Certianly Shaul was what most people would call "born again" when he wrote this, yet he thought he could fall short.
1 Corinthians 9:24-27, "Do you not know that those who run in a race all compete, but only one receives the prize? So run your race that you may lay hold of the prize, and make it yours. And everyone who competes conducts himself temperately in all things. Now they compete to obtain a perishable crown; but we for an imperishable crown. Therefore, I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man who beats the air. No, I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified."

Only if he walked back in his unredeemed flesh. So he told us about the difference of unredeemed flesh, and the new life in the Spirit of God gained by the resurrection.
Paul explained in the word Chapter after Chapter about what the flesh does and is not in connection with God. Only
God can be worshipped in Spirit and truth. John 4:23-24
Romans 1-5, and 6-8, go into great detail as to this truth of walking by our self's, flesh Spirit and trusting God to lead you in God's Spirit. This is in all the epistles, the difference in and of the flesh and God's Spirit living in you
Galatians also does a great job in revelation to the fight between flesh and blood and God's Spirit that they are at war to this very day, and this is why it important to seek the born again life from God. That only God can give.
Could it be that we think that it's a narrow gate, but not a narrow way? That a born again Christian walks a narrow way or path in this life because it is contrary to the world altogether
Those that believe and have been shown not to put any confidence in the flesh, die daily to the self with Christ at the cross in his death and then God the Father brings life, and one walks according to the Spirit of God daily, and not according to the course of this world.
Just how I see it after many years of self works, trying to get those I wanted to be pleased with me, to be that, along with to be that as well. Then one day I learned this about God. GODJUSTLOVEME and all peoples. so come to believe God just love you, you will then receive and see, no longer with physical eyes to see or ears to hear. It will be Spiritual sight and spiritual hearing, that miraculously changes one person at a time, like a domino effect. As the wind blows, so does the Spirit, bringing new life to those that believe.
Hebrew 6 isn't for born again believers it's for the churches in the world, here i will explain what i mean 4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

A True Believer is secured in the Faith because of their New Birth Principle and inward Sanctification Jer 31:33
But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law / gospel in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
And this means they cannot sin, cannot apostatize, the seed of immortal life remains in them 1 Jn 3:9

We are all in unredeemed flesh and I am not using this as an excuse to sin. I am saying yes John writes so tat we don't sin

So please people start trusting God one day at a time to not sin one day at a time, in agreeing with God that self unredeemed flesh is dead with Christ at the death of Christ and be alive that day with God in the Spirit of God. where the new life in God is at, by the resurrected Christ.
Not one person can predict there future as into what they will do or not do. So by this truth die to self daily and know you have an advocate Jesus Christ the righteous that makes constant intercession for us.

If one does not see that they have sinned and need the Savior, how will one be born again by Father through Son, if they are righteous, they do not see the need do they?
John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God
So does it not take one to see their need and admit they have sinned and even night hurt their neighbor again, realizing their need to be born again?
Born again is only done by God us crying to God for God's Mercy

Can Jesus loose what He found ?
If one Christ saved, having apprehended that one as per Phil 3:12
12 Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.
The word apprehended is the greek word katalambanō:
to lay hold of, find
a) to lay hold of so as to make one's own, to obtain, attain to, to make one's own, to take into one's self, appropriate
For that one He did apprehend to become lost again means He lost what He had or apprehended, that is His fault.
For Christ as the Shepherd of the Sheep He finds or apprehends is responsible for them. Lk 19:10
10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
Now once the Shepherd finds the Lost Sheep as here Lk 15:5
5 And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing.
Laying it upon His Shoulders denoting His Strength and protection of the found Sheep, also acknowledging the weakness of the sheep, it also denotes His Responsibility for the Sheep now to be under His Care and Protection.
In light of this Jesus speaks of the Security of the found Sheep Jn 10:27-30

But many doubters and unbelievers say, yes, but it never says that the Sheep cannot of themselves just leave out of the hand of the Shepherd; But such carnal reasoning puts even more blameworthiness and carelessness upon the Shepherd that finds the lost Sheep; You see it matters not how the Sheep comes from out of the protection and safety of the Shepherd, that does not render the Shepherd any less responsible for a Sheep who wanders away from safety than if He was overpowered and the Sheep was taken out of His Protection, either way the Shepherd failed His Trust ! If you or i leave our children to the care of a baby sitter,only to come back home later to find out that one of the children they were to be watching over and caring for was now missing from the home, who should bare the blame ? Yes, if one of the Sheep wanders away or somehow leaves from the protection and safety of the Shepard, He would be guilty of loosing one that the Father gave Him Jn 6:39
39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.
And the Sheep are what the Father gave Him Jn 10:29
29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.
So those who insist that a believing Sheep of Christ can once again be lost and consequently perish forever, they are blaming serious failure on the Shepherd. God blames the Shepherds when the sheep go astray Jer 50:6
My people hath been lost sheep: their shepherds have caused them to go astray, they have turned them away on the mountains: they have gone from mountain to hill, they have forgotten their restingplace. Christ is the Chief Shepard 1 Pet 5:4
And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.
There is no other conclusion but that He failed as their Shepherd if any of those Sheep His Father gave Him is Lost ! If we teach this, we teach against Christ !85

Praying for us all to see this marvelous light and respond in sincerity to Christ and receive the Salvation that Christ came to give as in John 10:10, for us to learn discernment and walk in the light as Christ did and does no longer in flesh, but in Spirit as it is today that God can only be worshipped in Spirit and truth

Eternal Security is True because Christ comes and Lives in Believers, and He never leaves them or forsakes them Heb 13:5-8
5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
7 Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.
8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
It [Christ living in Believers] is one of the results of His Death, that He be within them Jn 17:23,26,20
23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
26 And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.
And that this applies to all whom shall believe in Christ through the Apostle's Word Vs 20
20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;
This does include Gentile Believers Col 1:27
27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
This is the same Hope of Glory for the Apostles Jn 17:22-23
22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
And this is Paul's meaning here Gal 2:20
20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Eternal Security is True because Christ comes and Lives in Believers, and He never leaves them or forsakes them Heb 13:5-8

It [Christ living in Believers] is one of the results of His Death, that He be within them Jn 17:23,26,20

So would this not all be included, death, burial, as proof of the death, then resurrection, then showing that he rose, and then ascension, so that we could receive the Holy Spirit of God.
If it were only death, then none of the rest could be could it?
