So, me and some girl friends are gonna do a "sassy/sophisticated" night sometime. We're going to wear our sunglasses out and wear red lipstick. I feel like my sunglasses make me look like a sassy 1950s girl, and I commented on that at church Sunday night. I put on my sunglasses, and the girls agreed. So, that's how the idea was sparked.

Today I went to the store and bought some red lipstick. I have lipstick, in pinks, but I never wear them. I got home and tried on the red lipstick, and OH MY GOODNESS it's so...different for me. I mean I guess it looks alright. I might go back to the store and get a more...sheer one. I think I'm just not used to wearing such a bright color. I just put it on in my house and took it right off, it's gonna take some confidence to wear it out!

Sometimes it's fun just to think about how different girls are from...
from us...
ya know, the other species.

I'm trying to picture a bunch of guys getting together and someone saying,
"Yo, dudes... lets go out tonight and be all... sassy."

That would get you so beat up.
: )

Tomorrow, I'm going 1940's retro to school... from my hair style to the red lipstick. Here's a red lipstick tip, or 4. 1) Be careful in whether you choose a blue red or an orange red. From pics I've seen of you, I'd say a blue red is better. 2) Red lipstick makes your teeth look whiter. 3) I would also recommend a blood red or a red delicious apple red for you. Nothing too bright, and you would probably like matte better than glossy. 4) ALWAYS line your lips and color them in. You'll get a better red and it will stay longer.

I wear Mac's Ruby Woo. It's a classic 40's lip color and one of my absolute faves!

It will take a bit to get used to having red lipstick. But work it, baby. You're worth it. ;)

Sounds FUN! You'll look great! I look hideous in red lipstick with my coloring. LOL. The best I can pull off is coral colored.

LIPSTIIIICK!!!

That stuff is my favorite type of makeup. I love it. It's just so...I dunno, fabulous.

And I can't wear it. I look like a clown. Well, unless I slather on some foundation and concealer and a bunch of other junk to hide the natural red in my cheeks.

One time, in highschool GYM class, a boy told me I was wearing waaay too much makeup and looked really weird. A couple other people agreed.

I wasn't wearing ANY.

Bah.

Since we are just talking random thoughts, I am wondering why I did not stay in my closed bubble it feels safe. I was talking to a guy on here which I have been emailing, problem is he had his shirt up in one of the pictures. It confused me because really why would a Christian send a photo like that? So I email my sister to ask her opinion, basically she told me I was responding wrong. Maybe he is not really that hot anyway, I mean people use other people photos. However, if this person is a truly a Christian why would he lie. And am I being too offensive about the shirt thing?

By ear, impressive, indeed, littleChristone.

Keep on letting Him lead you one song after another, let Him lead you to where He wants you to go in music and your life--not just your music-- will be a Master's piece to His glorifying puzzle of Himself in blessing you instrumentally through sounds you play and sing for winning others for Him with this great gift of joyful noise He's given you. :)

I watched The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian tonight. I loved the movie, until it came to the end....ugh, the end always nearly puts me in tears, because they all have to go back home. They go back to the world they longed to go back to, only to go right back home just a few short days after, never to return until the last battle. How did they do it? I know I would have drug my heels and said no, because I would have felt like I belonged there. The ending seriously almost made me cry.

Aaannnd now I know it's time for sleep. lol goodnight everyone. :)

Thanks to those of you who wrote encouraging things after I decided not to keep pursuing that job. I was still bummed out over the potential money and was humbled and overwhelmed by your responses. Too much so to post anything last night.

So....umm....thanks! :) And yes. I am faithful trusting that the Lord has something even better in the works!

It works for some people, not for others.

For me, 'fashion' equals 'alarm bells' and 'run away quickly'.

When I see a woman or man dressed up 'all proper like' when outside of a situation that calls for being dressed up, I immediately think 'high-maintenance', and go on about my business.

To me, anyone who takes more than a few minutes to coordinate the day's clothing generally ends up to be someone I don't have anything in common with and don't like to be around. I only get 24 hours each day. Spending two (or more) of those hours each day worried about how to get my hair 'just so' and 'do my sunglasses match my shoes' does not seem to be a worthwhile usage of the limited time I am given...

See also: hair product, thick makeup, painful shoes, useless accessories, hair product, tanning salons, weekly manicures (or any manicures on a guy), hair product, trendy hipsters, any other trend, and any other useless fluff like changing smartphone cases to match your shoes. And hair product.
