As I explained, there is evidence to support a flat Earth (and I agree also evidence apparently against). I don't know what Nist is (sorry!). I wouldn't call believing the 9-11 pancake theory critical thinking, because there is no evidence to support it - just lots of government paid shills!

Come on Rachel ! The people who are on the same level of delusion as the flat earthers are those who fear to face the grim truth about 9-11 ! And they prefer to find a comforting refuge in the official flat-is-earth 9-11 version released by the gov.

Exactly, it was like a blockbuster movie ! Many years ago, I was fooled by the official gov propaganda about 9-11, just like Rachel for now, and just like you I saw a video about a Christian truther exposing the real truth about 9-11, and I couldn't believe what I saw; until now, it's hard to believe 100%, but, well, facts are facts ! Lies are like a temporary magical illusion or spell from a magician, and soon or later they end, and the truth is fully revealed !

Thanks - I remember what NIST is now. I read about the pancaking hypothesis once, but it didn't really seem to answer any questions. It reminded me of the evolutionary just-so stories that are elaborately woven around the facts, but when you apply these hypothesis to external evidence (i.e. outside the evidences they were woven around), they fail.
With flat earthing, I still don't know. I've read that (large) buildings, pipeline/cable requirements etc. don't assume a spherical earth, and never run into problems as a result of this (i.e. cables aren't too short, despite the distances). There is also the documented evidence that people can see further than they should be able to see if the Earth spherical. I hate the idea of an "oblate-spheroid", because how could water find its own level if the Earth were all bumpy? This said, I think some of the Heavenly phenomena (sunset/sunrise), star fields in the southern hemisphere lead to difficult and clumsy explanations with the theory (without knowledge of additional phenomena, perhaps?)
The Vatican episode also interests me. I thought this was about the Earth being stationary, though? (i.e. not about it being flat - I'm fairly sure the Earth is stationary). I often think this might have been a double-bluff - they wanted people to believe the Earth orbited the sun, so they played the part of the bad guys against Galileo. Or perhaps they were just truly being honest?

The thing about conspiracies is that most of the time even if they are false is that there is some truth in it. Now a flat planet? I don't think so, the higher ups being responsible for 9-11? completely. it was an inside Job, The higher ups in our world are no good people, they go around pretending to be for the people when they are really just wanting their own desires.

The word planet comes from the Greek for wanderer, I believe. Earth is stationary, ergo it is not even a planet! (In the beginning, God created the Heavens and the Earth, not and the planets or similar!) I don't really ask that anyone believes that the Earth is flat, though a spherical Earth has evidence against it, too, as described. But it isn't like that pancake theory, which doesn't have anything supporting it at all except a few government stooges.
