People actually believe that. Although they don't openly admit it right away.

I've talked with more then a few people now who think this way about Paul..

The problem and reason this line of thinking can develop with some people is because, Churches really don't get into much teachings of the Bible. And some of Paul's teachings they ignore; likely because it contradicts their own "church traditional " teachings ..

So its easier apparently to get people believing some writings in the Bible don't mater; and people buy into it hook line and sinker .

I have heard this argument not just with Paul's writings , but also Revelation or Isaiah or Daniel . There are people out there, Christian and non believer alike ,that have a bad habit of trying to tare down God's words.

Anyone that says the Bible does not matter or it does not matter to read Revelation its past, or this or that, i would mark them because they are basically saying they know more then God does.

A example for what i was saying in my post just below: take Paul's Second Letter to the Thessalonians ; it Contradicts " the rapture theory " and blows it totally out of the water.

So instead of throwing the rapture teaching out, they rather teach people to throw Paul a apostle who Christ chose, and his writings out...

Some people here may believe rapture written but it does not aline with the order of things written .
But that teachings developed in much the same way that, people don't want Paul in the scriptures. If scripture is neglected and left out, you can have a traditional church teaching in its place. This is whats done in mass now a days.

And to add. With enough time, teaching a traditional church teaching , over and over again, that becomes the truth in the minds of people, they being to believe its actually written . And its just ends up being a lie. But people cant seem to tell the difference because they wont study the Bible themselves

( Often because people do not study for themselves . Nor check out who or what they are being taught . Weather or not its written or some one is just blowing hot air for a hour everyday?

After all, The majority teaches something, ( a tradition of men )and believes it, so it must be true,. Why bother doing any work, after all so many people could not possibly be wrong. ?

Many believe Paul is not to be trusted, mostly because much of what he has to teach is confused. It is confused because he is addressing specific incidents of varied assemblies, and oft times though he seems to contradict himself, he is just correcting a situation as best he is able. Also many do not trust him when or if he appears to be in conflict with our Master, Yeshua.

Yeshua teaches when hypocrites weigh heavy burdens on you which they will not lift a finger to budge themselves, do as they say, for they will have to answer for their hypocrisy. I by no means label Paul a hypocrite, however if we are advised to do as the hypocrites say and not as they do, how much more should we listen to what Paul has to share with the assemblies!?

My own rule is not actually a rule at all, it is to obey Jesus Who teaches plainly, come, learn of me for my yoke is easy, my burden is light. There is no better Master (teacher) than Yeshua.

So, when Paul may confuse a person, whenever possible find what the Master says on the subject. Problem solved.

So how do you expect to find Something Jesus said....if He didnt say it? Kinda tough spot for some.

Of course people have. Have you not read the content of the posts? Many believers have suffered great anguish on this theme and they have come to discuss it and help each other on the theme. I went through my own period of wondering about Paul's credentials since the only writings about his authenticity were from him and Luke. He was not prophesied in the Word previously, so these two facts, alone, are enough to seed doubt.

This thread serves to exhort and alleviate the fears and doubts of some. So, why are you surprised? Or is your question from humility? If the latter, for give what I have said if it offends. It should not, but I can see how it may for some.

That mystery I guess your referring to 1 cor 15 ? It was simply there was going to be a change of bodies to a flesh body, into a angelic body ( At Christ return to this earth as King of kinds and Lord of lords..

Christ taught this change in ( Mark 12:25 ) Christ also taught this fact with His very resurrection from death. Remember the mount of transfiguration ? Where Christ illustrated this change . These earthly body, cannot inherit the Kingdom of heaven ( Psalm 16:10-11 )

If you believe Christ died and rose again, so you should also know, that mystery to some, and believe it. Its only a mystery to those that really don't care and don't believe. Christ chose Paul so Paul belongs.

Debunk Christ's words in Revelation because they are contrary to Paul's. Just quoting nathan3.

Article on Rapture that I translated explains it all. This is Christ's Revelation that He gave to John. Few people tried to discuss in that thread, you know why ? Because they can not question it.

I was responding to someone who said he checked up on Paul by seeing what Jesus said.
Paul taught the mystery of the Church, that gentiles would be fellowheirs...etc something Jesus didnt teach.
My point was that Pauls writings cannot be proofread by Jesus writings.
Of coarse I believe Paul writings should be in scripture..on the same level as Jesus, since both authored by God.

Whoever voted that Paul was a false prophet, if that is their true belief, is headed for hell, until and unless he or she accepts Jesus as his saviour. I'm hoping it was an unbeliever, perhaps an atheist or Jew, who voted no, rather than someone who thinks he belongs to Christ.
