I live in Egypt. There has always been tension between muslims and coptic christian in egypt even before muslim brotherhood came in the picture. The copts here are used to being presecuted. Still what is currently happening is very disturbing.
I have a lot of respect for the copts here. They have a very strong faith and they trully are applying "the turning the other cheek teaching" by not counter attacking the muslims. Majority of the copts here are low to middle class people, so they can't afford to just flee the country. They have no option but to pray and endure the situation.
Very sad...all for the sake of politics...

You might remember when Morsi was deposed, the Egyptian military discovered a treasure trove of documents linking the Obama regime with the illegal activities of the Muslim Brotherhood including funding them with billions and Obama's half brother being linked as well. It is reported they were openly crucifying Christians.
Well now the Muslim Brotherhood and its supporters are forcing some Coptic Christians in Egypt to pay a steep jizya tax and if they can't pay it because they don't have enough money they are being assaulted with their wives and children sometimes being kidnapped and presumed to be sold into slavery. Jizya is not a tax actually. It is more correct to be classified as penalty. Muslims don't pay jizya.
Jizya is what required by allah at its best, and its only available to the Jews and Christians (sorry for atheists, hindus, buddhists, etc lol)
Jizya is commanded in sura 9:28-30. Unfortunately, sura 9 is the second last revealed chapter by allah to muhammad (113th).

In the U.S., the government doesn't charge a religious tax upon its populace. People do get charged income and sales taxes; however, if they aren't paid the government doesn't show up to your house and beat you within an inch of your life and then drag off your wife and a couple of your kids to sell into slavery to cover the back tax.
But Muslims in some parts of the Middle East do that to Christians and that's a violation of their basic human rights in the EXTREME.

Nothing of our revelation (even a single verse) do we abrogate or cause be forgotten, but we bring (in place) one better or the like thereof. Knowest thou not that Allah is Able to do all things ?

Then Allah mentions what was abrogated of the Qur'an and that which was not abrogated, as a direct reference to the claim of the Quraysh who said to the Prophet: O Muhammad!
