licentiousness is a license to sin, sin is breaking the Law

anti-nomian is anti Law

you say this is wrong, why do I get so attacked for saying we should follow yahweh;s Law, im confused
Your disagreement is in the way you understand the position of the law.

As in your misunderstanding of Eph 2:15-16, or of Heb 7:11, 12, 18-19, 8:13.

Yet it still does not say to ask for more forgiveness from God. God's payment for sin is blood period and without blood
Hebrews 9:22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
Hebrews 10:18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.

no more offering is no more forgiveness for sin from God, it is finished by Son, done, completed, by Father through Son a gift to all that will appreciate and not take advantage as many do.
John 19:30
When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
Colossians 1:22
in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:

So consider by the death of Christ you are dead in the flesh and by his resurrection you are made alive in God the Father
And yes John writes to us to not sin anymore and not of self ever, of Christ living Christ's life that he lived through you, but if we do sin we have: and this is not to be taken fro granted, rather appreciated.
1 John 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

It does not say to ask for further forgiveness, it says Christ is our fail safe (advocate) that if we do sin, we have Jesus as our advocate, our mediator, that we are forgiven so we can approach the throne of grace in confidence and learn from Father how to walk in the new life he gave us, whom by Christ sees no sin in the ones that believe, thanks be to Christ
We now can instead of trying to get more forgiveness can now say thank you for being forgiven and ask how to say no to unrighteousness and The teaching begins. ( Hebrews 8)
Praying you see this yourself and walk away from those sins that you hate, that you have been asking for him to get rid of and just can't. God will show you if believe God to have past tense taken away all sin in you by Son Jesus Christ at the cross
God loves you and all that deep

  1. Romans 5:8
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
  2. Romans 8:34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
  3. 2 Corinthians 5:14 For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:

    Hebrews 2:3 how shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;
As Christ's death 2,000 years ago forgives your sin at rebirth in the 20th century,
so his death forgives your sin after your rebirth in the 20th century.

His death forgives all your sin at repentance, both at rebirth, and thereafter.

please make no excuse for sins sister as what this ahs done and is doing, being in unredeemed flesh as they are and won't consider by the cross of Christ to be dead to it, and therefore are walking by flesh efforts.
You misunderstand 1Jn 1:8-10.

Yahhwe willing i will give you an answer on Heb verses another time, but in EPH textually i see the oppisition being abloished and Spiritually I dont see the Law of Yahweh being a burden or oppisition, I see it as a perfect standard, a loving and beautiful moral cose for our ell being and the well being of others, and Instructions to love Yahweh the way He says!

I love you Elin! I dont want to fight, just reason!

Well said indeed, now this is the true meaning of Jesus words to us not constant bondage to forgiveness but to move into love? The lords love ? He knows our frame? Then when christs love fills the heart the recipient learns what that love means and cost Jesus this then compels the believer to trust him and his word ? The works are of god and grace abounds for the child of god? This not licence to sin not at all? Bt sin we are gna do even gods own are gna sin he knows this before we're born? Oh thank god for the grace its so much bigger than we can ever fathom even with reasoned debate for 10.000 years? Thank you Jesus for my life amen

The priesly Laws are also for the High Priest Yahshua, but all others apply.

The Priestly Laws of the Old Covenant do not apply to Yeshua.

He is of the Tribe of Judah, not of the Tribe of Levi.

1 Yahchanan 2:7, "Brothers, I write no new Laws to you, but the old Laws which you had from the beginning: The old Laws are the Law which you had from the beginning."

Burden? Not to the children of Yahweh!

1 yahchanan (John) 5:2-3, "By this we know that we love the children of Yahweh: When we love Yahweh by keeping His Laws. For this is the llove of Yahweh: That we keep His Law, and His Law is not grievous."

