We have enough for all of mankind to rest from their labors. I hate to keep saying this but when the world's economies crah, it pretty much begins the sabbath period.

And we are so very close!

Think about it. No one is to work. Not even animals. Who's going to butcher animals for meat with no payment?

By the way the Sabbath wasn't established in the Law it was established in the 7 days of creation. Sabbath began with himself, God, taking a rest on the 7th day. The Sabbath rest that I take began with God himself as my example on the 7th day.

...more of a state of mind than a particular day." What sayeth you, Christian Chat members?
It's our rest in Christ Jesus. State of mind is part of it, I guess...I'm not going to get too deep with it, because it's not necessary. I'm going to rest my mind ;)~.

Paul never brought any of the laws that were specifically for the children of Israel during the time of Moses to the gentiles. Also under the new covenant it is not a sin to observe the Sabbath that was given to the children of Israel. But it may be a mortal sin to teach a child of God, who is the property of Jesus Christ and a child of His Father, that he or she must observe the 7[SUP]th[/SUP] day Sabbath to obtain salvation.

I am sure you are right, the world's economies will crash. But to read into that the Sabbath is you reading into scripture something that is not there. Sabbath was established at creation, it is part of how God created the world, and the crash of the economic system is not going to change how God created the world.

How God ordered the stars, or even the tides of the ocean is part of creation. Sabbath is part of creation. The economic crash is part of God's order, but it will be handled apart from the order of establishing the Sabbath.

All this talk of resting in Christ in order to get out of resting on the Sabbath just isn't going to fly with God. Can you just see yourself standing up to God on the day He created the Sabbath as he created the world and telling God no, won't do it, I rest in Christ? Christ was there that day. His time to spend as a man on earth was part of creation.

Also, people are saying that you must not work for the kingdom, and any obedience of law is working. Or, you must not work because God might think you don't understand He is God and think that you mean your work as a way to be your own salvation, that you can make yourself sinless. God can see through such. It is like telling God "No, won't lift my finger to obey you".

Paul told us it was perfectly fine to tell God that you want to choose another day, and ask God to bless that day instead of the day God chose. So choose Sunday to worship, our world is sort of built around this. But don't stand up to God and just say no, won't obey you.

The only way to get mankind to rest is the crash of the economy.

Were the other 9 commandements only given to the jews or the gentiles at Mt Sinai Why or Why not ?

Ecclesiastes 3
14 I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him.

Also the Sabbath is about rest, every day of the week you should worship. Pick any day and every day to worship but rest on the Sabbath.

What do you think the sabbath is? Going to a building once a week? It is about resting from our labors.

SABBATH KEEPING IN GOD,S KINGDOM
Isaiah 66

22 For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith theLord, so shall your seed and your name remain.
23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the Lord.
24 And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.

EXODUS 16

19
And Moses said, Let no man leave of it till the morning.

20 Notwithstanding they hearkened not unto Moses; but some of them left of it until the morning, and it bred worms, and stank: and Moses was wroth with them.
21 And they gathered it every morning, every man according to his eating: and when the sun waxed hot, it melted.
22 And it came to pass, that on the sixth day they gathered twice as much bread, two omers for one man: and all the rulers of the congregation came and told Moses.
23 And he said unto them, This is that which the Lord hath said, To morrow is the rest of the holy sabbath unto the Lord: bake that which ye will bake to day, and seethe that ye will seethe; and that which remaineth over lay up for you to be kept until the morning.
24 And they laid it up till the morning, as Moses bade: and it did not stink, neither was there any worm therein.
25 And Moses said, Eat that to day; for to day is a sabbath unto the Lord: to day ye shall not find it in the field.
26 Six days ye shall gather it; but on the seventh day, which is the sabbath, in it there shall be none.
27 And it came to pass, that there went out some of the people on the seventh day for to gather, and they found none.
28 And the Lord said unto Moses, How long refuse ye to keep my commandments and my laws?
29 See, for that the Lord hath given you the sabbath, therefore he giveth you on the sixth day the bread of two days; abide ye every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day.
30 So the people rested on the seventh day.

I know what the scriptures say, but what do they mean? How does one worship God on the sabbath that is different from any other day? Remember it will last 1000 days.

[h=3]Hebrews 4[/h]King James Version (KJV)

4 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
4 For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.
5 And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.
6 Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:
7 Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.
8 For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.
9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

Deuteronomy 29

King James Version (KJV)

29 These are the words of the covenant, which the Lord commanded Moses to make with the children of Israel in the land of Moab, beside the covenant which he made with them in Horeb.

10 Ye stand this day all of you before the Lord your God; your captains of your tribes, your elders, and your officers, with all the men of Israel,
11 Your little ones, your wives, and thy stranger that is in thy camp, from the hewer of thy wood unto the drawer of thy water:
12 That thou shouldest enter into covenant with the Lord thy God, and into his oath, which the Lordthy God maketh with thee this day:
13 That he may establish thee to day for a people unto himself, and that he may be unto thee a God, as he hath said unto thee, and as he hath sworn unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.
14 Neither with you only do I make this covenant and this oath;
15 But with him that standeth here with us this day before the Lord our God, and also with him that is not here with us this day:
