This is so funny, just a few minutes ago, was thinking of asking you about doing stand up hahaha.
@ Ugly - When did you first realize in your heart & mind that you needed God & truly asked him into your heart?
I meant the Holly Hunter movie, so, 'The Piano.' LOL, I never heard of 'The Pianist.' They both got high marks from critics, helloooo, why did you like 'The Pianist' so much. The Wiz, huh? Your all-time favorite? Didn't hear you answer the 'why' part of that question thoughDid you mean The Pianist? If so, then I love that movie -- it moved me and broke my heart the way that Schindler's List did. I haven't seen the Piano, so if you meant that one, then I would pick the Gerard Depardieu version of Les Miserables.
My all time favorite movie...its so hard to pick, I love so many films. For now, I'll say it's The Wiz.
Good answer. If you are not content with yourself, you won't be content with someone else. What best advice would you give someone who is single now, having come from a marriage?![]()
Green - I'd say concentrate on the good parts of being single. There are lots of good parts. If you aren't content now, the likelihood of you being content as a married person is even slimmer. Contentment comes from the inside, not so much from circumstances.
gracey: did you take art in college?
I did not go to college. Mommyhood was calling.I have gone to several conferences for entertainers and face/body artists though, and learned valuable painting techniques.
I could never do stand-up comedy or anything like that...because people would be looking at me. Yeah...I try to stay kind of invisible, in my day to day life. Standing on a stage all by myself would sort of be counter-productive to that.
I was born in CO, and then lived in Minnesota for a few years when I was...3-6 ish. Back to CO til I did my stupid get-married-at-17-trick when I lived in NC for about 6 months. I've lived in various parts of CO since I came back from NC. So...I've pretty much been here my whole life![]()
Fourleaf asks: Are you a clover, too, greennnice?
Me: I am not a clover unless my eyes count, they're mostly clover, with some blue sky![]()
fourleaf: how has God been blessing your life lately?
That's great, 4leafleafleafleaf, it's always perfect when we just surrender all to Him, in times of need and no need. Try to remember to give thanks to God when you really don't need to give thanks and in times when you really feel like appreciation to God for something is necessary. Thanks for asking GreenNnice. Everyday is a blessing and a gift. Today, I would like to give God thanks for giving me strength and good health to do all the necessary things that needed to be done especially in school.![]()
Asked by GreenNnice: itoreHis: would you agree that if you work on your relationship with God to be better and better, that your life will be better and better ? And, your homework : Could you post for us a poem about God's plans known for us
Interesting question. I think that my relationship with God can't really get "better",but that perhaps I could grow to understand His will more,or the nature of Him...thus making my life, not "better" but allowing possibly me more peace & rest in His perfect design for it. Draw near to God & He will draw near to you. My relationship with God has never been one of "feeling" Him. I always wished it were. When I was a little child...when I was in my teens...when I was a young adult, many times I wondered why I didn't seem to feel or sense God like so many other of my christian friends & family. No matter how much I studied the word,or prayed. So my walk & trust in Him has really always been by faith that He is who He says He is. Even to this day,I rarely "feel" like I understand Him or know what He wants from me. I know what the bible says, and yet it doesn't always feel as personal as I hear other's tell me it is for them. I don't question Jesus,or my salvation...I just question my own flaws on knowing what I believe God has asked of me to say or do..or even not to do at times. (does any of that make sense?) ...and now you ask me for a poem...something that I can't formulate or even attempt to make a rough draft of in my mind, simply because that's not how I write. God's plans known for us...hmmm.......
Before I was a speck He knew me
Destined for greatness
Not in or of myself
But through His Son
And from the begining I sought my own ways
Yet His hand was upon me
Each crooked step I took
Each selfish choice I made
Each day I tried to live for me
He still extended His Grace
His perfect plan
For me to show His Son
in all I do
in all I say
for all my days
upon this soil
and unto the clouds so high
To sing His praises
To His glory be
His plan for me
To help those in need
Lay hands upon the sick
Brokenhearted
to bind those wounds by the Spirit of His word
and the love He placed within me
Not to act in speech alone
but to lift up and carry those who cannot for themselves
Giving food to those who hunger
The bread of life
His life
His love
His grace
Extended without thought of any thanks or gratitude
He designed me and you
if for no other reason
to live in this moment
in this season
to be His love in full expression
L I F E
Freely He gave
Freely so shall I
His plan...God's one true plan
That all would come to know His Fatherly love
and be restored to the greatness He always knew we were...
are...
and shall be forever more.
*...ummm yeah,ok bro...not really a poem,or even what you meant I suppose, but enjoy!![]()

This is Scripture too, from 1 Thessalonians 5 , telling us how often and at what time we are to be in relationship with Jesus in our life, His Spirit living in us![]()
Rejoice always, 17pray continually, 18give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
And, people like to read books about God's will for their lives, they can throw away the books and quit asking the questions when they start to live life in this way, for their life will no longer be the same, it will be 'abundant.'![]()
I don't understand what "is less than three." Is something missing ? Or, is it just a noodle loose in my green brains![]()
GreenNnice had asked this in Arwen's thread, but I'm answering it here so it doesn't interrupt her thread. Well, that and because this is the thread for asking each other questions.
Okay, first I'm posting my current signature so this post will still make sense after I change it.
is less than threeEd, the "<" key means "is less than" in mathematics (as in, 3<4), and "three" is "3", so it's a heart (is less than three = <3 = a heart). That's why I made it red, hoping it would be more obvious. The winking smiley face is made using the semi colon and the end parenthesis keys, so "semi colon end parenthesis" means
semi colon end parenthesis
(Y)
('.')
O( (()()
"""""""""""""
. I had tried to put more space between the two (like is less than_______three, minus the underscore), but the computer bunched them back up automatically.
So far nobody has mentioned it, so perhaps either everyone got it, or nobody got it and everyone either didn't care, didn't see, or was waiting for someone else to ask.
Oh, and the last bit is a monkey eating a banana while fixing a motorcycle, of course.
Good question, Astrid. How about this: You put something in the special room and it immediately becomes clean. Or even, it gets clean after you leave and press a button; that's good enough for me . Also, Green and I each asked you awhile back in this thread, but how are you enjoying Scotland? You mentioned that you've never been called a "lass". If not "lass", what do they call the young females over there?
I'm confused. I just tried to create the emoticons that you described plus some extra and they all came out exactly as I typed them. No computer mess up.
By the way, love the bunny!
I meant that if you type "; )" without a space in between, it's the winkie smiley. If you type "<3", it means love, heart, etc. I meant that I tried to put this in my sig:
is less than________threeExcept that I tried to make it without the underline between, so that there was a long space between without the underscore. The thing is, the computer kept scooting the words together like the current signature shows. Does that answer the question?
semi colon_________end parenthesis
Ah, yes, like the way Ugly did it by using white underscoring!
