Oh......I ONLY seem as a desert fox.
You didn't accuse directly(it's a good thing you didn't think or type it on your particular sabbath;
BECAUSE YOU WOULD CERTAINLY BE DAMNED THEN.) - (It is good that you have chosen off-sabbath days to accuse)
- - - Oh, I'm sorry, - - "Seem to accuse"........

I shouldnt even be continuing in this foolishness.

I said seem, because I do not know you, but from what you have shwn me it appears if your character is poor. we all do stupid things at time, so for all i know you might be a person that feeds the poor and hepls the homeless, i dont know what you do. so i can not say for certian. this is whay i said "seem"

and regardless if we disagree or you dont like me, mocking a Commandment of Yahweh there is no need for that.

i did read this.

it's been dealt with for years on this forum.

"8 For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.
9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief."

that's Joshua - not Jesus.
if Joshua had given them rest, then he would not have spoken of another day.

see Joshua 1; 11; 21; 22 etc..

Joshua 21
43So the LORD gave Israel all the land which He had sworn to give to their fathers, and they possessed it and lived in it. 44And the LORD gave them rest on every side, according to all that He had sworn to their fathers, and no one of all their enemies stood before them; the LORD gave all their enemies into their hand. 45Not one of the good promises which the LORD had made to the house of Israel failed; all came to pass.

Jesus Christ IS The Sabbath Rest - for all who enter in.

Millennialists don't believe this, because they're waiting for a dispensation that doesn't exist.
later:)

I am quite aware it's Joshua, I did not translate that version. Please give me a little credit that i am not limited by one verion with no concordance.

Get cleansed in the blood of the lamb.
Jesus answers the law.
The law is love.

Amen. Only a reprobate pharisee would cast off the yoke of Christ and place themselves in bondage to the yoke of Moses.

For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke ofslavery.2 Look: I, Paul, say to you that if you accept circumcision, Christ will be of no advantage to you.3 I testify again to every man who accepts circumcision that he is obligated to keep the whole law. 4 You are severed from Christ, you who would be justified by the law; you have fallen away from grace. 5 For through the Spirit, by faith, we ourselves eagerly wait for the hope of righteousness. 6 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but only faith working through love.
7 You were running well. Who hindered you from obeying the truth?8 This persuasion is not from him who calls you.9 A little leaven leavens the whole lump.10 I have confidence in the Lord that you will take no other view, and the one who is troubling you will bear the penalty, whoever he is.11 But if I, brothers, still preach circumcision, why am I still being persecuted? In that case the offense of the cross has been removed.12 I wish those who unsettle you would emasculate themselves!
Gal 5:1-12

Yes, this is talking about keeping circumcision, but Circumcision is part of the Mosaic laws as the Sabbath keepers.

I trust the word of God which clearly states " Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day. Col. 2:16
This verse liberates us from the neo-judaizers who claim we must only worship on the Sabbath. We are free to worship on any day we wish.

Yes it limits you from manmade ideas like Sunday keeping. But the flip side is that it enforces the word of God about these things over man. The word of God says the seventh day is His blessed day he made for you to fellowship with him.

So Helkiah thinks we sin that grace may abound; because we live in the freedom of Jesus Christ?
Man.......listen, all of the law returns to those who are His.
Why? - Because He fulfilled the whole of the law!
So all who are in Christ are kept by Him.
Jesus keeps us! Not law, that is how we know we are kept by Him.
His law is the law of love, (read Matthew 5 again).
- - And this is how they will know you, - "if you have love one for another".
- - - There is no love in the O.T. law, but there is the whole of the law in Jesus Christ's love.

Everyday is the sabbath.

“Blessings to those who are doing his Commandments; their authority shall be over The Tree of Life, and they shall enter The City by the gates.”/QUOTE Hizikyah

Matt 22:34 But when the Pharisees had heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence, they were gathered together.35Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying, 36Master, which isthe great commandment in the law? 37Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38This is the first and great commandment. 39And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Sunday worship is it tradition from catholicism shouldnt it be the sabbath ? I ask this only to see your biblical scriptural opinions God bless

Hey Apostol2013, Yes worship should be the Sabbath and all the Monkey dung throwing Christians know that Sunday is one of the Sabbath days just like all of the six other days as Christ is our Sabbath and Lord of it. It is no longer a day, but rather our life in Christ.

Dont' take this personal, but it's not about you. It's about a pattern of behavior in the Church that is a festering boil on the faith. It's this high and mighty, judge first but smile and say God bless you and it's ok approach to things. When people put forth such examples, the people I witness to, see them and have all the reason they want to know the Church is fulla Skubalon.

I can't fix anyone, and I can't fix the church, but I can dang sure stand up on principle when I see something wrong. When you go to Christian forums, it's EXTREMELY difficult to find someone to discuss scripture to. Most are too afraid to be wrong to actually discuss. So when you tweak their faith, they get either hyper defensive, or hyper offensive, or passive aggressive.

From my side of the table that is what happened with you.

It is wrong.

Scripture says to call your brudder out.

I did.

It's principle.

