So once again the only reason you think women should cover up would be to not be a stumbling block, which implies men are ogling...yet its not the man's fault because apparently you cant control yourself and just instead would rather spout circular logic to try to win an argument?

So instead of trying to respect women and not eyeball them, you would rather them cover up so that you aren't tempted because you are too weak to resist the temptation?
Totally agree. In fact, a woman covering up doesn't really do much. lol I have it on the word of an entire former client list I had as an escort that men are attracted by a woman's hygiene and mentality more than her clothes. IN FACT, a woman could be dressed in a gunnysack and he would still find her attractive if she's mature, intelligent, and congenial. If anything, wearing modest clothing makes a man think more about what's underneath... just like a little boy wanting to unwrap a package.

GUESS WHO - American Woman

American woman gonna mess your mind
American woman, she gonna mess your mind
Mmm, American woman gonna mess your mind
Mmm, American woman gonna mess your mind
Say A, uh
Say M, uh
Say E
Say R
Say I
Say A
N, mmm
American woman gonna mess your mind
Mmm, American woman gonna mess your mind
Uh, American woman gonna mess your mind

American woman, stay away from me
American woman, mama, let me be
Don't come a-hangin' around my door
I don't wanna see your face no more
I got more important things to do
Than spend my time growin' old with you
Now woman, I said stay away
American woman, listen what I say

American woman, get away from me
American woman, mama, let me be
Don't come a-knockin' around my door
Don't wanna see your shadow no more
Coloured lights can hypnotize
Sparkle someone else's eyes
Now woman, I said get away
American woman, listen what I say, hey

American woman, said get away
American woman, listen what I say
Don't come a-hangin' around my door
Don't wanna see your face no more
I don't need your war machines
I don't need your ghetto scenes
Coloured lights can hypnotize
Sparkle someone else's eyes
Now woman, get away from me
American woman, mama, let me be

Go, gotta get away
Gotta get away now go go go
I'm gonna leave you, woman
Gonna leave you, woman
Bye-bye
Bye-bye
Bye-bye
Bye-bye

You're no good for me
I'm no good for you
Gonna look you right in the eye
Tell you what I'm gonna do
You know I'm gonna leave
You know I'm gonna go
You know I'm gonna leave
You know I'm gonna go, woman

I'm gonna leave ya, woman
Goodbye, American woman
Goodbye, American woman
Praus, you know better

Finding attractive and lusting after... i can lust after a woman that i'm not otherwise attracted to.

It's all based on the principle that a woman's responsibility is to God, as is a man's... and if they are both there with a mind to worship together will they really even notice the clothes? It will be the faces if anything that catches the eye.
Yes and no. Distracting is different from ogling. A guy might be forced to start thinking about where not to look, consciously avoiding an area of the church, instead of worshiping. And that wouldn't be good.

I´m not attending churches (What for?) Outsiders see what they see on street and Who Am I to judge another servant? If I had a lady I would ask her not to wear sexy clothing (as I did in Colombia, a couple of years ago) and she would argue her reasons (many) so I better stay isolated. Doing my business while others do theirs.

I wish women would dress more modestly in general, never mind at church, and especially if they are ministering in any way.
I wish I had the ability to appreciate beauty without twisting it into lust, but I have yet to master myself in this way.

Refer to the post on pornography. Why should men (and women) not look at pornography? Should it be available in newsagents for children to view accidentally?

If not, why not? And if so, why then, should women dress decently?

Look for a non-feminist. Feminism has destroyed most women in Western nations. There's plenty of real women overseas. The non-feminists in Western countries are usually (quickly) married. ;)

Married_Rick, your post literally made me cry. Your hateful, hurtful words against your sisters in Christ are damaging; and you are fueling the fire of sexism.

I'm sorry about whatever bad experiences you have had from belligerent women, but that doesn't justify your obvious disdain for God's daughters who do not fit your narrow (and inaccurate) interpretation of scripture.

Quit wasting time blaming others. You are the only person you can control. And it doesn't matter where the modesty bar is set, your mind will just recall rate to the new standard.

I certainly didn't intend to make you or anyone else cry, and my words were not hateful. If any feminists are hurt by these words, perhaps they are not beyond repentance, and may be encouraged to change their unscriptural position on gender roles?

I was simply giving a brother advice from my own experience. Living in a very feminist society myself, I was able to find a beautiful, God-fearing wife overseas, and I've since learned there are many more such single women (overseas), with biblical beliefs like her. The non-Christian doctrine of feminism is already attempting to invade the church and the West, and just because men find can't find supportive wives in their own country doesn't mean they won't find beautiful, traditional and God-fearing women elsewhere.

I am saddened you found my encouragement to another, a discouragement to yourself, so let me quote this passage.

Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

My goodness! I understand the fact that women are increasingly (it seems, in Australia at least) more interested in careers than marrying, and that can be incredibly frustrating BUT there's still no excuse for hating women. Feminism has damaged society, but that's more the militant variety. At it's base level though, it's been a positive influence in helping women have equal rights and respect etc.

Can you name some positive influences that have resulted from feminism? I reckon I could name more negatives than positives, the net effect therefore being negative. :| I'd like to be wrong - I'd like to think that good did prevail once in this wicked world... But at the moment, I'm doubting it.

White men - evil
Women - Good
Non-white men - not quite as evil as white men, but not as good as women.
- How about white women? (Poor disenfranchised underclass 'ey?)
- - How about non-white women? (Slightly more poor and disenfranchised than white women; and therefore slightly better)

You read like a P.C. roadmap! So predictable.

- But carry on with your bad self.

Hey Rick! You should get a special hat like me. Then we could be twins, and people would *really* have difficulty telling us apart! :D

Uhhh...not to get personal, but did your reinstatement come with any sort of stipulations? You're acting like Old Rick again.
