We could only wish they were thinking of me as their "marriage partner".
Biblically speaking, you should not be in any position of authority
over any boys twelve or older (unless you're their mom).
There are reasons for that, and now you know at least one of them.

Can you explain where in the bible female leadership is allowed for 11 year old boys but prohibited for 12 year olds? You have made a rule out of a biblical principle. There is no life in rule-keeping. A law has never been given that is able to impart life. God demands that we come to him for situational counsel.

Needless to say, you are not a fan of Mark Twain then. Tom Sawyer went to school in a quaint little school house and the teacher was...

A WOMAN!!

I'm just messing with you man, a bit. I've read the bible cover to cover (even Leviticus) and cannot remember anything about women being disbarred from teaching boys.

1 Tim. 2:12 in the context of theology, and more importantly the church.

Which has nothing to do with school teachers, being that was the context of this thread.

In some situations, yes it does apply to school teachers.

... when you think your classmate might be a Christian because she has a bible and uses it, you see her talking to two Mormon "Missionaries" and assume she is witnessing to them so you leave her with a note that says... "may god be with you phone# call me"

text response :"Hello Dustin, the lesson went well!" Later I internet stalked her and found out she was definitely a Mormon.

:D

Ah, jimdig, at least, you're asking her out. the note was cute. You keep trying. The Lord leads, bro :)
