement. They called it "catholic" to symbolize the universality of Christianity and also to differentiate it from the syncretized and perversions of Jesus's teachings that arose in false religious movements like Gnosticism.

With your logic, Can did not sin by killing Able because the ten commandments where not given yet and futhermore, the other nine commandments would then also only apply to the Jews.

Us Protestants pick up a lot of wrong information about Catholicism as we grow up. You see me correcting some of it in my posts though I'm just one person who has to work and can't possibly respond to every post stuffed full of bad information.

A thread like this can be a very negative bully thread where Protestants come to bully "their enemy" (e.g. Catholics) with a lot of erroneous misinformation and false assertions. There is nothing Christian about that. And when they do it to a Catholic that has a personal relationship with Christ after being "born again" and whom is "in Christ" with them (if they truly are themselves "in Christ") then they place Jesus back on the road of Damascus saying to them "Why do you persecute me."

A thread like this can be an opportunity for Protestants to explore Catholicism and visa versa to gain an accurate and genuine understanding of each other's history, doctrine, people, etc...

Protestants often forget that we started as one. We once were the same thing in both the localized and universal sense.

Not so today, of course. However, those of us who are "in Christ," whether Catholic or Protestant, are one in the universal sense still.

A thread like this can be an opportunity to come to a genuine understanding of Catholicism which benefits those Catholics who have not experienced the spiritual rebirth that Jesus speaks of in Matthew 3 as they finally find it as well as an opportunity for Protestants to correct their own misunderstandings regarding Catholicism and make suggestions to Catholics about some of the problems that have occurred over time and discuss their theological perspective with them. Catholics can benefit from this as well.