Whether you said, or didn't say you were pimping E. WHIte is irrelevant really, but I didn't see you say it. What is relevant is that he used an implied association with her to discredit you, rather than address the argument.

That's ad hominem.

I'm pretty sure I remember that in the rules I read here. It was a public offense, and required a public rebuttal. (*or in SBC talk, rebuke)

quote from TannarDarr #52
OH THAT IS UTTER BS. UNLESS YOU THINK ADAM WAS A WEEK OR TWO BEFORE JESUS AT LEAST. You really don't care to get to the bottom of the truth do you. You only want to defend what you were taught.

THAT IS ANOTHER GAME SHOW BUZZ COMMENT.

Quote from TannarDarr post #61
you fool. What does e.g. white comments, ignoring all of the man's arguments to try to discredit him by tying him to eg white, have to do with hermeneutics?

But, you have to practice what you preach. Otherwise, you are one of those people.

Need I say more!

Yes it limits you from manmade ideas like Sunday keeping. But the flip side is that it enforces the word of God about these things over man. The word of God says the seventh day is His blessed day he made for you to fellowship with him.

Do you have kids? if no, then if you had children, would you want only 1 day a week for fellowship?

Gen. 2:3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

Gen 32:28 And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.

Mr 2:27 And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:

During Noah’s life, a seven day period was used as a marker of time by God, (Gen. 7:4, 10). Noah also used a seven day period to determine how often he sent forth a dove from the ark, (Gen. 8:12-14). Incidentally, “Noah” in Hebrew, means “rest”.

This weekly cycle is seen again being demonstrated to the Israelites, after their generations of pagan influences and separation from their God, (Exo. 16:23). It is later written for them by God, (Exo. 20:8-11). In both instances, it’s clear this weekly cycle is only contained within the Sabbath command itself.

John 1:1 IN THE BEGINNING WAS THE WORD, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
1 John 1:1 That which WAS FROM THE BEGINNING, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the WORD OF LIFE;
1 John 2:7 Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye HAD FROM THE BEGINNING. THE OLD COMMANDMENT IS THE WORD which ye have HEARD FROM THE BEGINNING.
1 John 2:24 Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have HEARD FROM THE BEGINNING. If that which ye have HEARD FROM THE BEGINNING shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.
1 John 3:11 For this is the message that ye HEARD FROM THE BEGINNING, that we should love one another.
2 John 1:5 And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we HAD FROM THE BEGINNING, that we love one another.
2 John 1:6 And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have HEARD FROM THE BEGINNING, ye should
walk in it.

1. The Sabbath was instituted and on the Seventh Day(Gen2:2,3).
2. Specific offerings were given, or they would be rejected, long before Sinai or Israelite(Gen.4:5).
3. Murder was a not allowed, before Sinai or Israelite (Gen.4:13).
4. The separation of unclean and clean meats was already known, before Sinai or Israelite(Gen.7:1).
5. Adultery was considered a sin, before Sinai(Gen.39:9).
6. The Sabbath was called a law and a commandment, before Sinai(Exo.16:28*).

*[He also states; "My laws and commandments", the plural for both which tells us several things.]

a. There was more than one law and commandment established prior to this statement.
b. These laws and commandments existed before Sinai.
c. The 7th day Sabbath was included in them.

It says the new heavens and new earth. So unless you are seeing something else, this is after all is said and done, this is eternity.

Do you not see the irony in your comment, about the passage title that was written by the people who printed your Bible or the translator?

Col. 2:4 And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words.

Col. 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

Col. 2:16 “Let no man therefore judge you…”

Col. 2:18 “Let no man beguile you…”

Col. 2:20 Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances,

Col. 2:22 Which all are to perish with the using; after the commandments and doctrines of men?

6 times within an 18 verse span Paul reminds who these ordinances belong to. This gives us no doubt as to the common root of the heresy that Paul was dealing with, they were the worldly doctrines of men. He is contrasting the authority of Christ in all these matters, with that of mans. And in response you quote an uninspired man who labeled your passage. That's irony for you.

I am doing the same thing the passage is telling you, believe God's word about the Sabbath, not man's. I do find it funny that even though the chapter explicitly repeats to trust only God on these matters they use it to try and prove manmade doctrine.

If you don't wish to discuss point for point then perhaps refrain from posting so many blatantly inaccurate pieces of info before you have done the homework. Scripture is a serious subject.
Proverbs 9
[SUP]7 [/SUP]“He who corrects a scoffer gets shame for himself,
And he who rebukes a wicked man only harms himself.
We aren't discussing anymore when you through out insults nor inaccurate information about me.

Everyday is the sabbath.
Because we live everyday.
That is the truth of God's rest to those who believe on whom He has sent. (John 6)

God only blessed one day, the 7th. So only the 7th day can be the sabbath of the Lord. While we are to rest in Him, that does not do away with the sabbath of the Lord.

To say God only blessed one day of the week is to say God only blessed 1/7th of our life.
It totally preposterous.

I can show you Bible that says the 7th day was blessed by God, can you show me Bible that says any of the other six were blessed?
