As we are told we will now share in Christs sufferings as well loveme1

1 Pet 4:12-13 Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed.
 
Kerry without the CROSS I WOULD BE RED AS SCARLETT, how did I become white AS SNOW.... THE BLOOD OF JESUS DID IT FOR ME.. The blood from his mouth when they gave him five stiff ones on the mouth... A Fist in his mouth.. the blood that came from the whipping, the blood that came from the thorns, the blood that came from the nails... ANY blood he shed CLEANSED me...


How can you even think I do not Acknowledge the cross of Jesus? But does God wash us clean and give us a new heart and STOP THERE? NO NO NO NO!!!!


He cleanse us with the blood of His son, and then HE GIVES US A NEW LIFE... ONE ON THE OHTER SIDE OF THE CROSS... God does not wash a Body and then throw it in a drawer... HE PUTS HIS LIFE IN THAT CLEAN VESSEL... TO LIVE A GODLY LIFE ON EARTH...


How can PAul be a GODLY man without the 1.cross and 2. THE SPIRIT AND LIFE OF GOD IN HIM?

Come on how can a sinner get the Spirit/Life of God is the sinner is still of the DEVIL?

Indeed it was not the cross that suffered and shed blood, but the Messiah, crucified for our Salvation.

He was took down and placed in the tomb to be Resurrected.

I'm in Total agreement with you here.
And what if that's practiced every minute of every day.
Even while you are sleeping
Our thoughts are now transformed to the Lords thoughts.
Almost as if we no longer have thoughts independent of God but unified with him.
How much chance would one have of sinning very often as time goes on the closer one gets to the Lord?
Practice makes perfect right?

Christ didnt have special powers of his own accord when he came in the flesh any more than you or I.
Everything came from the Father. Even his words,
Christ was one with the Father, in mind thought soul body and spirit
If you read, Christ did nothing of his own power but of the Fathers.
And because of that he was perfect,
perfect messenger
perfect teacher
perfect prophet
perfect vessel for the Holy Spirit
Perfect sacrifice
Where does it say we are not capable of being just as close,
As Christ said, Love God with ALLLLL
your heart
All your mind
All your body
Alll your spirit

Just for the record Kerry I asked about 50 people to bring me that verse in the past 10 years.... still waiting.. I know why? THERE IS NO SUCH VERSE where a person gave his heart to God, or ACCEPTED GD INTO HIS HEART... THAT IS JUST NOT TRUE...

Amen...the cross is the burden we must bear, not our salvation
 
Compare the original post by Kerry to the Messiah's Testimony.

Compare them to Revelation 2 and 3.

Believe only in this, or only in that...

I will continue to believe what is written.
 
Cobus, I love you and I hope to hunt with you someday. Can you not see the cross. our are you blind. Can you see the Kudu and the gazelle but cannot see the cross. What will i think Cobus. If you have no need of the cross then you are not human. I need the cross everyday.Keep hunting my friend and maybe you will find the cross.

I obey as Christ told me...to take up my cross and follow him
This means to make ourselves a sacrifice to him...in every .....single.....way
God didn't ask if I can bear it or not, and I don't tell him whether I can bear it or not.
He told me to do it, and thats enough
And for the record, as you don't know me who are you to state what I have bore or what I can bear?

That is the cross and our hope and nothing else or are you stupid. If you are no meaning to say you are just call on the cross,

Try not to transfer your own limitations onto others
Instead allow God to enable you to endure all things through Christ who strengthens you.
 
The cross is the door to mysteries. Through this door the intellect makes entrance in to the knowledge of heavenly mysteries. The knowledge of the cross is concealed in the sufferings of the cross. And the more our participation in its sufferings, the greater the perception we gain through the cross. Are you saying you claim the cross to be our salvation?
If so and within Christ asking for this cup to be taken from him would that not then be asking for salvation to be taken?

Or is Salvation in Christ himself, Life
his Resurrection, not his death my friend
