If the Book of Mormon is the infallible word of God, then why has there been so many revisions to it in its (relatively) short history?

1,000 of revisions from what I've read, and it's what, not even 200 years old?

What about Joseph Smith? Where does he stand in your religion? False Prophet? a god? Jesus incarnate?

So my purpose on this thread is answer and discuss civilized questions about mormonism the best I can in hopes to, if nothing else, express my love for my Savior Jesus Christ and to gain respect as a christian here on christianchat.com.
Are you familiar with a book entitled View of the Hebrews?
I guess the OP didn't want to answer my question,
and she seems to have abandoned this thread.

No doubt many here are familiar with View of the Hebrews,
but for those who may not be, it is worth looking into.
It was published several years before the Book of Mormon.
It is obviously the book that inspired Joseph Smith Jr. to write the BoM.
The similarities are blatant and cannot be coincidental.

Any Mormon who would compare the parallels should be convinced that J.S. Jr. was a fraud.
If they are not convinced, it would have to be because
they are either stubbornly ignorant, or just not interested in the truth.
Some people would rather die and go to Hell that admit they have been deceived

The BoM is an insidious plagiarism of View of the Hebrews and the KJ Bible by a known con-artist.
Bust that myth, sweetie.

This is extremely offensive to me. It seriously makes me sick. If you have a question concerning concerning the temple. Ask me, but please do not post such trash.

I have seen one of the more original copies of the Book of Mormon. The revisions that have been made are minor grammatical errors and format changes to make the book of mormon easier to use. The mistakes that were in the book of mormon exist only because the man who translated it was not perfect. Joseph Smith was not perfect, neither did he have higher than a third grade education. Grammatical errors are understandable.

Also, I do not believe that there are infallible words of God, since all the words of God I have ever read are written by imperfect men. Don't get me wrong, I believe wholeheartedly in the word of God, but I believe that minor details (such has grammatic) are understandable and God forgives them so I should too. This includes the bible.

 Is the video edifying for Christians?
No, there is no way that Jesus Christ would ever take something sacred and deeply important to someone else and treat it with complete disrespect. There is no question in my mind that to do something like that goes against everything our Savior taught.

Herosefromthedead and those who are on this thread to only attack, I ask you kindly and to spend your time doing something else, but if you continue, know you do not make me angry, only sad. I would never do this to you no matter what you believe in. I also refuse to retaliate, so please go do something else.

I'm all for respecting and loving people but asking us to accept non-biblical beliefs as being Christian, I don't think that's wise or appropriate. As for the video, if it shows the truth of Moromonism, what is there to hide?

Is it true that the Elders have to wear a special white undergarment?
My understanding is that all Mormons wear special underwear. BTW, I am not a Mormon, I am a born again Christian.

If I was in sin like you are by participating in the Mormon church, I would be grateful (at some point, hopefully) if you did what I did.

I may be wrong, but I believe that only Mormons who have been through the temple wear them.
That means they must have gotten a temple recommend, which can only be obtained by lying.

I just went to the official ask a mormon chat room, and the missionary said he is created.

Here is a screen capture.

So I do not believe that Jesus Christ was created, but I do not understand fully how everything began. What exactly first born of creation means...I don't know. I do know that I have been studying the teachings of Joseph Smith and He teaches "Anything created cannot be eternal. (Spirit) existed from eternity, and will exist to eternity." He teaches that Jesus Christ is eternal and therefore was not created(in the sense that we think of creation). How all of that works...I don't know. It is a good one to ask God when we get there. I will take a Joseph Smith's teachings as mormon doctrine, however, and believe as I believe. I think the better response on this chat would have been "I don't know" since I don't think He really had looked into the subject himself.