Pslam 199:97-104, "O how we love Your Law! It is our meditation all the day. Your Laws make us wiser than our enemies, because they are our possession at all times. We have more understanding than all our teachers, because Your testimonies are our meditation. We understand more than the ancients, because we keep Your precepts. We have restrained our feet from the path of every evil way, in order that we may keep Your Law. We have not turned away from Your judgments, for You Yourself have taught us. How sweet are Your Laws to our taste; sweeter than honey to our mouths! From Your precepts we get understanding! Therefore, we hate every path of falsehood;"

Mattithyah 22:37-40, "Yahshua said to him: You must love Yahweh your Father with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might (Deut 6:5). This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself (Lev 19:18). On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets."

On these 2 Laws/Commandments "hang all the Law" not do away with or destroy, HANG, meaning you break any of them you have broken one of these 2.

Anothr insight to it not beoing only 10:

Revelation 22:15, "For outside are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and worshipers of gods and
everyone who professes to love, yet practices breaking the Law."

"dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers" are not against the 10 Commandments, yet people will be reject for breaking these, for the mouth of Yahshua has spoken it.

Mattithyah 7:21-23, "Not everyone who says to Me; Teacher! Teacher! will enter into the Kingdom of Yahweh, but only he who does the will of My Father Who is in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day; Teacher! Teacher! Have we not prophesied in Your Name, and cast out demons in Your Name, and in Your
Name performed many wonderful works? But then I will declare to them; I never knew you. Get away from Me, you who practice iniquity."

"but only he who does the will of My Father Who is in heaven"

Deuteronomy 10:12-13, "And now, O Israyl, what does Yahweh your Father require of you, but to reverence Yahweh your Father by walking in all His ways, by loving Him, by serving Yahweh your Father with all your heart, and with all your soul, By keeping the Laws of Yahweh, with His statutes, which I command you
this day, so that you may be blessed?."

"Have we not prophesied in Your Name, and cast out demons in Your Name, and in Your
Name performed many wonderful works?"

Do Muslims do things in His Name? Buddists? Hare Krishnas? or Atherist? You get the point
This is a message to us! Followers of or people who claim to be followers of the Messiah.
If you tell me to mow your lawn in a CERTIAN manner, but I do it the way I choose, did I do it your way?

"But then I will declare to them; I never knew you. Get away from Me, you who practice iniquity!"
Iniquity is Word #458 from word #459, Greek Dictionary, Strong's Exhaustive Concordance, meaning not subject to (Yahweh's) Laws, transgressor.

Revelation 22:12-15, "And behold, I come quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give every man according as his work will be. I am the First and the Last, the
Beginning and the End. Blessed are those who keep His Laws, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. For outside are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and worshipers of gods and everyone who professes to love, yet practices breaking the Law."

Mattithayh 5:18, "For truly I say to you; Unless heaven and earth passes away, one yodh--the smallest of the letters--will in no way pass from the Law, until all things are perfected."

Luke 16:17, "But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one yodh of the Law to fail."

We can not enter the Kingdom of Yahweh by the Law alone, but we can not make it by rejecting Yahweh's Law.

Revelation 12:17, "And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and went to make war with those who forsook her seed; her seed being those who keep the Laws of Yahweh, and have the testimony of Yahshua Messiah."

Revelation 14:12, "In this manner are the saints purified--by keeping the Laws of Yahweh, in conformity with the faith in Yahshua Messiah."

Pslam 119:142-143, "Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, because Your Law is the truth! Trouble and anguish have overtaken us, but Your Laws are our delights."

You have some interesting re-translating going on in the above.

Here are the commandments of God after the Cross, and you're right, they are not burdensome :):
[SUP]
23
[/SUP]And this is his commandment, that we believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ and love one another, just as he has commanded us. [SUP]24 [/SUP]Whoever keeps his commandments abides in God, and God in him. And by this we know that he abides in us, by the Spirit whom he has given us. (from 1 John 3)

It's all about what covenant you're in: Are you in the Old Covenant (now obsolete in Christ, the Perfect High Priest of the New Covenant) or are you in the New Covenant?

Are you in First Adam or are you in Last Adam?

Can we imagine a hanger for a moment...

