This article was written by an Israeli brother in the Lord, Dr. Elisha Weismann and edited by his brother in law, Dr. James Ach, who is also an Israeli brother in the Lord. I will just post the first two paragraphs of the article....and for those who wish to read the complete article and comment, please follow the following link:

Prophecy/Current Events | dorightchristians

“Pastor” Steven Anderson created a video in which he explains that God did not cause Israel to be regathered as a nation in 1948, due to the nation’s continued rejection of Christ. Anderson is not alone in sharing this sentiment, the Aryan Nation, Ku Klux Klan and Catholic Church agree with him.

Apparently, Anderson is of the persuasion that the promise of God to bring Israel back into their land depends upon their acknowledgment of Christ as Messiah. Yet, if Israel is said to be blinded for the moment (Romans 11:26), then how would Israel as a nation be expected to corporately turn to Christ? Anderson is also opposed to dispensationalism, which is the death-knell of every amillennial, post millennial, preterist, historicist and covenant system of theology which fails to rightly divide the word of truth, and leads to blurring the distinctions between the church and Israel. (See our Article on Steven Anderson’s “After The Tribulation” and “Debunking Myths About Israel” for a refutation of common proof-texts used by these systems to claim that the church and Israel are the same.)

Israel has yet to fulfill the birthright promise to Ephraim in Genesis 48-49. The church inherited the spiritual blessings of faith through Abraham, but the church has nothing to do with the physical promises that are yet to be fulfilled in Israel. The spiritual blessings were fulfilled in the genealogy of Abraham through Judah to Christ (Genesis 49:10,Romans 9:1-7, Galatians 3:16), but the birthright was not reckoned after the genealogy (1 Chronicles 5:1-2). The failure of even the most sincere Bible students to get this throughout the Bible is partly responsible for the plethora of heresies and denominations that exist today.

But what we want to focus on in this article, since there is already so much material extant that clearly shows that Israel will be regathered, are many of the other prophecies concerning Israel that are ignored by Anderson and his ilk.

Bible scholars had lots of strange ideas about what scripture said about Christ coming the first time, and bible scholars have lots of strange ideas about what scripture says about Christ coming the second time.

Before the Jews arrived, Israel was barren land filled with sand and rocks. Today it is green and lush. When they gave up the Gaza Strip, Arabs were going to make it green, too. It is still barren.
Isa 35:1 The wilderness and the dry land will be glad; the desert will rejoice and blossom like a rose.
Isa 35:2 It will blossom abundantly and will also rejoice with joy and singing. The glory of Lebanon will be given to it, the splendor of Carmel and Sharon. They will see the glory of the LORD, the splendor of our God.

The promises will be fulfilled in the New Earth and New Jerusalem. There is no need for anything else.

The very last sentence of this article hits the nail on the head.
I’ve discovered one of the fastest ways to learn whether or not a professing Bible believer is a heretic is to see what they believe about Israel.

hmm, then every Christian before the late 1800's was a heretic?!

What a sad view of the Faith.
Israel is of obvious importance to God. But there are no Jews... there are no Israelites... the genealogies are lost!
All we have is a group of people who follow certain books (Talmud/Torah) and claim to be of that self-same ethnicity.
There is no temple. There is no Holy of Holies left to desecrate! The prophecies are already fulfilled, or will be after the Last battle.

God alone knows the true genealogies, and He will make that plain on the Last Day. I find the obsession with this topic to be such a waste of time, as it doesn't advance the Gospel, or have any edification for the Church in any form.

Did you even bother reading the article? It looks like you are responding to this thread with your pre-supposed ideas.

The 1830 teaching on dispensations is a fallacy.

I would rather listen to people like the two who wrote this article (using Scripture to back up what they wrote) than I would someone who is teaching the unbiblical doctrines of preterism and amillennialism.

You'd be hard pressed to document in the NT the claim that one's view on Israel justifies the heretic accusation.

This Israel have nothing with Israel in Moses time and Israel that waited for Messiah.Since Israelites didn't recognized Jesus Christ as true Messiah, they fall out from God.
That is all.
And just one.Land on which Israel exist now is taken from Palestina and Syria!By force of course.

I seriously doubt that anybody who has posted on this thread has bothered to read the entire article.

Delija....Israel took NO land by force. Everything you said cannot be proven by Scriptures because they are all pre-supposed and unbiblical.

personally i don't believe that the modern state of israel is a fulfillment of prophecy...i just don't think it fits...

but with that said...i will not rule out the possibility that the establishment of the modern state of israel was the work of God...maybe as an act of mercy on the jewish people after the tragedy of the holocaust...

I really don't think God had the Jews return as an act of mercy, but the holocaust certainly changed lots of things in our world. It is the first time in 2,000 years that we can see prophecy fulfilled. It amazes me that the dead sea scrolls were found about the same time, they had been hidden in plain sight, not even needing excavation to find them, for over 2,000 years. The information that has come from them is amazing. It all seemed to start after about 1945. I think Jews returning is a result of the holocaust.

In bible class today we went over some of the prophecy scripture we can now see. Irael restored in one day: Isa 66:7-8, Zech 3:9, Hosea 3:4-5. The land will bloom Isa 35:1-8. Irrigation Isa 35:6-7 and 41:18. Jerusalem in Jewish hands Psalm 102:16. Jews from gentile nations returning Isa 43:5-6. Jer 16:14-16.

Lots of people think that the church and God's promises were taken away from the Jews when they could not recognize Christ as the Messiah, and all the promises were given to us. They think God's promises can not be relied on. Scripture says they were blinded by God for our benefit. Scripture says that God makes no difference in his love and care for people, but that He used the Jews to explain God to us and will always bless them because of that. I don't think the idea that God took all promises he gave the Jews back holds water, scripturally. It is making scripture conclude something through man made reason, not scripture.

I have been hearing much more from this side lately, and my heart is softening towards your position. Because of the words in Galatians, Hebrews, and the Corinthian letters, I am certain that many of the promises to Israel are also given to the Church. However, there are Promises made by God to the land of Israel, and those cannot be taken by the Church, because they belong to specific places. Once I concede that much, it only makes sense that a few of the Promises are kept especial for the Israelite people... but I don't think the modern state of Israel represents the remnant. The genealogies are missing. When they are found/revealed, the prophecies will be fulfilled!
Just as they numbered the remnant after the Exile, will it not be so in the Last Days? To each his tribe, and the number of his family.

must all of these prophecies take place before the Last Day? Would these prophecies not be fulfilled in the New Heavens, New Earth, and New Jerusalem? From what I read in the Bible, these are Promises for the eternal state, not something during 3.5 years in the first half of the Tribulation, or even leading up to such an event.

All these Scriptures are referring to the Millennial reign of Christ in Jerusalem. The Millennial reign is only one phase of Christ's eternal rule (Isaiah 9:7).

Isaiah 9:7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
