Missachu, I don't need your intervention into my discussion. You can bounce if you're going to get in the way.

ThriftPopShop, you state in your profile that, "Lets get this straight; I believe in God. He is real, very real and active in my life. Christianity I am not sold on....why should I be?"

What kind of relationship do you think you have with God outside of Christ? I'd really like to know.

Well, that was not at all fruitful, I was hoping Brother David would put my mind at ease about his feelings towards a large percentage of the forum.

And just to be 100% clear, I asked David_1 If he hated Conservatives and/or AMERICANS (not America) He responded:

God is only a mystery to those who don't know him. If you say there is more than one way to God then you call God a liar with multiple personalities, some good and some evil. That would make God a God of chaos and the love you claim he has would only be partial and would be paired with hate, apathy, cruelty, depression, and every other emotion. He would care for some one day and then hate them the next. He would be ever changing making your charitable acts of love in the pursuit of heaven in vain anyway and murderers and rapists some that he loves and condones one day and not the next. This type of God would have made a world where up is down and left is right and nothing would ever make sense. Nature would have no balance and the natural laws would be chaotic and have no discernible order. He would be in opposition to himself.

Conception would not be after its own kind and some would give birth to trees while others gave birth to half pig human bird things. There is only one way to God through the redemption of Jesus Christ who makes the impure pure and offends those who reject and hate the truth. You can make your own God up if you'd like, but what it boils down to is self-worship and "I will do as I wish" regardless of the consequences.

Our God is a God of order, where ALL are guilty before his pure and holy nature. To him, you are no better than the murderers and rapists you detest. Even the least of your sins is as detestable before a holy and perfect God as those of a murderer. Understand that and you will understand there is only one way. Your acts of charity are worthless without faith in the true God. They won't get you to heaven. Keep building that tower though.

I dont want to be ripped apart, so I choose to not answer this question...I question your genuineness. You havent exacly been nice to me in the past so Im pretty apprehensive.

To me it sounds like you don't believe in your views enough to let other people comment on them. That's immaturity on your part, not me being disingenuous.

In fact, your calling me disingenuous IS "ripping me apart" so you just behaved in a hypocritical manner too.

In science, and I've taken a fair share of science classes at college, we don't hold each other's hands like a counselor telling each other we're right.

We submit our ideas to the group and they "rip them apart" to get at the truth and see if those ideas are worth keeping.

But you're immature and can't handle the truth and so call me dishonest to avoid submitting your beliefs to the group for inspection. Grow up ThriftShopPop.

There is only one way to God and that is Jesus Christ....and I did not say that, Jesus did.

So either Jesus IS God and what He says is absolute truth, or He was a wacked out nutjob.

Jesus is God. That is core and essential to christianity and without that heart affirmed proclamation, no one can be saved.

No works can save because no one is good enough to earn heaven. Salvation is by the mercy and Grace of God and not by any action a man can do or his ability to muster his will.

Romans 9:16

Ephesians 2:8-10

Jesus is God and the only way.

And frankly, not only curious, but perhaps a little suspicious,
as people do come here often just to argue with Christians and create conflict.

Sadly it is quickly becoming that way due to the constant inventing of rights that never existed until this generation and redefining the rights/privacy guaranteed by it.