View attachment 59807

I think this was the point of what Christ said. The law "hangs" on the two commandments he gave. Christ's commandments don't replace the law. Like a hanger "holds up" and "supports" the clothes draped around it, loving the Father with every fiber of one's being, and loving your neighbor as if that neighbor was you, "holds up" and "supports" the Father's law
In the language of Ro 13:8-10, love fulfills (accomplishes) the law.

and the words of the prophets. It's the "frame" by which the "suit" can maintain it's shape and not be wrinkled or damaged.

But in my analogy; if the law is likened to a suit and Christ's commandments likened to a hanger
,
Love would be your hanger.

would it make sense for the hanger to *replace* the suit?
Your well-wrought analogy does not hold up here, for it now states
"would it make sense for love (hanger) to replace the law (the suit)."

But that is precisely what the NT reveals in Heb 8:10 and Ro 13:8-10, for

if I love God, I will not take his name in vain, nor worship idols;
if I love my parents, I will not dishonor them;
if I love my neighbors, I will not steal from them, murder them, commit adultery with their spouses,
nor lust after their possessions.

The law is now written on my heart, love and the law are the same, they are both the suit.

'Tis not the hanger's (my love) job to support the suit.
'Tis the Holy Spirit's (power) job to support the suit.

The hanger is no longer needed because the suit is its own support by the power
of the Holy Spirit who gives the meaning of love.

You see the danger in not understanding this relationship is - it becomes acceptable for anyone to define their *own* version of "love" for the Father...
It's a slippery slope that has led to multiple denominations, multiple religions, and even to "do what thou wilt" (the commandment of satanism).
Your danger is based in two problems:

1) immaturity of babes in the word of God,

2) it's our job to know, rather than the Holy Spirit's job to give, what his love is.

90 pages on and closing in on 2000 posts and still we have no definitive list to the OP'S question.......I myself am confused over what laws are still valid, a question that in all of the posts that I'm aware of do not answer exactly what commandments was Jesus speaking about when He speaks about His commandments?
All the commandments of the NT are Jesus' commandments.

Read the NT to find them.

Learning to live by spirit takes time as babes take time to become men ? God gave us time for a purpose? To grow unto perfection .simple. Anyone who says a child of god won't sin in there life after truth has come is simply not in real life come on people we sin with knowledge and without knowledge bt sin loses its lure to a new born in Christ he realises the gravity of what sin really did cost god? The beating and scourging unto blood of his only son this was the price paid, once one accepts Jesus everything and every thought learned to that point pertaining to life itself is changed concepts of time history all changes this is a beginning of god revealing himself as father to the child .. Wow wow wow god blows my mind with his foresight of every human ever born am in utter awe of gods mind amen

So I wonder then which of those ten virgins shall we be like, the five that are filled, born again in the Spirit of God doing as God wants, not as man demands?
or of self effort seeing themselves as not yet filled enough, working in accordance with their own self flesh that can never please God.
Thanks
That would be between the person and God.

This thread is dedicated for all, to recive a clear picture of which Laws are still in used today that God permits, if you have any to share please do, and please give an explanation on why the law still is in effect today in this age thank you and God bless

1 Corinthians 14:34 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.

I belive it is to respect , the Overseers & Deacons when they are preaching the word of God to the congregation.

God bless
The commandments haven't changed.

Yes, but is not the walking (doing) that justifies, it is the faith (believing) that justifies (Eph 2:8).
You are correct. But, a drunkard walk will soon see the ground....

if one says they believe and do not, that is what is counterfeit. true repentance before god is to change one's mind from unbelief to belief in god,
It is also changing one's mind about one's way which sinned.

ah hah that right there, see they haven't been truly born again yet so they thought they were doing his work but they actually wasn't because they were still in the flesh
One of those eureka moments, I see :)

Thank you. do you have anything on how the Levitical priesthood understood it? Hope that question is clear. If not let me know.
It was not their job to understand, it was their job to obey.

Scripture does not mention their understanding of it.
