Mr Danschance, can you tell me the literal meaning of the term "mystery of iniquity"

concordance/lexicon wise
I can't tell you anything. You have rejected my advice with out even the smallest consideration for it. Why should I try?

Why don't you just repeat how we are to observe parts of the Mosaic laws but not others. Tell me how Grace and the Mosaic law are compatible.

Tell me how old wine skins and new wine are a perfect match.

Hmmm, this is really meant out of love, you should really reconsider these types of statements. After all...

Exo 20:1 And God spake all these words, saying,

And we know that this is the One who became Jesus Christ. To say that it is stupid to say these Laws are still in effect after Christ said...

Luk 16:17 And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail.

Seems to put you on very dangerous ground.
The one who twists scripture and forces the Mosaic law on others makes a mockery of grace and is cut off from it. You are the one on dangerous ground. I am just the fool who is trying to help you see the light.

Remember Dan, Josh also said this.....

Who has so confused you that you believe grace and obedience are mutually exclusive? Grace is what God holds our for us when we are disobedient. When we slip and fall, Christ offers grace to justify us and forgive us and reconcile us to the Father.

I follow Yahshua

Revelation 14:12, " Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus."

Revelation 22:12-15, "And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie."

Perhaps it is better we agree to disagree. I shan't bother you anymore.

the crazy fact of this matter i have used solid scriptures to back up my point that proves we cannot keep the 10 commandments or even be righteous and showed you the scriptures that said that covenant has also been changed because the jews ( who it was originally meant for) continued not in it so God made a new covenant with them but you all just choose to not accept it and continue to live in your illusion.. despite seeing the truth, if your not born again you will never know the truth [h=3]1 Corinthians 2:14[/h]King James Version (KJV)

14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Scripture for Scripture then, Josh....

Matthew 5:17-20: "
Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. 19 Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20 For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven."

your all so clueless how can you say Jesus>Paul so your telling me what paul said is irrelevant? do you have any idea what the holy spirit is? it's impossible you can't if you knew you would not be saying such things i'm not gonna even continue with this anymore makes no sense you still won't get it.

I can easily say Jesus is greater than Paul. I would hope you would say the same thing! Why? Because He is. Here's some more math for you....
Jesus=God.
Paul=Man

Of course Paul isn't worthless, and that mathematical equation doesn't imply that all, whether numerically or in this instance.

And yes, Josh. I have a pretty solid understanding of the Holy Spirit. But I'm sure how that relates to our present conversation.

Blessings to you,
Matt

Yeah... 23 pages in a matter of days.

Sorry if this has been mentioned before, but my main problem with SDA isn't even the Saturday sabbath thing. It's the teachings of Ellen G White. I have a similar problem with the catechisms and extra biblical texts that various denominations have (Catholc, Lutheran, Orthodox, Mormon, etc).

Rev 22:
[SUP]18 [/SUP]For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
[SUP]19 [/SUP]And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Galatians 1:
[SUP]8 [/SUP]But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
[SUP]9 [/SUP]As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

I think the thread should be retitled...

Something else to consider, neither Hizikyah, Matt nor myself are SDAs. Where are the SDAs in all this?

Might as well expand it to include every denomination that uses extra biblical doctrine. And I don't know that attack would be the right word. How about challenge? And thats a good challenge.

Actually, somehow the thread degenerated into a debate over the Sabbath which is a BIBLICAL doctrine. The challenge is how and when did it get done away with. As far as SDA doctrine, some is correct, some not so much.

If the Sabbath is current doctrine then Zebras can climb trees.

I think this thread should of been called "The attack of the Neo-Judaizers Cult and how they rob you of salvation and mock the death of Christ" Then it would more accurate.

Josh I hate to say this, but you haven't proven anything scripturally. You show a lack of understanding how to compare and examine the biblical text. The lies the devil tell you that we can't keep the 10 commandments are absurd to say the least.

I offer a few scriptures to further add evidence to what I'm saying.

What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? Romans 6:1,2

The soul who sins shall die. Ezekiel 18:20

What is sin?

Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness. 1 John 3:4

Breaking the commandments is considered sin.

How do we know Jesus believes we can keep the commandments?

go andsin no more.” John 8:11

At least consider this friend. You say you love Jesus.

Jesus tells us how to prove we love him:

If you love Me, keep My commandments. John 14:15

So friend, I would recommend taking some time and praying to Jesus. Tell him to search you out if there is anything he finds false in you to remove it and ask him to show you His way, not yours, but His will be done.

Obedience isn't legalism
