So it has been a long time sine I pondered this passage, it really made me think and I think it is a very powerful verse. I want to post it so people can read it and ponder it also. I would like if those here would share their thoughts on this. The meaning of the verse and how one could fall under this same principle and also how to avoid it. Also for us to evaluate ourselves in this matter.
Revelation 3:1-3, "...I know your works, that you have a Name that you are alive, but you are dead. Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die; for I have not found your works perfect before Yahweh. Remember, therefore, how you have received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. For if you will not watch, I will come on you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you."
So the word translated "name" is:
Greek word # 3686 onoma a name, authority, cause
Thayer's (New Testament Greek-English Lexicon)
From a presumed derivative of the base of G1097 (compare G3685); a "name" (literally or figuratively), (authority, character):—called, (+ sur-) name (-d).

3686 ónoma – name; (figuratively) the manifestation or revelation of someone's character, i.e. as distinguishing them from all others. Thus "praying in the name of Christ" means to pray as directed (authorized) by Him, bringing revelation that flows out of being in His presence. "Praying in Jesus' name" therefore is not a "religious formula" just to end prayers (or get what we want)!
Isayah 29:13, "Therefore Yahweh said: Because these people draw near to Me with their mouths and honor Me with their lips, but have removed their hearts far from Me, and their reverence to Me is taught by the precept of men."
